I would have liked to see and hear more about caring for them.
I have a pink japonica camellia tree. It is well established, behind a pine tree and it gets morning sun.
We give it ericaceous compost once a year and water it often in dry spells. It also has mulch over its roots.
However, its flowers turn brown quickly and my gardener friend said it is due to frost
Also, a lot of branches are weak and get floppy when I flower grows on them.
So we have prunned it now, as we didn't get beautiful blooms anyway, and fertilised it with camellia feed.
Is there anything else we should do to help it bloom next year please?

Some are saying camelia should not get direct sunlight but sir, your growing very well in to the ground, doesn't it get direct sunlight? I need your advice.
