Nestled in a rustic clearing surrounded by 45 acres of woods is a special camp for special children and adults...that's where you'll find Camp Millhouse.
Every summer since 1937, this camp has served as a retreat for children and young adults with mental and physical disabilities. Parents of these special campers can plan their personal vacations knowing that their children are at a safe, fun-filled, and caring American Camping Association (A.C.A.) accredited camp.
We are here to build self-esteem, independence, and enrich the lives of persons with special needs through the unique outdoor activities and natural setting that Camp Millhouse provides.

It’s make me happy to see people with special need people .doing nice things for them .I love talking to them and getting to know them because they are a very nice person and they are fun to hang around.keep up the good work by have a fun place for them to be around
It is so amazing to see the different groups of people come together and enjoy life without Judgement. Absolutely love it!

Jessica has to work with me and I have been in bed for about three years since I’ve seen you guys and then we are just about everything else that you need for the in laws that are the only way I am in love for me to get a better person I know you know what to tell him to come and do that I love him so I can give him my money I love to do that he would like you I know I have him in his family

This makes me miss camp even more (different camp though)... I should stop watching videos like this :D I love camp and I've done 11 weeks of counseling since July 2017 every school holiday :D it's super exhausting to do 1:1 and work 14/15 hrs a day for 2 weeks straight, but it's super fun (I almost did 6 weeks this summer, but they already had enough counselors) :/ so 2 weeks camp, 2 weeks off and another 2 weeks camp :D... but after that I won't be able to do camp for at least a year and I don't know how o.O I've been home a week now and I want to go back ^^

Oh my goodness I just love it. My sister is 55 and has Cerebral Palsy and has never walked. I would love for her to be able to go to one of these camps. I know she would have a ball. We live in the southern part of Va. Any information would be greatly appreciated about these camps or if you know of another she might would be able to go to. It would just melt my heart to see my sister having this much fun. Thanks yall

N I, M SLIGHTY BRAIN DAMAGE.. BUT NOW I NEED HELP TO TIE MY SHOES. YOU, RE SISTER IS SO DARN LUCKY TO HAVE A SISTER LIKE YOU. I, VE BEEN TO SUMMER CAMP IT WAS IN 1975.N 2002.. I USE TO PLAY IN THE SPECIAL OLMPICS. I PLAYED SOFTBALL N 🎳 BOWLING.

I am so sorry. I have been disabled my whole life because of being born at 24 weeks early. I am 25 and I 💜❤️ absolutely love a special needs camp in purdy Missouri called Camp Barnabas.

Camp Barnabas is really really close to my heart❤️ and they have multiple different weeks of camp. It is also a Christian based camp and we do a lot of cheers and sing a lot of songs to help prevent over stimulation.
