Well, Ricks are classic instruments like Fenders (quality costs), but more suitable for rock. And they look really cool too. But for allround bass, ill recommend a jazz bass

I've seen people lock in with drums, but jeez! Your timing is impeccable!

    to snapshot:
No, not in this exercise, but i could have done the plucking on the a string with doublethumb up stroke and getting almost the same sound. I do that sometimes

    to comeruk:
Most muting to stop strings from sounding when they're not supposed too, happens in left hand, but i nocited that my forarms underside lightly touches the e and a string when playing the higher strings, so its a yes (just found out actually in connection to your q).

Hey MarloweDK, got a question for you - is it me, or are Rickenbackers overpriced in relation to the their sound quality? What I mean is that all your funky stuff have sounded far better on your fender j-basses, even your p-bass so I'm wondering whether they're worth that price tag. Thanks
By the way, I'm not a bass player - planning to get into it when time and cash permit - and I'm looking around for bass sounds, styles, instruments, musicians etc.

continuing with my not bothering the you tube bass gods, i am requesting nearly any betty davis song. larry graham played bass on most of them so they all juicy, "get in there" has a nice itty bitty lil solo in it, "your my man "is a bouncy funk masterpiece, i cant even put into words how great of a track"come take me " is, it just sounds like a fun bass line to play ( if Your actually good) which you are. i thank you in advance for your consideration.
