Honestly, I’m just thrilled to see a brand finally have unmagnetized, cat eye and velvet swatches on their site!! I don’t ever magnetize so I was super happy to see those pics on their site.
The pink and purple are my new favorite shades. I’m so obsessed with these, I got a 30 pound magnet recently and I’m so excited to use it with these 👀 I actually really like these subtle shades, I like bold magnetics too but these are way more my style. I love how these are so beautiful even without using a magnet!! So if I’m feeling lazy I can just paint like normal and it’ll still be so pretty
yess love those! and omg WHAT do you meannn a 30lb magnet lol?! i need to see this 🤣 and yeah totally get that too! i think they’re growing on me slowly, maybe if they were released a little earlier I would’ve liked them more as winter to spring transitional colors, but i think rn i’m wanting brighter pops of color already 🙈 but yes also love that these still look so soft even without magnetizing!
I love, love Lily. I think cashmere might be great with a jelly sandwich. If you think about nail art this week, you might try it. The ILNP formula is better than Cirque with the holo. The comparisons show I don’t need the pink, or teddy as I have BAE and Lyra.
Lily is sooo pretty!! and hm yeah maybe i could try that with Cashmere, i figured i might like it more in some nail art 🤔 yeah i definitely love ILNP’s magnetic formula more than Cirques. i’m glad you already have BAE and Lyra though, those are pretty 🤩
I guess it’s great for people like me who don’t love a strong magnetic effect. This is the first magnetic collection I’ve been drawn to. Love that muted colors!
Yay! I am glad ILNP sent you these❤ Cashmere, Pink Suede, Velour (velvet) (😮💨), Teddy, Velveteen(😮💨) I looove the skittle mani!💕 You described the collection well-earthy spring vibes. I really like this collection! Thank you so much for the beautiful swatches and comparisons❤ You looked so lovely- the lace top was pretty!
so glad you’re loving these, esp the skittle!! 🥰 and yeah while i’m kind of wanting some brighter colors, these are still beautiful earthy spring shades for sure! i also love the sparkle hehe ✨ thank you as always for being so sweet & for watching and commenting too! appreciate you so much 🤗🫶🏼
I absolutely love the colors! Give me the colors and throw mud in them and I'll always be happy. Love the look of them velvetized too! But I'll probably hold off just with how time consuming magnetics tend to be. But that green, I love it.
lmao i love this!! i’m so glad you’re loving these shades though. yeah i figured people might be feeling magnetic fatigue lol but at least these are pretty unique color wise, so they’d be worth getting i think! 😝
The skittle is stunning ing. I love you added this new way to appreciate the polishes so we can see how cohesive the collections us. Like always you excel in your videos. 👌🏼
It’s a pretty collection, but I think I would only get one or two shades…the purple is probably my fav, and I don’t have anything like it. The cat eye effect really didn’t do much for me, but the velvet effect was super fun. Great review & comparison as always Stefanie!
yess the purple I think is my top fav too! I think that one actually had the best velvet look too. but yeah these with the cat eye def are very subtle! thank you so much for watching Le’ana 🤗💜
I think this collection is really pretty! Props to ILNP for that. However, in the interest of being more selective about what polishes I buy, I am only going to get the purple, Lily. I have Cirque BAE and Halo and my friend has Menchie Cat Eye I could borrow. I wish one of the browns was swapped out for a blue. I honestly love when this happens: when I can appreciate a collection for being stunning, but I only end up wanting and buying 1 or 2 polishes.
Lily is sooo pretty!! you’re gonna love that addition to your collection. so happy you already have BAE and can easily borrow Menchie Cat Eye too ✨ and yesss omg i also would’ve loved a blue in here too 😩🩵 but yeah that’s definitely a win in my book where you can appreciate a whole collection without needing all of them 😁
@@PolishedYogi I don't mind the magnetics but you're a little bit boring for my taste. I really preferred last year's something sweet collection with those vibrant pastels.
I was waiting for a swatch video for this collection because I felt like I needed to see these polishes in action before buying any of them. Thank you so much for the great swatches!
The way I do velvet is to put my magnets on either sides of my thumb/finger on a putty tin (or one of those metal plates they give you to stick on the back of your phone for those magnetic car phone mounts). That way I don't have to move it around.
These are just my cup of tea!! I’ve been wanting to get sandbar as my first ilnp polish and now I’m glad I waited to order so I can get a few of these as well. Sheer jellyish sparkle heaven.
