- I came across huge bromeliads growing in the ground in Florida! Take a look! The bromeliad garden was a "grove" of bromeliad mother plants and their pups, or "daughter plants!"
Once a bromeliad flowers, it begins to decline or die. The mother plant guarantees its survival by birthing "pups" or "daughter plants" that can be separated from the mother plant once it is at least 8 inches tall and has sturdy roots.
If you don't live in a tropical climate, Bromeliad plants may be a strictly "indoor" plant for you. It's fascinating to see a "terrestrial" bromeliad growing from the ground outdoors!
Enjoy!

Is that the actual name of it, terrestrial? Can’t find them, where to find in Florida? I have a different variety, but I love the color of those!
I believe its a giant orange bromeliad' "Terrestrial" is a type of bromeliad which grows in the ground as opposed to epiphyte bromeliads that grow on tree trunks
@@EdenMakers thank you for the reply.. I will be searching for these!
