I agree Tom Baker is and always will be the best Doctor ever in Dr Whos history and nobody IMO since he left has ever been so good or so awesome in the role
Thank you for uploading this video. It's been missing from UA-cam for many years probably due to the BBC blocking it, but I'm glad to see the footage again. Tom Baker is in fine form for this video clip.
There was a clip on YT years ago of Tom being interviewed by Frank Bough on Nationwide. It was painful. Tom appeared to be in a realm beyond drunk and hardly said a word, just glared balefully at Frank. I’d love to see it again as it’s so weird.
The year this was shown I was 11 years old only and also Blakes Seven had shown its third series and also I had left primary school and gone into secondary school and also I wish I had been 5 or 10 years older than I was at the time this was shown
@@davidbull7210 Tom Baker was and always will be my Doctor until the day I drop down dead and also when Tom left Dr Who I was bloody upset and I hated been the age I turned the year he left Dr Who which for me was 12 and if I had been 6 or even more years older than 12 in 1981 I would have been out of dreaded school and hopefully working and earning a reasonable wage packet
You can tell in his eyes the sadness for handing over the torch of Dr Who - Sad interview really 😔
I can see that too
Yes he should not have left it went down hill after that
He’s wearing 10s clothes 💙😂
Tom had a liquid lunch that day good man he is
That voice though he became king of voiceovers for UK adverts
Baker should have been the Doctor for 15 years at least! He was the best EVER!!!!

He *is* Doctor Who. He *is* the Doctor. Every one else is just an actor trying to play the Doctor
while he is brilliant i think he left at the right time
To this day I’m still traumatised. More than ever now I come to think of it.
He's really got his eyes firmly locked Sue Cook! 😂

The Day of the Doctor! I was ten at the time and Tom Baker was my favourite Time Lord, even though I didn't like his gravelly voice.

Long lunch! Just getting his second wind
I wish it had subtitles, I can't understand/hear anything :'(
Dreadfully uncomfortable to watch. He OWNS that Police Box, and rightly so
Why is tom baler wearing the 10th doctor’s suit
O:22 classic face
Tom Baker looks upset
Tom wasn't too well around this time.
Disco doctor!
He is drunk
Could be.

There was an interview with Frank Bough on Nationwide, Tom was drunk and scary, it’s no longer on youtube.
Sozzled
She's always a combative interviewer and it puts the subject on the defensive and almost clam up.