thanks for getting this up so fast and with thorough comparisons! ❤️ A lot of the Cirques are definitely v similar. i too was surprised by this collection. I was expecting more speckled pastels from them and a change-up is definitely welcome! Interesting though that these ones seem specifically made for the velvet style (that a cat's eye looks sheer/bland...and looks more Cirque than ILNP). i LIKE the idea of pastel spring magnetics? But the two brownish shades blend tgt for me. Desaturated velvet is also odd to me where usually velvet fabric comes in rich dark jewel tones (and provide greater contrast to the shine). I think a soft desaturated spring palette *can* work with a cottagecore vibe and maybe a (speckle?) creme finish. The pinks and brown in this collection might work as nude-magnetics for the subtlety-lovers? But the green and purple imo look..lifeless. I'm imagining a brighter pastel mint green and periwinkle, maybe florals-themed, with sparkle and shimmer similar to the Enchantment shade. Like you, i'm also struggling to specify exactly why i'm not that hyped about this collection. Overcast collection was also not saturated but i LOVE that one a lot more... I'm thinking that magnetics is a FANCY glittery finish, and pairing them with pale unsaturated colours (and all at the exact same tone/value of boring neither-dark-nor-light) is just a mismatch? Like the glitz-glamour and soft-cottagecore cancel each other out and ends up meh? Or maybe this might work better for fall transiting into winter? 🤔
of course! happy to start monday morning with a new collection review hehe & so glad you enjoyed me trying to magnetizing styles too! ✨ omg yeah, i also do appreciate the step away from speckled polishes for spring too! and yeah i also loved the idea that these were specifically made to be worn with the velvet style since thats my preferred way of wearing magnetics haha seemed like it would be an easy win for this collection 😅 but i kinda felt the same about the browns, they’re nice but not what i expected for a spring lineup.. and YES the darker jewel tone colors really do give the best contrast for that plush velvet look! I did like the few inspo shots they included in their moodboard that featured velvet fabrics in these matching colors, but yeah these just ended up looking sparkly and not velvety for me at least ahh the pastel mint and lavender you suggested sound magical!! Enchantment is one of my favs bc of all that sparkle so i would LOVE to see more shades like that one. i totally agree with what you said about the mismatch, but now that I think about it the super muted color palette actually does lend itself to being a winter to spring transitional kind of collection, so maybe that’s what they were going for esp as the first spring release? 🤔
Ahh 'winter to spring' does make sense! But i 100% agree with you that it looks more sparkle-shimmer than true velvet. I think with a denser/stronger magnet particle (and perhaps not all silver, and remove one of the brown shades..and tbh Cashmere might as well just be a clear magnetic topper), i can see the vision of half-frozen dewdrops beginning to thaw. On a 2nd look, i think the nuances of colors are so important. I normally love a sage green, but this one is a little dull/warm/yellow/dirty-looking for spring. The purple too - the muted lavender of Overcast's Pitter-Patter was lovely, but this one felt marred by a dark warm grey undertone. that said - i'm definitely glad they're innovating and breaking away from the constant speckled pastels! 😆
Huge miss for me unfortunately, but thank you so much for the beautiful swatches, especially for showing them with the velvet effect. I always prefer their ~mixed finish~ collections for the seasons, so I'm excited for the 2nd spring release from ILNP.
aw i was gonna say sorry to hear you didn’t love these but it’s a win because you’re saving money lol! yeah definitely always love seeing their mixed finish collections too, I can’t wait to see those 🤩 but thank you so much for watching, i’m glad you at least enjoyed my swatches!! 🤗
Thank you for reviewing these! I’m a huge ILNP fan, but these aren’t my favorite as Spring colors don’t usually spark my interest. With that said, I may still pick a couple up at a later date as I adore magnetics. I think velveteen and also the pink one are my favorites.
of course!! and aw yeah I feel like I’ve heard a lot of people say while they love ILNP, they don’t usually love their spring releases. they do tend to lean into the soft, muted pastels which i know aren’t for everyone! i’m glad you liked Pink Suede & Velveteen though, they’re soo pretty 🎀🧸✨
Thanks for providing the unmagnetized swatches. I don’t own any magnetic polishes, so not sure I’m into that, but I love sage green. Thinking about that one for Black Friday. As always, great job. ❤
of course! ILNP has some on their website too, but i know other brands don’t do that (yet).. i’m glad you’re loving the green though, its nice for spring 🌿 thanks again!! 🤗
These are stunning and your swatches and analysis are so thoughtful and thorough. I like the fact that they don’t “have” to be magnetized. I love the colours for me, for spring and for all the seasons.
yeah same! a lot of my magnetic polishes are super dark lol i am open to wanting lighter ones but these just didn’t hit the mark for me 🙈 def agree they’re still pretty straight out of the bottle though, so glad you lovee Velveteen and Velour! & thanks so much for watching 🤗
hm maybe its the lighting or your screen? i think Lily is picking up very cool toned on my screens ! but ahh yeah i forgot to try that technique too, maybe next time 🙈
I absolutely adore this whole collection! 😍 I think my favs are pink suede, lily, and velveteen. I do t think I would wear them in the cat eye though. My fav is when they are velvetized! 💖💫
I love the sage green shade in this release! I think it looks especially good with the velvet effect. Aside from that, I don't feel drawn to any of the others.
i’m glad you like these! :) and oh yayy thank you for using my code for your first order! 🥹 what are you going to be getting?! i’m excited to share their jellies this weekend 😁😍
@PolishedYogi np! I stocked up on jellies since they're my favorite finish and I want to do more nail art! I got linen, georgette, lavender sky, morningtide, and jade (saw a beautiful pastel gradient with the last three + citron the other day that I'm dying to recreate). I really want to try some of their shimmers/magnetics but will probably wait on a sale for those 😁
Excited about these! I still dont have any ILNP's despite that string of entire collections they did that I wanted all of for a while. And now this one! I have BAE but I think I might like this pink more. Just wish the green was more of a blue leaning soft green personally. Teddy is also beautiful, I love a cooler toned neutral.
