I can never tell how you are supposed to kill the enemy if these are the fights. In movies its like the enemy wants to die and run straight at eachother but yeah that is a movie not real life
@@unox12 There's different ways. Riflemen don't usually get too many chances to smoke bad guys--that's more of a machine gun thing. Almost all the rounds put out by infantry are either to gain and maintain fire superiority, or to maneuver, not so much to "kill" another infantry squad per se. Of course, suppression fire can be used to maneuver closer and make it easier for the soldiers to destroy the enemy in close combat, but in practice, it's safer and easier just to make the opfor crap their pants by outgunning them and dialing them in with things like crew served guns, mortars, ect. Those are the real man-eaters.
Also different squads and trained regiments of the army are tasked with different weapons equipment and operation so I’d say it really depends on where in the country you are deployed and what you are tasked to do
@@chaserodrigue7365 Well, I suppose this is true in the sense that all units are not equally capable--you wouldn't send part-timer minesweepers to execute a DA raid that an available 75th platoon would be more suited to. Weapon familiarization is standardized, though, as is basic fieldcraft, so that's not really the limiting factor. Everyone in one of these videos has at least an intellectual grasp of how to overrun and kill the enemy. They just won't, because that's not really how it works in practice regardless of what the manuals say. Aggressing 300-400m or more over open ground just to get close enough to take accurate shots is not worth the trouble when you can just have one of the MRAPs light them up, or send an aircraft to chase them down.

Unlike before most assault rifle rounds were 9mm - .45acp and later on bigger rounds such as 5.56 and 7.62 and now powerful HMGs are coming into play such as DSHK’s. Warfare then was terrifying, but even surviving a tank is possible. Now once a tank sees you, your dead. This is the same thing with air support. I’d go on more but I’m using my lame excuse of a phone which is broken as hell and is killing my brain cells just from typing this.
@@greenradiozone824 Bigger bullets and bombs aren't the only things to consider. Communications equipment was worse, navigation equipment was worse, uniforms and personal protection against weather, the environment, and weapons were worse, development of diseases and infections were worse, MUSTARD GAS, bad or nonexistent optics for guns and night time combat, unreliable air support (if any at all), transport for dead and wounded much worse, worse medical care/technology, and the list can go on. War has always been and will always be ugly hell, but I'd say these days you are at least more comfortable than previous warriors and have a lot more luxuries at your disposal than previous generations of frontline soldiers.

Lol. They don't know where the enemy is either. They're just popping off rounds at where they think they might've spotted them. Most firefights out in the open fields are like this. I don't know if you've ever played paintball, but the best way I can put it is that firefights are like playing paintball, except you're using real weapons and instead of a paintball field the distances are hundreds and hundreds to way over 1000 yards. At that range it's hard to see a human body, let alone a human body hiding most of their torso behind cover while they fire. Firefights are like lobbing bullets at long ranges at small sparkles or movement, similar to what it's like shooting a paintball 80ft at someone's foot sticking out. This is just an analogy, but I hope you get the picture. It's kinda cool at dawn or dusk where you can see muzzle flashes and tracers very well.
sillybilly121212 breh, go join the service, deploy, get engaged in combat, and then open your mouth again. It’s not all glamour like you think with all of your video games. These guys aren't even building a 1x1 let alone cranking 90°s no wonder they're pinned down. In all seriousness I thank everyone involved and hope they all made it home safe.
Gun play is really not as glamorous as video games or movies make out, this whole situation is long distance fire with the constant fear that a bullet could fly and hit you from any direction. The anticipation of that coming at you must be so stressful.
The only exception to that rule being urban warfare, if what happened in cities like Stalingrad, Berlin, Hue, and even Fallujah is considered proof of this.
Fuck yeah. This is terrifying. Even playing paintball knowing those things hurt can be a mild adrenaline dump. I can’t imagine having little death missiles flying past you and so much of your life or death being left up to luck. Even if you make all the right decisions, and make all the best choices, if you’re in the wrong spot at the wrong second, you could still be dead or maimed in the blink of an eye. Terrifying stuff.

UA-cam User now the weapons used today are more powerful than before. Unlike before most assault rifle rounds were 9mm - .45acp and later on bigger rounds such as 5.56 and 7.62 and now powerful HMGs are coming into play such as DSHK’s. How the hell they know where to aim.i can hear them bullets getting close

I don't think you know much about combat
Fuck yeah. This is terrifying. Even playing paintball knowing those things hurt can be a mild adrenaline dump.
