Y’alls banter is fabulous lol! And Safia, I’m so sorry to hear about your loss of your grandfather, that must have been so traumatic. Making his favorite food is such a sweet way of honoring him and helping you heal. Love you both 💚🙏🕊
Awesome effort by Natalie 👍🏾. We share in your joy for such gifts ❤️. Ali is the tech expert... but he can't cook, van he?????? 😉 So nice to see Manzoor bhai. (However also I like working by timer 👍🏾). And thank you for sharing about your special relationship with your grandfather, Safia ❤️. That mutton pulao looked amazing and I believe would've made him very happy 🙏🏽
Such an honor to be introduced to your culture, but also your family, thru these videos. We all learn about love, friendship and caring through sharing a meal. A very basic act that can mean so much... Thank you for everything you do.....
I love watching you guys. I’m so sorry to hear about your grandfather 😢 sending my condolences 🙏🏼❤️ Could you please tell me the ingredients to make your chai and how you do it. I’ve been wanting to try it so bad.
If you look on this channel, you'll see that Safia did make a video specifically featuring three kinds of teas and how to make them. It was uploaded very recently. You can also find recipes for Masala Chai and others right here on UA-cam, I found several and have made the teas. Very delicious!
The protein will only be useful if you workout hard and regularly, sadly if you aren’t consistent it may make you put on fat instead of muscle. Good luck with your workouts though!
I think you're presuming he wants to bulk up. If he's trying to lose weight, and the powder doesn't have a ton of sugar in it, it can help with satiety. Remember, they have white flour roti and sweetened tea for breakfast. This or his usual omelets might be better choices for satiety sake. I'd trust the trainer, who has the whole picture. We only see part of it
@@LindaC616 bulking up is the only reason (in this context) for taking protein powder, hence the heads up if he’s not working out hard enough. All supplements have side effects and depending on what you’re doing the side effects could be unexpected. I’m simply highlighting that protein powder will make you gain body fat if you don’t physically need it. If he needs satiety, he’d be better off eating vegetables full of non fattening fibre.
@@LindaC616 No I’m not a dietician, but thanks for asking, I have however spent lots of time over many years working out at the gym, and am familiar with workout supplements (which you don’t need to be a dietician to recommend, sell or use), and personal trainers (who often get commissions for selling supplements). As I mentioned before, it’s about context. Ali was at the gym, his trainer recommended it to him after a weights session, and Ali isn’t overweight. One doesn’t need to be a dietician to join the dots. Also there are more effective workout supplements than protein powder for shredding (fat loss), which I’m sure his trainer would have recommended instead / as well if that was Ali’s main goal. Finally, Ali said he’d like to go more often to the gym, hence my comment, if you aren’t working out enough, (increasing your caloric intake with) protein powder runs the risk of weight gain. It’s basic maths, consuming more calories than you burn etc etc… Anyway, I was simply offering a well intended generic comment for someone with less experience in this subject matter. Accordingly, I wish Ali the best of luck with his workout journey.
@@bertiecurlynoodie same, but since I have been following the channel, I know that he was working on losing weight in the last year. And I trust that his trainer knows what his goals are and make suggestions to him accordingly
The food looks delicious, I envy you for having mutton available, it is really hard to get in USA where I live, but I love it. You are both so beautiful and sweet people; I am glad you share some of your lives with me!
Protein powder is good, her is what a nutritionalist will tell you to do in general- drink a glass of water upon waking up, it is for heart health and helps prevent heart attack and stroke- because you get dehydrated as you sleep. Then eat protein within an hour of waking- this does help your metabolism throughout the day- and is good for brain health too.
I'm glad to hear Mazoora speaking.. I teach English for Ielts, so I know how confusing it can be. Different word same spelling. Or whether, weather, lol I distract my husband. Men hahaha
You two are so cute. Your playful boasting and teasing were humorous and very real. This felt very much like spending time with friends and neighbors. Thank you for sharing your time and a bit of your lives. My heart broke to hear of Safia's grandfather. We lost so many people to the virus. Best to you both, be safe, be well.