so glad you’re loving these shades!! hopefully you can add some of them to your collection soon enough hehe ILNP really has some beautiful polishes that are so worth having!! and yeah I think I might like Pink Suede a but more too, its a really beautiful and soft shade of pink 🎀 ooh yeah i could see a blue leaning green looking soo pretty, but that also would. remind me of Mooncat’s Devil’s Ivy too 😅 totally agree about Teddy though! 🧸
Thanks for the review and to ilnp foe sending them. My personal preference is that i dont like dusty colors. That is why i loved their something sweet collection of neonish bright pastels.
yeah i had that thought too! i wish maybe instead of Cashmere we had gotten a pretty soft blue 🩵 totally get you on not jumping to buy anything though, i feel like there’s a lot launching this weekend 🙈
I this is a great colour story and has perfect Spring vibes, but for me personally, if I'm going to buy a magnetic polish, I'm going to want to see a really sharp contrast in colour between the base pigment and the magnetic pigment. If I'm going to the effort of pulling that magnet out it isn't allowed to be for a subtle look, lol. But they are absolutely very very pretty. 💜
Rewatching this video I have some comments to add: *Did you have any comparisons for Velveteen? *I have BAE and now I’m breaking my head thinking if I should to get Suede. It’s soo cute with those delicated sparkles ✨ plus Cashmare, Lily, Velour and Velveteen are on my list because tha skittle was STUNNING! *My jaw still dropping for Clayvoyant. I’m dancing to the rain wishing cirque brings this shade back 🥹 ILNP, thanks for sending PR to Stephanie. Her reviews make a difference in the nail community. Good Job!!! I’ll be waiting for more reviews because I love gir brand so so much ❤️
no sadly i dont have anything quite like Velveteen to compare it too, any darker brown magnetics like Holo Taco’s Fairy Tail is much darker and warmer looking for example! hmm if you already have BAE i think it might be worth trying a dainty holo topper over it to mimic the flakies in Pink Suede! but yeah the others are definitely super cute together especially so it makes sense to want to just add Pink suede too hehe. i knoww I definitely hope they’ll consider bringing back Clairvoyant!! it’s absolutely magical 💜 and aw you’re too sweet!! i’m so glad you enjoy my reviews and comparisons so much
For the cat eye effect, I like magnetizing every coat, but not because I think magnetizing every coat gives me a stronger finished effect, but because if I don’t cover an earlier coat perfectly, you’ll see that little bit of unmagnetized polish around the edge and that can ruin the look of a good manicure for me. However, I only do the magnet for a second or two on initial coats since my goal is just to move the pigment and not to lock in the effect. That way it isn’t too tedious to do.
omg yes that part too!! it reminds me of when you have a white base and do a gradient on top, but see white around the edges lol i hate it 🤣 but oh okay that’s actually so smart to only do it for a few seconds, i might have to try it that way next time!
My thoughts are confused on this one. The colors are pretty, but I really only loved them as a skittle. The shimmer is kind of feminine, but in a dainty little old lady kind of way- not saying that is a bad thing, just not sure if it’s for me. Maybe. Definitely agree with other commenters that there are too many neutrals and a blue was missing.
i get what you mean! they do look cute as a skittle but i’d only wear a handful of them on their own. and LOL yeah I can kinda see that too 🤣 i do appreciate them trying to give us a different style of magnetics, but these didn’t totally wow me, hopefully they’ll release some brighter ones at some point!
These are really pretty! But I do with they had just a little more punch somehow. Kind of like mooncat’s Velvet Rose? Maybe since the colors are so light and the magnetic pigments are silver it’s a little too subtle for me? But still super pretty and I’m more than ready to see spring starting to come in!
yeah same! its so weird bc Velvet Rose isn’t that much different than Pink Suede, just a touch darker but maybe that alone helps so much with giving it more contrast against the silver sparkle - i compared them on my IG stories yesterday if you missed it! but yeah i think i feel the same about just wanting some brighter colors already 🙈
You're not wrong, Velveteen is definitely cool-toned. I'm not sure about this collection. I might just pick up the full Overcast (my favorite weather!) collection instead.
ok thank you!! 🙈 I was like, maybee this is warm just from the first coat haha but not when its built up! and ooh yes definitely can’t recommend Overcast enough 🤩
Love seeing your thoughts and comparisons. I'm definitely in agreement with you on the lukewarm feeling - love ILNP but nothing here strikes me, as I'm not a huge pastel/muted or magnetic fan. Also I'm def one of those people who is over magnetics in general. I started doing a magnetic mani last week and after one nail decided it wasn't worth the hassle lol. Unless it's a color I'd wear unmagnetized, I'm probably going to avoid buying more in the future.
aw i’m glad i’m not alone with feeling that way! 😅 i usually am a fan of pastel and muted colors but i guess this year i’m craving brighter pops of color for spring! and agh yeah they really can be soo time consuming!! 😫 i think having one or two accent nails is a fun way to incorporate them without killing soo much time though!
