I’m with DaddyM on this one. He’s joyful 365, and doesn’t need a holiday to act differently. Same with Kobe. He’s certified pure goodness, even on his worst day, and doesn’t need a holiday to act better, or an elf to keep imaginary score. But I get that Sandy wants these traditions to be part of Kobe’s childhood memories like in the storybooks. Kobe could receive his gifts now, because he’s the type of child that everyone who wants children prays for. Love ya’ll. ❤

I always wondered about Elf on a Shelf! Thanks for sharing that Sandy. It's important to start traditions like these, for Kobe and the entire family to enjoy! My tradition here in the USA is to get to a play, or musical about the true story and beauty of Christmas 🎄 this year it was Snoopy on ice for fun 🧊absolutely wonderful 😊

I’ve noticed that too over the past year. Sandy is stern, and enforces rules and boundaries in the most loving, gentle and nurturing way. She’s giving Kobe all that he needs to grow well, and we see daily results.

I can’t believe I’m 66 years old & just about a month ago I heard about the elf on the shelf 😂😂. I to am like daddymopa I don’t like the holidays never had. I didn't grow up believing in Santa Claus. My dad nipped that in the bud very early in life so I have mixed feelings about the magic and holiday traditions. I logically understand why people play along but still not a fan with daddy Mopa on this topic.

I agree with you, Mopani. One of the reasons I loathe this time of the year is the fake happiness and cheerfulness people have this time of the year. Why dont theybhave it the rest of the time?
For most people, it's not fake. The season just gives them a reason to relax, take a step back and be happy. It's like saying treating yourself on your birthday is fake cz you didn't treat yourself like that all year long.

This is Kobe's Christmas, this is the one he will definitely remember. Dad is right he's happy most of the time all year. Making these memories for Kobe is whats important. DaddyMopa has a good point. All year long Daddy is joyous and exudes so much loud and boisterous happiness. So much so it's offend 'over the top'. However he is correct, he is NOT the Grinch. You can't be happy and a prude simultaneously--unless you change his title to the "Happy Grinch", lol. So My hat is off to his playfulness. Note: I love how Mommy takes the time to explain the instructions to Kobe and how he listens and understands her every word. That is a sign of good rearing. I wish that other children experience this kind of love from their parents and loved ones in their lives. Happy Holidays.

Yeaah i’m with daddy on this. I’m actually like that. Pumped up everyday but on Christmas and new year. I just can’t lol. For me it’s the most depressing week of the year. Plus I could never do the Santa thing while every kid my age was ecstatic. I saw him a « scam » very very very early on.

I believe that Daddy's favorite Christmas stories are (1) The Grinch,(2) Scrooge and (3) The Abominable Snow Man all who needed a change of heart. I never told my children that there was a Santa Clause or the Elf on the Shelf. Therefore, i never had to explain to them that those stories are just myths. These stories will only last for a short period of time. The story of The Nativity will last forever and believe me Children understand and accept this as a matter of fact. Dad, there is hope for you and I hope that you will find it this Christmas. May Kobe be the little child whose innocents make your heart grow bigger, make you think of others before yourself a learn that others need not fear your coldness and bigger than life personality.Have a Merry Christmas.
