Yay! Thank you!
Very nice would be absolutely perfect with pockets!
Ah! Well, you can certainly add pockets by making the same panels smaller.
Very good. Thanks

It’s lovely. Thank you for the pattern. I really appreciate your 😅tutorials. I just started on this one here and it’s a beautiful caramel chocolate in color. I’ll let you know how it turns out. 😅 happy holidays to you and yours. LJ
Oooh that sounds like a beautiful color. Happy holidays to you and yours as well.
Perfeito obrigado 😍
Thank you!
Love it
Thank you!
Love love love this pattern. Cant wait to begin. I don't see where mention how much yarn to purchase for the Sweater.
Detail is in the description box below the video. 560 yards was used for size small. Add another 70 yards per each additional size larger.
Your work is always amazing! Thank you for sharing! I did look at the blog, however I couldn’t see where it said how many yards to buy for the other sizes. Where can I find that please?
THank you so much! I would add another 70 yards per each larger size. 560 yards was used for size small.
Superbe !👏👏👍👍👍
Thank you!
Love it! do you think I can do it without the hood? And with a border like the one you do on the cocoon shrug? Thanks!😍
I'm happy you like it! You can make it without the hood, however, you will need to adjust the back neck. It will likely be too wide without the hood. Add a row of sc's along the top of the front panels and around the neck. Sk a few stitches along the neck to shorten up the opening.
@@CrazyCoolCrochet got it! Thank you! I’ll share a picture when I finish it.
I made this in Hobbii Amigo Giga color 25 with 12 MM hook. I made xl and there is lots of room to wrap it around yourself if you are sz 12-14. I ended up adding 5 rows of hdc after a row of singles to the bottom for trim as I actually made the whole thing in hdc. It took 9 balls and turned out great for my first sweater project. Wish I could add a picture to show you but can't see how to do that. Thanks for the tips And pattern xo
If you changed the stitch to hdc then you would absolutely have a much larger finished product. I'm glad you liked the outcome anyway!
Hello dear trust you keeping well beautiful pattern I've subscribed to your channel I'm Mrs Sandy Kasi South Africa Kzn Durban tc God bless 🙏🙌❤
Welcome Mrs. Sandy from South Africa! I'm glad you like this design.
Hola. Que belleza, cuantos ovillos usaste ??

