Great post and discussion. Looks like a well designed and thought out product. I like the parameter installation setup on these better than the others I've seen. Would definitely consider getting this if I weren't already so invested in my powered reel system
@@MarkThomasBuilder that's a great point as well! I'm in Florida and mow at less than one inch, so during the growing season, I'm literally mowing every two days. A machine like this would give me a lot of time back each week
While I'm impressed with the mower design and functionality, please be aware that you must be within 10 mile radius of the Kress RTKn antenna in order for the mower to function.
Does the 'pilot stick' come with the mower? No wire is great, but you need an installer to come adjust the parameter everytime you want to change something?
I bought one of these robots last week. Awesome machine. My grass looks good every day. I'm going to rest my robot 2 days a week. I'd be interested if anyone has any advice about rest days.
Kress looks really nice and ahead of others with their wireless mowers as it will work under trees. My concern and not mentioned in your video but Autmow says this must be dealer installed. Is that correct?
I am trying to move from my Husqvarna 450XH to a Kress, but the dealer is not close enough. You need to be within 8 miles of the dealer mounted antenna. So, I am patiently waiting.
other than the "pilot stick thingy" it doesn't seem much different from a number of others. Lubba has 4WD and Yarbo has caterpillar tracks. Wish someone would do a comparison on how well they work. TKS
charging part is chep worx style if not the same, . there are always problems with it, after a few years the problems arise with it not connecting and having to be cleaned constantly. the design is not great either, the traction wheels are far too far back, making it difficult for it to turn the front around, and it will often lose its grip. Have had machines with the same type of design before and they have never been super good.
Would you consider a robotic mower? Please explain...

Thanks, I'm impressed with these as well. I was just thinking that it would be nice to go on vacation and come home a week later to a fresh cut lawn.

Looks cool
Yes, I'd love to give one of these a try.

That's good to know. I hope to get one of these mowers on the channel to mow 4 acres.

Good question, I'll see what I can find out about that.
Yes, initial installation is by the dealer.

Interesting, I didn't know about the 8 miles situation. I live within about 4 miles from a dealer.
Need in Mettawa Il 60045 1.25 acre not able to see if there is a network for me?
I would think it would work there. Do you have a nearby Kress dealer?

I'd like to do a comparison someday. I'll have to check out some of the other brands you mentioned.
