+Dong Lick GHK AK platform is pretty legendary among the GBBR community and not only do they look superb, performance is great too. BadaBingPictures yeah I actually just bought the ghk G5 just to see the performance and it's out standing for a cqb loudout. I will be getting this in a week or so because I'm selling my hpa rpk. I'd rather fancy this for milsim than hpa. Thanks for the info and reply great review.
Why does the front of the gun look slightly bent downward as soon as the wooden fore-grip starts? It looks like someone tried to break it over their knee but failed
@@BadaBingPictures I KNOW! I was looking at getting a GHK AK74MN with a stock but then I stared at the grips for a second and I can't stop looking at it and it just made me not want to buy the gun because it looked so weird!
Actually wait, I know what causes this, It's because the bottom of the receiver isn't a perfect 90 degree angle, AK receiver bottoms are angled up slightly because of the magazine or something like that, So it's similar to the Galil AR's receiver but it's not as drastic as the galil's angle.
@@BadaBingPictures You have to stare at it for a while before you notice it. Some manufacturers don't notice the slight angle at the bottom of the AK receiver so they just don't add it at all, or they remove it to make it more aesthetically please, hence why it gradually disappeared.
Badabing would you recommend this over other gbb ak variants? I’d like to know because I think this is cool and am going to try and do a Russian green man loadout and need a better rifle and want to get into the world of gbb from running aeg and primarily using a non blowback hpa m4
You’re right, it is cool! I kind of wish I kept it. If you want a ridiculously long and heavy AK, and want to look at using your HPA tank with a drum...this would be awesome! It’s identical internally to their other AK’s, aside from a factory heavy recoil kit (which I think they still ship with). They’re becoming rarer these days, so you might want to locate one just in case GHK decide to discontinue them. It’s up to you, it’s no better/no worse than their other variants.
BadaBingPictures perfect for cqb lmao but anyway would you recommend ghk aks in general? I’ve been looking into lct and used e&l ak74s but can’t decide there’s so many options between plain aeg gbb hpa and even ebb as well as the different cool rifles like the different ak74s that are out in the airsoft world and the weirder guns like the lct pp19-01 and the modify gbb pp2000
@@gooseman7522the first gen GHK AK74 variants had issues. I gave mine away because it tended to break it's soft bolt parts. But I hear anything made after 2012 is good.
Ok: Seeing that you have experience with two systems that I want, please help me! I'm a jobless 15 y/o and new gun opportunities don't come very often for me, so I want to make the right choice! I'm selling my VFC UMP and am going to buy a GHK GBBR. I already have a g5. Now, my question: GHK m4 mod1 OR AK system? Thanks Badabing!
+epicstudioz73 Dude, that's a hard decision. They're both fantastic, so really it'll come down to if you want easier modularity with the M4, accessory wise and a standardised mag pouch size or AK platform and be a rebel. Ya know, cuz everyone has an M4 😉 You win either way
Do you think the outer barrel is susceptible to bending? It’s not made of steel and I’m worried that when I eventually drop down with the bipod extended the barrel will start to bend upward. I figure it’s made of some pot metal alloy, which leaves me to think it’s going to warp at some point.
Great review! I wish GHK's AK system was as good as their M4. It does shoot great and everything, but I still don't understand why the M4 has full steel internals and a steel outer barrel while the AK and AUG don't. Price isn't the same, too :p
+zebracherub Me too, I think it's about time they upgraded the ak. Although I don't mind the AKM not having the steel outer barrel, it's fairly light and easy to throw about, on the other hand that RPK haha. Total monster! The steel outer on the RPK is nice and heavy. The balance point is pretty much on the wooden hand guards so it's handy carrying it by your side if not slung. Regards to the M4, I think it must be something GHK take a lot of pride in. What with continued improvements, anything less than steel is no good lol. Thanks for watching buddy!