Hello, I loved this coat and would like to weave it. Could you tell us how many centimeters thick this yarn is, so I can buy an equivalent one. Thank you very much in advance.
This used a #6 (super bulky) yarn as the video explained. Unfortunately, I don't know how to translate that in centimeters.
I used bernat softee chunky. It is a much lighter 6 yarn. I just finished the two front panels and I realize if I decide to continue it will definitely be a cropped cardigan. My bad though because I didn’t pay attention to the measurements, just the stitches and rows 😅 I knew there would some difference but ended up more drastic than I expected. Definitely pay attention to the measurements lol
I hope you will be able to work it out. Let me know how it turns out.
@@CrazyCoolCrochet I think lll proceed but fix it by adding ribbing
@@jaciw Perfect!
I would like to make this for my granddaughter, she is 5”7 should I make the foundation longer and I believe her arm length is about 22 inches, I’m sorry for appearing dumb but I’m new at this and have never made anything like this before
First you absolutely do NOT appear dumb. You have very legitimate questions. While the design of this is on the shorter side, I might be inclined to add an inch or two to the foundation chain. That will result in a longer (not wider) jacket. My arm is 20 inches and I'm very petite. So again, feel free to add a little length to the sleeves. I hope this helps!
Can somebody help me please? I am trying to find this kind of yarn but for me it’s imposible! Is there other kind of yarn I can use it to made this beautiful sweater? I appreciate your help! Thanks!
Hey! So I’ve made almost all the panels but I’m realizing it’s coming out like 3-4 inches smaller than yours 😅 … my size Q is a 15mm.. but I’m still using a size 6 yarn. It’s the bernat softee chunky. Any suggestions? Should I size up to the medium? I am going to frog and start over which sucks but it’s good that the panels work up so quickly I guess 🥲
I wanted to reply right away because you're working this now. So sorry you need to frog and start over. I would try the medium. And be sure you're using a super loose tension. That makes a huge difference as well. Let me know how it goes!
@@CrazyCoolCrochet okay! I’ll start the medium right now after frogging 😊 I kind of thought that from the beginning but still wanted it to be fitted ugh lol. I think it’ll still be that way since I’m using the smaller hook though. And yes… trying to tell myself to not be so tight 😂 thank you so much for always replying so quickly!
Hon, she said SUPER CHUNKY yarn size 6.
This is different from a CHUNKY yarn size 5.
I've given up on YT crochet except for a few old timers bc the vids are so poor its not worth your time.
Do you have any patterns with 10 ply chunky cardigan neddles 6.5?? Appreciated if you replay.
Those are very specific supplies. Please check the home page (click on Videos at the top) to see if you see something you like.
Argentina. 🇦🇷😊
Hello Argentina! Glad to have you here.
❤
So glad i came across this, i want to make a hoodie for my two granddaughters & one for myself. 😀
Wonderful! I'm so happy you like this.
When I slip stich the parts together the yarn stretch and makes this big holes around where I attach, how can I avoid this ? 😞
As I said at 9:35 you want to use a smaller hook and work under 2 strands of each panel.
According to the information in the description size small uses 64 ounces/560 yards. It's not adding up to me. How many skeins of yarn bee were used for the size small in the video?
Hobby Lobby seems to have discontinued that exact yarn. The closest I could find now is Yarn Bee Effortless which comes in 6 ounce skeins. Ten skeins sounds about right. Of course, I would have purchased the yarn on sale! I hope this helps.
Can you hand knit this? I’m very beginner and have been looking for a hoodie pattern I can hand knit
Interesting question. Only you can answer whether or not you can do something. This design is meant to be crocheted, not knit or hand knit. If you watch the video and if you know how to hand-knit, then you should know whether you can do it. As for me...nope. LOL. Please let us know if you try it your way and how it turns out.
If I want to make it longer how should I make the change?
Please watch the video. I tell how to make it longer. Thank you!
Pls ma i will really appreciate if u can tell me how many yarn you used to this project
#6 super bulky yarn / 64 ounces / 560 yards
How many rolls or yarn did you use
I say in the video at 01:36 to look in the description area below the video for that detail. If you can't open up that section: #6 super bulky yarn / 64 ounces / 560 yards
How many skeins are needed for a medium size?
I believe this particular yarn was discontinued so I will tell you the yardage instead. 630 yards.
Could I make it with just a high-ish collar instead of a hood? If so, how?
I have to start to see if I can make because as a visual learner the instructions not making sense
Please feel free to comment if you get stuck. I will try to help you out.
❤❤
Thank you!

Thank you!
I sure wish I could do this. My brain just doesn’t click on for it. I am a loom knitter it’s the best that I can do.
This looks fairly easy to follow. I also like "Jada in stitches", "fiber flux", Allison Russell" & "Melanie Ham. I dislike channels that only do a "sample" size.
How many skeins did this take?
I used 64 ounces. I don't recall how many skeins. A lot. LOL. But I only buy on sale!
How many yards is that 😅
So What About This Would Not Work With A Different Size Yarn? Because The Reason Didn’t Make Sense
The reason didn't make sense? Maybe I didn't elaborate enough. Of course you can use a different size yarn, however you will NOT get the result that I was going for. The result that I designed. I wanted the stitch to resemble a knit look AND I wanted the overall design to be exaggerated (for lack of a better word). I wanted the stitches to be LARGE. I tried a #5 and I didn't get that result. I tried doubling a #4 and lost the look of the stitch. I even tried different #6's that didn't work; the yarn was too flimsy. I have seen others use a different size yarn and the result was something entirely different. It looks like any other cardigan rather than a thick, chunky, exaggerated stitch jacket. I hope the reason makes more sense now.
@@CrazyCoolCrochet Yes This Absolutely Does Make Sense Now, Thank You
When making the hood..do you really need to make two panels and sew two sides? Wouldnt it be easier to make one longer panel, fold it over and only sew one seam?? 😮
Valid question. Honestly I don't remember why I did it in two panels. I'm thinking it was simply a matter of habit as most hoods are made with two panels in order to control the pointy tip that happens with one panel. However, I didn't do anything with this particular pattern to affect the point. The yarn is so thick it didn't make a difference. Let us know if you make this hood with one panel and if it made a difference.
@@CrazyCoolCrochet Thanks. I'm just a beginner, so I'm trying to learn. I guess it's like anything..diff ways to do it.
As for the point it can still be managed either way I'd say.
I have since seen a tutorial with it being done with just one panel. Let's hope I can do it that way.
Thanks 🙏
@@lusimyer Sometimes it takes a beginner to remind me to keep it simple. Thank you for watching and commenting!
