We love how easy the set up is. Works best on a a windy day. But, when the wind speed is low or erratic you should just use a beach umbrella. We love this new product.
The shibumi also acts erratic in low winds. We bought the solbello and are pleased of our choice. Solbello is the easiest to set up and pack up. No work to it.
Kerry, that is a great idea we had considered. We've found the no-wind days are very rare & so don't have that feature.. Maybe it'll be a future addition at some point and thanks for the suggestion!
I'm eating my words now.. our model shipping today includes that no wind solution. Likely rare to be used, but does address that no-wind situation. Thanks again for the encouragement!

Well depends on how far beyond the redline you screw it down and how far you tilt it into the direction of the wind. I'm currently at the beach with 2 up and haven't had a problem in 2 days. They're solid and not loud
This seemed like a good idea. We rented one at topsail beach this week. Unfortunately we wasted 75 dollars as its not working. It constantly just lays down leaving people (and items) totally exposed. It also doesn’t provide a big area of shade because it doesn’t blow outward. Unless u r on a really windy beach this doesnt work. Im shocked at the good reviews on the website. Mayb u got lucky at a windy beach??
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Please know that as of today (8/1/22), there's a "No-Wind" kit included for those rare no-wind, or when the wind is light and shifting. With the kit, you still get shade with no wind!
What do you mean it lays down? How many inches into the sand was it screwed in? I’m shocked you didn’t have enough wind at Topsail unless it was early morning.
I had same thinking but.....first trip with kids I was chasing umbrella when it was windy....also main peace of plastic unglued and it wouldn't hold umbrella... at the end... brought that umbrella back to Costco as I bought 4 post canopy at the time

I've been asking them for awhile if I can have a review unit but I've heard nothing. It's hard for me to justify the price it's HIGH

Sweeeet. I bet later versions will have a grommet in the two corners for tie downs in low and no wind situations.

Couldn’t you clip the back of the shade to the front of the second solbello frame?

how noisy is the flapping ? also your quoting 7 feet tall and your bending over to get under it , so are u losing the height when u put it in sand ?

Costco Tommy Bahama umbrella for $25 works perfect. Forget the other widgets.