+aaron4820 I did when I fired .30's on fully auto. I'd get 1 or two hit the deck and the next few in the burst would fly straight. I played about with the hopup but eventually I dropped down to .25's so they were light enough to reach out there even on auto.
Hi badabing love your vids and advice, I wanted to ask what bucking did you replace the stock one with and what ammo do you recommend? also did you ever experience the hop up wheel adjusting by itself due to the impact from the bolt? Cheers
+capier caputin I filed out a ramp on the hopup chamber itself to help the bb to roll up and into place. Seems to have done the trick and a common fix. There is a guide on gas gun info forum.
Hi, badaBing. What upgrades are essential for GHK AK users? I thinking about GHK - AK74MN GBB Rifle (2019 version), maybe do you know what's improved in 2019 version? Also, I wanted to know or you use co2 mags with ak? What about gun wear using co2, is it a damaging weapon fast? Thank you for help mate!
Hi, I think the most popular upgrade would be a steel auto sear as the original one tends to break over the first few thousand rounds. Its only the piece which allows for automatic fire, semi auto will still function fine. I haven't had the need to upgrade my AKM beyond that, although I did replace the bucking as mine got chewed up following a cracked HU chamber. So you could invest in an upgrade chamber set, but I wouldn't say its essential. I don't use Co2, so I don't know of any additional wear that it'll put on the AK. Plenty of people fuel up their AK's with it though.
@@BadaBingPictures Many thanks man, you are awesome. I don't want to bother you but I have a few more questions, please:) I have been watching your channel for about 4 years. I know you use propane mags. summer in my country doesn't last long, what's the difference between propane and co2? what is the difference in cold weather? What do you think about tnt ghk ak kit? Worth it? and Ra-tech - N.P.A.S AK complete steel bolt(For GHK) ? I'm interested in improving the weapon in general? Maybe u know what is the best/popular ghk ak upgrades on the market? Maybe you can recommend any good groups on FB about ghk gbb? Many thanks BadaBing
You are very welcome. CO2 is a higher pressure gas and it will allow the AK to operate in colder temperatures where green gas / propane may struggle. If you watch my GHK M4 V2 video, I show you the benefit of using CO2 during the winter. That’s the kind of difference you’ll likely see. I haven’t used the tnt kit for the GHK AK series. So I cannot say for certain. If I were you, I would actually use the rifle in its stock configuration before you jump in with buying upgrades. Without owning / using the rifle, you don’t know if the rifle needs improving. Try not to assume that upgrades are going to fix problems that may not exist in the first place. If you’re concerned about accuracy, it’s no good spending $100 on an upgraded barrel / hop up set if you are going to be using mid quality low weight bbs. Good accuracy and range begins with good ammo. My advice is to start with good heavy weight bbs and then you can see it’s true potential. I’d recommend against the RA tech steel bolt. The AK series doesn’t need it. If you want heavier recoil, you’ll likely be paying a penalty for it. Whether that’s other parts in the rifle being worn out quicker due to the harder steel bolt bashing the small non-steel components, or the gas efficiency being decreased because it’s working harder to drive the heavier bolt. Also RA Tech doesn’t have the best reputation when it comes to quality control. The stock shooting performance of the GHK ak series is so good because it’s exceptionally well tuned for the weight of its alloy bolt, it’s half bolt travel and it’s excellently efficient gas system. I’m the kind of user that doesn’t buy upgrades or techs out GBBR’s internally if the gbb pistol/SMG/rifle doesn’t require them. My AKM is close to being all stock internally because I don’t see the necessity to improve it, it works very well with the ammo I use within it. Check out GHK Samoon Facebook group as that is a good learning resource as well as the GBBR Heavy Recoil Club Discord Server (also available on Facebook). Hope this helps you when considering your next purchase. Just don’t want you to spend more money than you have to. Oh and I don’t believe they have made an incremental changes with regards to production year. As far as I’m aware it’s only just to identify the year in which it was made, rather that any specific generational changes.