I always have to magnetize each coat to get good effect. No matter the brand. Even then doesn't last in concentrated way long. I almost always do cats eye style. But I also usually wear rich deep or dark colors . With these they look so pretty with velvet effect. I think the skittle of these with that effect looks so Easter/spring. Like eggs in a basket.
have you tried using a neodymium magnet? I know those are stronger than the usual magnets brands offer, so maybe that could help make your cat eye last longer? it does suck they diffuse either way compared to gel magnetics :( and aw i love that you said these velvety pastels look like eggs in a basket, I can totally see that!! 🥹🐣
Thank you for the swatches as always! Hmmm they’re pretty, but I think I’ll pass… I agree that the other ILNP magnetics I’ve seen have been more BAM POW full of depth, and I think I just prefer that! I do appreciate that they’re still doing magnetics, though, as I love them despite their polarized popularity 😂
of course, appreciate you watching & commenting! 🤗 and haha so glad you feel the same way too about their magnetics, they’ve given us such standouts before! but i guess i can appreciate the subtle beauty of these ✨ and LOL yeah i def would hate to see brands move away from magnetics, they’re so cool!!
Honestly I am so excited for these. Im preordering these right now!!! It's so funny I have every polish you used in your comparisons. 😂😂. I have a slight nail polish addiction. Hello my name is Shannon. It's been 1 day since I painted my nails. And 3 days since I bought nail polish. 😂😂
Velveteen sure looks like a cool toned brown to me as well, not warm at all. These are ok, not very exciting to me. My wallet is happy though. Thanks for the swatches!
it’s such a nice spring green! and aw yeah I know the velvet effect can take some trial and error, but I think it works well with ILNP polishes because they’re in a more jelly kind of base - other brands that are more opaque like Holo Taco are harder to get a nice effect without it looking flat. I think it also helps having a darker base color so there’s more contrast, if you watch my Fav Magnetics video you’ll see the difference! I hope you don’t give up on them 🥹
i got excited from the pastel magnetic title as well, but unfortunately i'm not really feeling this color palette either. i agree that velveteen seems more of a cool toned brown and fawn from ilnp i would say is their warm toned brown magnetic. caitlin swatches did a video showcasing clionadh's chroma slicks which are also pastel magnetics if you were trying to find an alternative and they have fun flakies in the background that show up after a cat eye effect. i'm currently waiting for the couple colors that i picked up personally so i can't say how i like using them myself yet, but i thought they looked really pretty in the video!
yeah its not quite what i had in mind.. but i do like how soft/romantic these feel at least 😅 and yess that’s what i was thinking too, fawn is warm toned and velveteen is nothing like it 🤣 ah yes i’ve heard of clionadh putting out some pastel magnetics, i usually watch Caitlin’s videos but i missed that one so i’ll have to check it out!! which ones did you grab? i hope you’ll like them! 🤩
@@PolishedYogi i only got multiverse and portal from that collection because this will be my first order from clionadh (shipping costs from outside the U.S. always stopped me before). and i wanted to be more cautious in trying a magnetic formula from a new to me brand. but yes, i'm really hoping i like them and the couple other things i picked out (a single polish from their advent calendar that i really loved but didn't want to buy the whole calendar for and a multichrome eyeshadow for my sister's birthday 🙂) to justify the higher than normal shipping cost to myself lol!
Thanks for the swatches. I really tried to like these. ILNP is one of my favorite brands but overall I was disappointed in this collection- I generally don’t like silver - and this had it in the magnetic shimmer and holo for all of them. I could live with the base colors on pink and lilac but only after they were magnetized. I think most of us have those basics. Also I was bummed that all were magnetics. Too much work. 😢 like I said I love ilnp and it won’t deter me from my huge ILNP wishlist but sadly none of these will be addd. I hope we get some non-silver based cooler more vibrant colors in the next round.
of course, so glad you found them helpful! and aw i do hate when that happens, you want to love a collection but it’s just not doing it for you 😔 yeah hopefully they’ll give us some brighter and warmer magnetics soon enough!
I think the light purple one is really pretty. But do I truly care about a silver magnetic line? Not so much. I love the way you do velvet nails! I don't think I tried that technique with any of my magnetics yet. And I do love them, but I am also used to more stuff in them.
@@PolishedYogieventually 🤩 I am painting my nails right now but not with a magnetic and with a truly wintry polish - we're having quite a storm with freezing driving rain!!! 🥶
you’re so sweet!! it’s so weird to think of how many times i’ve gotten that before, i couldn’t really see it but now i kind of do 🙈 and yeah the neutrals are nice! but not super exciting where you NEED them right away
I love the collection on first sight, but that could change once seen on my own tan olive skin tone lol I love the muted spring colors, which makes me think of the french Versailles ceiling paintings. Velveteen reminds me of the 1980s live action movie The Velveteen Rabbit even though it kinds leans purple when i look at it but if you see the vhs cover you might get it 😅 probably just me. I would like to see Pink Suede compared to Mooncats Velvet Rose.
yess there’s a beautifully soft, romantic feel to these muted spring shades! i hope you’re able to find some swatches on a skin tone similar to yours though, make sure you check ILNP’s tagged photos on instagram just to see who’s received/posted these so far! omg i can def see that similarity with Velveteen and The Velveteen Rabbit vhs cover, i wonder if that’s what they were inspired by maybe?? and i actually shared a Velvet Rose comp on my IG stories yesterday, just DM me if you missed it!
