A step-by-step guide on performing a Shearwave Elastography liver study on a Philips EPIQ ultrasound system using the C5-1 transducer.
Shearwave Elastography is used to assess the stiffness of the liver in patients with cirrhotic or fibrotic livers. It provides an absolute qualitative result, reduces objective assessment of liver texture, and is more sensitive to changes in the early stages of firosis.
