Quickpick is an awesome addition to the line up of figures. It's great to get more obscure characters that should have had figures in the original line of figures.
I remember in an interview with Bryan long ago when this line was starting they were expecting as the line would go deeper, less people would be interested, he expected most of the fans would buy the core team, mutants and maybe something else, so probable this should be expected once the main team is out.
Preordered 2 of each as usual. Thinking of going back for another Snarf so that I will have an extra standing tail base for Snarfer. I only remember 2 Quick Pick episodes but he definitely got alot of screen time during Mandora's first appearance. It's a good cut as far as I'm concerned. Dream Master has major cool factor for me. Just looks great! As for Snarfer and Young Lion-O, they're core essentials. The collection wouldn't be complete without them.
Thundercats has been my dream toy line so I'm in for almost everything but I would prefer new characters like EnFlamer, Safari Joe, the Demolisher or any Berserker or Lunatak. That said i do feel prices on small figures should be adjusted down like the larger figures are adjusted up.
I’ll get Snarfer and maybe Quick Pick if they eventually go on sale but won’t lose any sleep if they do sell out. Don’t care at all about the other two.
I’m a die hard Thundercats fan I pre ordered Wave 10 but only 3 of the 4 I pre ordered Quickpick Snarfer and Young Lion- O . I know a lot of people were expecting more Lunataks or Berserkers but I think this is pretty solid. I’m excited for Wave 11 and excited for to get this wave in my collection.
But Mike with that Young Lion-O …you can finally use that old Jaga in display with that young Lion-O while you can have the ghost Jaga in display with the rest. Lol
I personally like a lot that Translucent Mumm-Ra Mike... I can picture him with led lights in the back... He will looking freaking cool. The other one I like from this wave is Quick Pick Mike. 😀💡👍
What is disappointiing is the large amounts of re-use which lowers costs does not have those same lower costs passed on to the fans, collectors, and customers. Companies need to keep in mind that when targeting adult collectors they are dealing with people who know as much or more about business and economics and engineering and manufacturing than they do.
I believe safari Joe is more obscure than the thief? Nice video good to talk about that things. I like this wave. As I can see them easier to display, love mamra young liono and the thief. To me only snarfer is not that great, although I like to have it as a character
Lion-O is an all-new sculpt. Even the thighs are different (Wilykit has beefier thighs; no skipping leg day). Snarfer is probably a repaint of the disappointing Snarf. I hate that their legs can't come together -- it looks like their water just broke. Agree about Mumm-Ra seeming like more of an exclusive. Seems like it should have swapped places with Ghost Jaga, to have Jaga in a regular wave. Quick-pick is really cool. A lot of these characters, like Mongor or Willa (great figures, by the way), I flat out don't remember, but seeing Quick-pick, I was like, "Oh yeah,! Him!" It's fun to rediscover something you haven't thought about in years. I'm pre-ordering the whole wave direct from Super7. Might as well. Except for the Reptilians (waiting for a sale), I've been complete so far, and while Flynn tends to exaggerate the scarcity of his product, I do believe that these will be sold out within a few months after they come out.
It's obvious this wave needed anchor characters especially at wave 10 because the sales are probably getting real low. I know as collectors we hate on McFarlane for making so many batman but batman will always outsell Ras 10 to 1. Same here with Liono to a Lunatak
Not a terribly exciting wave, young lion-o is a neat surprise. Probably not in on any of these though. The villains you mentioned like driller, safari joe, zaxx, demolisher, and the rest of the berzerkers are definitely more on my radar than anything else. Claudus, Turmagar, and Jagara are probably the only protagonists that would get my attention at this point. The mirror wraith and plutar would be cool too.
Apparently this line might come to an end after this year because the sales are not there. That's what I got from the recent interview on Robo Don't Know
Brian didn't mention anything regarding that. They explained that there's a certain number of ppl that always purchase ThunderCats, and up to wave 14 is planned out. And then reading all the comments saying that they lost the disney license...but not one of them pointed out the fact that Brian is optimistic that they'll acquire it back, sooner than later hopefully.