@PolishedYogi Yes I e seen the website, but I found there's something about the lighting that's off from when i receive it personally, and they only put one picture in one lighting for the other skin tones. I will DM you 😃
If anyone wants a bolder magnetic cat eye effect for these shades, just wear a black cream underneath and it’ll really pop. This is what I do with ILNP’s Amber shade. Now I’m someone who has never tried the velvet effect yet and feel like I would mess it up on my dominant hand; has anyone ever tried it with the KBShimmer magnetic stand?
ooo layering these over black would be interesting !! 🤔 i don’t have that magnet stand but if you have 3 magnetic wands, i’ve seen people arrange them in a U shape so you can easily do velvet nails! if you look it up on reddit you’ll be able to see what I’m talking about :)
I have magnetics, but not from ILNP and haven't done the velvet effect even though I really love the look of it! These make me want to try it out cus I already know that magnetics are time consuming and I already take about 4 hrs to do my nails (prep and painting without nail art). 🥺
ohh ILNP is great for velvet nails!! so they’d generally be pretty easy to do, but yeah still time consuming for sure. would you try doing one or two magnetic accent nails instead of a full manicure? it might be hard matching colors exactly but it would definitely be a cute look to try!
Nice collection, but it seems for a spring collection the colors seem muted. I do appreciate the comparisons! I have some similar shades and don’t really want to buy a new polish only to find I have one almost exactly the same color!
i couldn’t agree more! i think the muted colors lend themselves well to a winter-spring transitional collection, so i guess they’re perfect for right now but i’m just craving brighter colors already 😝 i’m glad you found the comparisons helpful though! 🤗
The colors are really pretty but I don't think I would wear them just because if I'm going through the effort of magnetizing them, I want them to have a more noticeable effect 🤷♀
They are gorgeous but i also don’t feel super cray about them 😅 reminds me too much to cirques magnetics and i have some already so can safely say i pass 😊 thanks for the review Stefanie ❤
I love magnetic nail polish and I love the velvet effect. The theme for this collection is a great idea, but the color selection is not that great. For me, to consider this a spring collection, it should include pastel blue, pastel pink, pastel purple, pastel green (not sage green), and pastel yellow. Oh well, it is what it is. I think I will just get 3-4 of them instead of the entire collection, but I wanted a spring pastel velvet skittle mani so bad! Dang, what a missed opportunity for ILNP.
ugh yess I would’ve love a light blue in this lineup!! and yeah glad you feel the same about these colors not really hitting the mark for you as well. I feel like they were so close!! 😩 which 3-4 did you like the most?
Okay, I now feel good about skipping this collection. I do think it's interesting that a brand is focusing their promotion around the velvet effect for once, BUT I am trying to pass on all magnetics for the time being because I'm a little burned out on them and these don't particularly call out to me anyway. I really want ILNP to release shimmers for their 2nd spring collection tho 🤞
yess i really do love the velvet focus with these! but totally understand wanting to skip magnetics for now. and ahh i hopee we get more shimmers for their second spring release too!! 🤩🤩
I’m a little underwhelmed, I wanted them to be better. I feel like they could have used twice as much magnetic shimmer-at least then the velvet effect would have been a lot more dimensional. As they are they’re kind of sparse looking.
yeah i think only Lily and maybe Velveteen had the best velvet look, idk what was going on with the other swatches but i feel like i was struggling to get a super plush look 😓
Cute collection, but a full mag collection is something Im not interested in since every mani takes a long time to do, and with 6, mag-colours, you wont want to switch them every day or two.
ILNP has been disappointing me recently and it makes me so sad :( I get bored of basic glitters & cremes really easily (literally the only creme in my collection is a one coat black which i only have to use under toppers lmao) & it seems like that's all ILNP has been releasing recently
i mean i definitely appreciate having options since one neutral isn’t enough for every skin/undertone out there, but yeah I also wouldn’t have minded if we got some in a separate collection lol
yeah I think these are super muted, so they do work great as a winter to spring transitional kind of collection, but I think a lot of us are already wanting brighter spring colors lol 🙈
i learned it was apparently made with a softer look in mind, to give a more plush velvety feel.. so at least it was intentional, but yeah i would have loved to see more contrast 😅 glad you like the colors though!
Honestly, I’m just thrilled to see a brand finally have unmagnetized, cat eye and velvet swatches on their site!! I don’t ever magnetize so I was super happy to see those pics on their site.
omg yes!! def kudos to them for doing that 🙌🏼
I also know that magnetic don’t stay magnetic forever and we don’t all magnetize every nail.
We were waiting for this review on Reddit, lol! 😆
omg yay!! lmao i’m usually just lurking on reddit but i def missed that, hope this satisfies! 😝
Wait wait wait wait wait...tell us more about this 30lb magnet!
yess love those! and omg WHAT do you meannn a 30lb magnet lol?! i need to see this 🤣 and yeah totally get that too! i think they’re growing on me slowly, maybe if they were released a little earlier I would’ve liked them more as winter to spring transitional colors, but i think rn i’m wanting brighter pops of color already 🙈 but yes also love that these still look so soft even without magnetizing!
