Surely the true injustice is that for many years women were paid their State pension 5 years earlier than men despite living around 6 years longer on average therby being paid the State pension no less than 11 years more than men.Where is the compensation for men who actually lost this money relative to women, rather than simply being misinformed about it.

And as to not being notified, come on take some personal responsibility. No one can reasonably say they "missed" the changes given how widely they were reported.
Where are you getting your statistics from? Because I googled it and the uk ONS says on average women live four years longer than men. I think this argument is quite childish, personally, given that women were unable to get credit cards and mortgages in their own name until around the 70s and the wage gap is still very large. That isn’t even touching on all the unpaid labor women do, it’s so marked that married men live longer than unmarried men but the opposite is true for women. Their husbands are literally sucking the life out of them.

Its a fact of life that politicians will say they will do one thing and do another and unfortunately no one should be surprised. What i dont understand though is if say today they increased the state pension age in 15 years and it affected me why i should get compensation for not knowing about it due to not knowing enough about my retirement and hence other tax payers have to pay me. Also it is a simple fact that due to mortality if one believes in equality of outcomes that would mean the SPA should always have been older for women. I do feel sorry for those badly affected although taking resoonsibility for retirement planning rests mainly with the individual in my view