Your sister who loves kpop will fall in love with Kimash Qudaibergen if she hears him. He is the worlds best singer. He is from Kazykstan (not sure of spelling). His songs SOS and Stranger will blow everyone's minds. He is also a humble, kind, awesome person.
Ali, it takes 27 days to make or break a habit. Keep going. In a month you will not like to miss a day, you will feel great and want to do it more. Best wishes to your health✌️💞
More and more the two of you seem like family members. :) You have such a busy life and so many people coming through your door. Ali, I'm not so sure about the protein powder, but I eat a lot of protein in my diet. I have always made due with the exercise of work, being a carpenter. But I do know that muscle you have gained turns to fat when you stop using it. Getting muscular is like a prison sentence, and chains you to the gym. Go for good cardio instead. You can run and do calisthenics anywhere. Poor Safia, banished away from her husband's desk.... into the sunshine which highlights the colors of her beautiful dresses and adds a sparkle to her eyes. The viewers win that battle. :) Mutton is not available fresh where I live, but that dish in remembrance of your grandfather made me wish to try it. Maybe you guys need a cat. :)
Yes, protein powders are good for some extra protein, especially if/when you're losing weight. Weight loss begins in the kitchen. "Calories in" VS "Calories out" (energy balance). Find out how many calories it takes to maintain your current bodyweight, then eat in a slight deficit. Adjust as needed. There are plenty of "calorie calculators" online to give you a good starting point. Good luck.
Some protein powder tips: if you mix it with just enough water to make a batter consistency and add a pinch of baking powder you can make a little griddle cake/pancake. Does it taste like cake? Only if you havent had real cake in a while, but it doesnt taste bad😂
I have used protein powder before. I've used whey (milk) and pea. I've had a gym membership for several years, but I haven't been in several months. I do a lot of heavy lifting at my job during the day, so I don't want to go to the gym.
I understand that the ritual of your grandfather is close to your heart since you grew up with it, and I can see how you'd want to emulate it in your own house now. However it would be remiss of me if I did not state that this ritual has absolutely no basis in Islam and is more reminiscent of pagan belief systems where they offer food for the dead. From a religious perspective it would be better for you to not continue this ritual despite your natural sentimental attachment to it. The very concept of offering food to the deceased or thinking that they will get this earthly food or some version of this food in the afterlife is antithetical to Islam.
Firstly, im autistic, and struggle with “tone”, so please don’t take what i say as anything but respectfully intended and lighthearted. I completely get what you are saying, but I don’t think that’s what Safia meant. She isn’t actually leaving food out for her grandfather, or offering it up, like the pagans did, but just saying that she made it in honor of him. It’s a sweet idea that I think is very healing for the heart to think that he is watching over her and enjoying the same. As a Jew, i can say that we share the same commandments when it comes to this matter. Maybe I misconstrued what she said, but this is how I understood it. I often cook recipes from relatives long passed and it is a lovely connection to remember them while cooking and eating their dish. Hope your day is a joyful one 🙏💚🕊
@@MayimHastings No offence taken, Muslims and Jews do indeed share many of the same commandments as you rightly noted. You are right that she doesn't leave out the food for the deceased, and does actually consume it herself, but the problematic part occurs when she says that her ancestors will receive this food in the afterlife. Like I mentioned in my first comment, I completely understand how someone who grew up with a certain ritual in their home would want to continue it in memory of their loved ones, but as a Muslim it is also my duty to counsel my fellow Muslims when I feel that they might be going against Islamic teachings. Safia could still remember and honour the memory of her grandfather by making mutton every Friday without the "offering" part. At the end of the day I can merely suggest things to my fellow Muslims out of concern for them, what they choose to follow is of course entirely up to them. Good day to you as well my fellow brother/sister of the Abrahamic Faith. May God shower His mercy and blessings on all of us.

Tea made with milk isn't a thing where I live (US) so I'd have my tea made with water like Ali does. I also prefer my coffee without milk or cream.