Love that muted colors!
yes definitely perfect for anyone who wants a more subtle but still sparkly look! the muted colors are so soft and pretty for spring 🌷✨
Thanks for always doing such great comparisons at the end of your vids, Stef!!
aw thank you Samantha!! 🥰
Yay! I am glad ILNP sent you these❤
Cashmere, Pink Suede, Velour (velvet) (😮💨), Teddy, Velveteen(😮💨)
I looove the skittle mani!💕
You described the collection well-earthy spring vibes. I really like this collection!
Thank you so much for the beautiful swatches and comparisons❤
You looked so lovely- the lace top was pretty!
so glad you’re loving these, esp the skittle!! 🥰 and yeah while i’m kind of wanting some brighter colors, these are still beautiful earthy spring shades for sure! i also love the sparkle hehe ✨
thank you as always for being so sweet & for watching and commenting too! appreciate you so much 🤗🫶🏼
The velvet effect is gorgeous on all of them!
they really are! i love velvet nails!
thank you soo much Ana!! i truly appreciate that 🤗🤗
It’s a pretty collection, but I think I would only get one or two shades…the purple is probably my fav, and I don’t have anything like it.
Wow velveteen is so beautiful! Velour also stood out to me
isn’t it such a cozy color?! ✨
Lily is sooo pretty!! you’re gonna love that addition to your collection. so happy you already have BAE and can easily borrow Menchie Cat Eye too ✨ and yesss omg i also would’ve loved a blue in here too 😩🩵 but yeah that’s definitely a win in my book where you can appreciate a whole collection without needing all of them 😁
Oh boy! Here comes the review I was looking for!
yayy hehe hwat did you think of these?!
@@PolishedYogi I don't mind the magnetics but you're a little bit boring for my taste. I really preferred last year's something sweet collection with those vibrant pastels.
The colors are gorgeous and I like them best velvetized. Personally I prefer more profound colors for a cat eye effect. Thank you Stefanie!
yesss totally agree with everything you said! ✨ thank you for watching!!
I was waiting for a swatch video for this collection because I felt like I needed to see these polishes in action before buying any of them. Thank you so much for the great swatches!
aw thank you so much for watching! i’m glad you enjoyed 🤗
The way I do velvet is to put my magnets on either sides of my thumb/finger on a putty tin (or one of those metal plates they give you to stick on the back of your phone for those magnetic car phone mounts). That way I don't have to move it around.
oh love that!!
If i decide to get these, I'm definitely using a blurring base coat since I'm not the biggest fan of seeing my nail line.
thats def a smart move!! 🙌🏼
These are just my cup of tea!! I’ve been wanting to get sandbar as my first ilnp polish and now I’m glad I waited to order so I can get a few of these as well. Sheer jellyish sparkle heaven.
ooh yay so glad you’re absolutely loving these!!
thanks for getting this up so fast and with thorough comparisons!
Oh and thanks also for showing us the experimental setups for velvet effect! ✨✨✨ that was v helpful ❤️
of course! happy to start monday morning with a new collection review hehe & so glad you enjoyed me trying to magnetizing styles too! ✨
omg yeah, i also do appreciate the step away from speckled polishes for spring too! and yeah i also loved the idea that these were specifically made to be worn with the velvet style since thats my preferred way of wearing magnetics haha seemed like it would be an easy win for this collection 😅 but i kinda felt the same about the browns, they’re nice but not what i expected for a spring lineup.. and YES the darker jewel tone colors really do give the best contrast for that plush velvet look! I did like the few inspo shots they included in their moodboard that featured velvet fabrics in these matching colors, but yeah these just ended up looking sparkly and not velvety for me at least
ahh the pastel mint and lavender you suggested sound magical!!
Aahhh yes!!!! So happy for this review so early!! Thank you!!
what better way to start Monday morning hehe thank you for watching!! 🌟
I love the colours for me, for spring and for all the seasons.
thank you so much, that really means a lot!! 🥰 and so glad to hear you’re loving these colors too! ✨
I really love these polishes, especially in skittle! Great vid showcasing the polishes :) Also your hair looks so healthy and fluffy!
so glad you’re loving them as a skittle, they def are super cute together! and aww thanks so much, i literally had just cut it lol 🥰
I prefer magnetics in the fall & winter shades. These are very pretty unmagnetized though. I esp like Velveteen and Velour. Thanks Stefanie!
yeah same! a lot of my magnetic polishes are super dark lol i am open to wanting lighter ones but these just didn’t hit the mark for me 🙈 def agree they’re still pretty straight out of the bottle though, so glad you lovee Velveteen and Velour! & thanks so much for watching 🤗
Loved seeing your swatches of these, Stefanie!!! I love how the velvet effect looks on you. You make it look so velvety!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Aw thanks so much Brandi!! 🥰🥰✨✨
they are SO pretty with the velvet effect!! love the way you magnetize the velvet
so glad you like my velvet method! i find it works soo well with ILNP magnetics especially 🤩
Ooooo - Lily looks much warmer than pictured! You should do the one where you tape down the magnets into that U shape for velvet technique!
hm maybe its the lighting or your screen? i think Lily is picking up very cool toned on my screens ! but ahh yeah i forgot to try that technique too, maybe next time 🙈
I absolutely adore this whole collection! 😍 I think my favs are pink suede, lily, and velveteen. I do t think I would wear them in the cat eye though. My fav is when they are velvetized! 💖💫
so glad you’re loving this set Janet! those 3 are my favs too, with the green closely behind hehe. and yess they def shine with the velvet effect 🤩🤩
I love the sage green shade in this release! I think it looks especially good with the velvet effect. Aside from that, I don't feel drawn to any of the others.
yeah the green is really nice! 🌿
PS: I wish they’d done a robin’s egg blue in this formula!
yess would’ve loved that!