I really hope not! There are alot of good characters left on the table and I mean besides the Lunattacks and Berserkers. There's also a new comic title releasing in February from Dynamite that I hope will drive up interest in the brand. If sales are flagging they may want to consider some more generic type characters for the diehard fans to army build with. I bought 5 each of the reptilians along with extra Jackalman and Monkian figures for this purpose and would happily build out a Berbil or warrior maiden village population. There's also the Tuskas, Wolos, Bolkins and Brute Men. I feel like there could be a long way to go with this one if they can keep the prices low enough. We also need a fleet of Nose-divers and Sky-cutters!
I heard from a rumor that Super7 is cutting back on the packaging, no Red Foil on the logo, NO slip covers as well and NO brown shipper boxes but still at the outrageous $55+ price, so Brian Flynn expect to cut back on these and expect us to send him full prices on small characters. also wasn't some of his figures were on sale at BBTS & Entertainment Earth a couple of months ago?? I love the THUNDERCATS and some of his figure lines like Silverhawk, G.I. Joe but to do this is ludicrous. this might not be a good starting point or good year for Super7 if they go down this route.
I'm in for Snarfer and QuickPick. I'm on the fence about Dreammaster Mumm-Ra and young Lion-O. Dreammaster looks awesome, but do I really need another Mumm-Ra? I'm kind of disappointed there wasn't a Lunatak in this wave or even a berserker. I don't really like the fact they did two small figures here; it feels like you are getting less value. On top of that there is the re-used mold(s) and parts. It will be interesting how much farther the line goes as most of the main characters are done or announced. If they could finish the Lunataks and maybe Berserkers; that would be good for me.
Yeah, I would definitely stay away from that $75 redundant Mumm-Ra. Not just because of the price (and what other completely unique things you could get with that money), but the space it'll take up. It would kinda cancel out each Mumm-Ra and make them a little less special. Like if you also had the LJN inspired one, do you really wanna army build a non-army building character?
I do know us hardcore ThunderCats fans are so thirsty for _any_ action figure merchandise. So no wonder some of us are getting these variant figures that normally we would have zero interest in. I'm still in almost disbelief that we actually got figures beyond that wave 1 of Mattel reissues. If you remember how incredibly long the delay was to finally get a couple brand new sculpts. So yeah, I'm pretty amazed the line has gotten to the point where we got a Mongor...but I'm standing firm with not paying retail for figures like the three Reptilians, Mandora, and Willa.
I agree with what you are saying about sometimes more of something lessens the display. It's one of the reasons that I passed on the reptilian 3 pack. I was trying to picture how I would display them and the more I thought about it, the more I thought that displaying them with Slythe would actually take away from Slythe and I'd rather have him grouped with the other mutants.
If Super7 is smart they will re-release figures from previous waves. Often new fans don't bother with a collection if they can't get previously released figures. All Super7 has to do is make sure the plastic and paint quality is high and that the prices are low. $55 is too much for these figures.
I feel this is a weak wave imo. First off you have the cost of these at 55 bucks and you want the line to keep going but there are constant repaints. I'm all in for secondary characters like Quick Pick because you fill out the "universe" and I'm a collector who gets one of every character in order to do just that. But when there are so many left in the universe both done by LJN and then ones that didn't make it into the vintage line, I think it's a fail. So long story short I'll pick up Quick Pick and MAYBE Snarfer but that's it.
Always hesitant to comment bc people now can’t have an opinion. But to me this is another ??? Give us what we want; Lunataks and Berserkers. Pepper them in at least.
The blatant re-use and use of very small characters should have been spread out among several waves. Would that mean smaller profits for Super7 right now? Yes, but they should tolerate that sometimes because customers feeling ripped off tend to spend even less money. If Super7 wants more money then it needs to provide value and perceived value to the customers.

Never bought any super 7 ,not into thundercats ,so i guess its not worth it to me .
If Super7 is going to play the game of producing fewer items and hoping FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) is going to motivate people to buy early and often them Super7 has another thing coming. There is no point in collecting any of it if no one can get a complete set. Besides, Super7's quality, distribution, and prices are not proper or correct. Super7 is too closely tied to Hasbro.

A young Lion-o could just be used as a background Thundercats character to create a Thundera village with ather cat like characters.

I didn't recall this dream master episode. But I don't think I'll buy this set.
This is a pass for me. I would like to someday see S7 put out some Ultimate Voltron pilots (I know I keep repeating this)
