- In this video, I will show the process of building and testing an elevator for a house. The elevator can lift over 300 kilograms. Simple, convenient and compact design allows you to install it in a small basement.

With exception of safety, if wire broke, it will be injurious. Hope it won't happen.
Dropping the remote control then one normal reflex action reaching to catch its fall while ascending could potentially create a crush scenario.
You have a better chance of falling down the stairs
what happens if the motor fail. will the person fall down rapidly? we need safery mechanism. i think the chance of the cable breaking is very slim , choose a stainless steel 316L cable with large gague and it probably never fail. i am worried more about the motor which should be chosen to be oversized.
Very nice machine work, showing how it is installed would be very help full. How is the winch installed at the bottom and how have you arranged for the stop switch to work. I like the idea of the opening hatch, how is it raised from below and what strength are the pneumatic struts.

You can save a lot of time if you buy rollers instead of machining your own. You should also have a raised lip around the perimeter of your platform so you don’t accidentally have any portion of your feet over the edge which could cause injury on your way up.

Ive built my own lift. How do you keep the wire rope from jumping over itself and jerking when going up?
Такой я собирал на швеллерах, для использования в столярном цехе, с 3 этажа спускать столы, стулья. К большому сожалению видео не сохранилось, испортилась флешка на телефоне и много видео пропало. Некоторые поделки есть у меня в канале

Там из пожарного рукава сделанный для ЧПУ станка прижимная была, для верхних царг стульев, это жалко что не сохранилась. Три дня возился с швеллерами, сверлил, варил... Бракованная флешка была наверное, долго не поработала.
I noticed you slid the bearings on the shaft, could the inner race spin on the shaft?
Or did you Locktite the race to the shaft?

I have seen many people get injured because of similar elevators in houses and in restaurants. crashed under, falling and mostly leg stuck.

Диаметр троса составляет 5,5 мм. Длина троса 60 м. Скорость намотки 14 метров в минуту.