I have BAE from Cirque, so I really appreciated your comparison swatch. Thanks!
yay so glad it was helpful! 💖
ooh, these are pretty! I can definitely wait on them though. but I will be making my first cirque order today - I'll be sure to use your code. TFS!
i’m glad you like these!
That is why i loved their something sweet collection of neonish bright pastels.
oh yeah i definitely love some bright pastels too! hopefully we’ll like their second spring release more hehe. thank you for watching!! 🤗
I think 3 neutrals is a lot. The pink and the lavender are pretty, but I don't feel like rushing out to buy.
yeah i had that thought too! i wish maybe instead of Cashmere we had gotten a pretty soft blue 🩵 totally get you on not jumping to buy anything though, i feel like there’s a lot launching this weekend 🙈
Very pretty collection for spring
glad you’re loving them!
such great points!! magnetics are tedious so its a lot of work just for a subtle end result.. but yeah they’re still pretty lol! 🌷
Rewatching this video I have some comments to add:
*Did you have any comparisons for Velveteen?
*I have BAE and now I’m breaking my head thinking if I should to get Suede. It’s soo cute with those delicated sparkles ✨ plus Cashmare, Lily, Velour and Velveteen are on my list because tha skittle was STUNNING!
*My jaw still dropping for Clayvoyant. I’m dancing to the rain wishing cirque brings this shade back 🥹
ILNP, thanks for sending PR to Stephanie. Her reviews make a difference in the nail community. Good Job!!! I’ll be waiting for more reviews because I love gir brand so so much ❤️
no sadly i dont have anything quite like Velveteen to compare it too, any darker brown magnetics like Holo Taco’s Fairy Tail is much darker and warmer looking for example!
hmm if you already have BAE i think it might be worth trying a dainty holo topper over it to mimic the flakies in Pink Suede! but yeah the others are definitely super cute together especially so it makes sense to want to just add Pink suede too hehe.
i knoww I definitely hope they’ll consider bringing back Clairvoyant!! it’s absolutely magical 💜
and aw you’re too sweet!! i’m so glad you enjoy my reviews and comparisons so much
For the cat eye effect, I like magnetizing every coat, but not because I think magnetizing every coat gives me a stronger finished effect, but because if I don’t cover an earlier coat perfectly, you’ll see that little bit of unmagnetized polish around the edge and that can ruin the look of a good manicure for me.
Maybe. Definitely agree with other commenters that there are too many neutrals and a blue was missing.
i get what you mean! they do look cute as a skittle but i’d only wear a handful of them on their own. and LOL yeah I can kinda see that too 🤣 i do appreciate them trying to give us a different style of magnetics, but these didn’t totally wow me, hopefully they’ll release some brighter ones at some point!
we do need nude magnetics, for sure! Velveteen is superb! ❤
that’s true! there’s a lack of those. i’m glad you’re loving Velveteen! 🤩
I bought these and the new 30lb magnet. I can't wait.❤
So exciting!! You’re gonna love them 🤩✨
Love seeing your thoughts and comparisons.
I know those are stronger than the usual magnets brands offer, so maybe that could help make your cat eye last longer? it does suck they diffuse either way compared to gel magnetics :(
and aw i love that you said these velvety pastels look like eggs in a basket, I can totally see that!!
@@PolishedYogi well, you’ve got them so I’m sure you’ll find a use for them 👏! But yes, I’ll just wait for a punchy magnetic from ILNP to come out!
LOL heyy Shannon 👋🏻 so glad you’re loving these!! 😁 i often end up buying shades similar to what i already have too, so i get it 🤣
Velveteen looks like a taupe! I agree, they lack that "certain something" for me!
i can def see that! and yeah i do wish they had a little more oomph 😅
Velveteen sure looks like a cool toned brown to me as well, not warm at all.
These are ok, not very exciting to me. My wallet is happy though. Thanks for the swatches!
haha yes its always a win to save some money 😝 thanks so much for watching & commenting! 🤗
So pretty, love Velour. I'm pretty useless with the velvet effect, I never can see it.😢
it’s such a nice spring green! and aw yeah I know the velvet effect can take some trial and error, but I think it works well with ILNP polishes because they’re in a more jelly kind of base - other brands that are more opaque like Holo Taco are harder to get a nice effect without it looking flat. I think it also helps having a darker base color so there’s more contrast, if you watch my Fav Magnetics video you’ll see the difference! I hope you don’t give up on them 🥹
i got excited from the pastel magnetic title as well, but unfortunately i'm not really feeling this color palette either. i agree that velveteen seems more of a cool toned brown and fawn from ilnp i would say is their warm toned brown magnetic.
caitlin swatches did a video showcasing clionadh's chroma slicks which are also pastel magnetics if you were trying to find an alternative and they have fun flakies in the background that show up after a cat eye effect. i'm currently waiting for the couple colors that i picked up personally so i can't say how i like using them myself yet, but i thought they looked really pretty in the video!
yeah its not quite what i had in mind.. but i do like how soft/romantic these feel at least 😅 and yess that’s what i was thinking too, fawn is warm toned and velveteen is nothing like it 🤣
ah yes i’ve heard of clionadh putting out some pastel magnetics, i usually watch Caitlin’s videos but i missed that one so i’ll have to check it out!! which ones did you grab? i hope you’ll like them!
