Sure, I miss the power of the z900, but the way the r7 handles, the sound of the engine, the lower cost of maintenance and fuel and the fact that I can actually use all the power for more than 2seconds without risking my license made me fall in love with it. The R7 is the miata of motorcycle, and there is nothing wrong with that!
Got my 23’ intensity white edition almost a month ago and have already changed my own oil, adjusted my shift light, and adjusted the chain a bit, can’t wait to learn how to do more with it and also get my exhaust put in before the end of the year! 🤙🏻

Hard to say. I’ve only rode the R7 and now I’m on a ZX6R. I think the kawasakis feel better put together. The Yamaha feels kind of cheap. The zx4rr has better tech. But it’s slower.
Did you tune your ECU? I’m about to install mine, a friend told me it’s important to tune the ECU before placing the full exhaust and before exceeding 5500 rpm. Let me know 👏🏽

Brakes, forks, mapping, and parts of the chasis are different. Ninja 650 is a "faired" naked (Z650), R7 is an UPGREADED faired MT07 so buyaaaa motherlovers!!
@@250ignacio the bikes feel very different to me. Chassis on the r6 is much more stout. The r6 feels way more precise in the corners too in my opinion. The R7 in corners to me doesn’t feel as planted.

I used to ride 1000s and 600s and idk why but I’m obsessed with the R7 😂

I did with 2WDW. It’s night and day better. Bike has a lot more punch. And I could tell it wasn’t running right before the tune.
Mine came from factory with the same akrapovic. Do i still have to ecu tune it do you think?

It’s a parallel twin. Crossplane refers to the 270 stroke of pistons. That’s what gives this bike its unique sound

Just basically a sound reducer in the tip of the exhaust. Just one bolt and pull it out with pliers. And makes it louder. And also looks better 🍻

I believe the slip-on keeps the CAT. Full system is headers too. And removed the CAT
You can’t do just a slip on basically. The end pipe is not removable from the catalytic converter and would not make a difference to the sound.

No cat. The race full system deletes the cat

Not drastically different. A touch quieter. But just looks so much better without the baffle in my opinion