I love this collection and would get a few if I had room. I'm getting Pink Suede and my husband is getting something from another collection.
aw well at least you’ll be grabbing Pink Suede from this lineup, its pretty! 💖💖
i do like the colors, I have never tried ILNP
i’m glad you like them! ILNP is a great brand, their formulas are 👌🏼
Thanks for the swatches.
And I do love them, but I am also used to more stuff in them.
i hear ya! & ooh would be so fun if you tried my velvet technique 🤩
@@PolishedYogieventually 🤩
I am painting my nails right now but not with a magnetic and with a truly wintry polish - we're having quite a storm with freezing driving rain!!! 🥶
you're so pretty and look so much like Fiona Apple! i like the neutrals the best but not sure if I'll get them
you’re so sweet!! it’s so weird to think of how many times i’ve gotten that before, i couldn’t really see it but now i kind of do 🙈 and yeah the neutrals are nice! but not super exciting where you NEED them right away
omg it was the first thing I thought when I saw the thumbnail lol! @@PolishedYogi
I will DM you 😃
@@PolishedYogi wait I found it lol
@@PolishedYogi I do that with magnetics or do some sort of nail art situation where I don't have to magnetize all 10 nails! ☺️
I don’t know how I feel about this collection. If I get any, it will be Velveteen & Lily.
yeah not superrr enticing, but still pretty! Velveteen and Lily are so gorgeous!
Menchie Cat Eye from HoloTaco is still available…I don’t think it is retired.
thanks for letting me know! i still wanted to put the coffin emoji since its LE and won’t be restocked once its sold out :)
The colors are really pretty but I don't think I would wear them just because if I'm going through the effort of magnetizing them, I want them to have a more noticeable effect 🤷♀
yeah thats a great point!
They are gorgeous but i also don’t feel super cray about them 😅 reminds me too much to cirques magnetics and i have some already so can safely say i pass 😊 thanks for the review Stefanie ❤
yess totally feel that! 😅 yay for saving money though hehe but thank you for watching!! 💞
@@PolishedYogi Pink, purple, brown, and possibly sage green... :)
I appreciate the Spring collection.. it doesn't look anything like last years
that’s true! totally different feel to these which is nice
i love these velvetized but i just know i wouldn’t wear them even though i think they are so pretty
aw yeah i get that! maybe these are just polishes you can admire without needing to buy them 🙈
Okay, I now feel good about skipping this collection.
Velveteen was definitely more cool toned than the one that proceeded it.
i thought the same!
Are they watching your videos?! 😊
idk how often they do, but they have before which is cool to think about 😁
I'm definitely not over magnetics 😅 but I am over pastels
ahh i get that 🙈 what do you think of Velveteen? i feel like that one is the least “spring pastel” of these colors!
@@PolishedYogi I agree. It's ok. I'm not really a fan of neutral colors, but I like the holo and it looks beautiful in the velvet effect.
Cashmere is 90’s computer color 😟just yuck to me. Love your swatches though!
LOL omg i can’t unsee it nowww 🙈 i knew there was somethingg about the color that seemed unflattering to me haha. but so glad you liked my swatches! 💖
I'm super underwhelmed with this collection as I feel like they could all be closely duped with pastel jellies/cremes and a silver magnetic topper
aw yeah hopefully we’ll like their second spring collection more!
Cute collection, but a full mag collection is something Im not interested in since every mani takes a long time to do, and with 6, mag-colours, you wont want to switch them every day or two.
that definitely is a good point! 😅
ILNP has been disappointing me recently and it makes me so sad :( I get bored of basic glitters & cremes really easily (literally the only creme in my collection is a one coat black which i only have to use under toppers lmao) & it seems like that's all ILNP has been releasing recently
aw i’m sorry you haven’t been loving their recent collections, hopefully their second spring release will be more up your alley! 🤞🏼
Three neutrals seems excessive
i mean i definitely appreciate having options since one neutral isn’t enough for every skin/undertone out there, but yeah I also wouldn’t have minded if we got some in a separate collection lol
@@PolishedYogi yeah I wasn’t really thinking about matching skin tones, but just having more colorful options. Like a matching blue would be nice.
I agree they are pretty but also meh… not sure they jump out at me to buy.
yeah I think these are super muted, so they do work great as a winter to spring transitional kind of collection, but I think a lot of us are already wanting brighter spring colors lol 🙈
Yeah the magnetic effect is too soft. Pretty colors though.
i learned it was apparently made with a softer look in mind, to give a more plush velvety feel.. so at least it was intentional, but yeah i would have loved to see more contrast 😅 glad you like the colors though!
