I live in Canberra, Australia, and just bought one of these (the mango colour) last week from Horizon Line Canoes in Sydney. I've used it twice so far but agree with everything Zack says. I upgraded from a Riot Quest 10ft rec kayak and the difference is amazing. Great American build quality. It's comfortable, very stable, tracks like an arrow and quite fast. According to the GPS I can average 6 kilometres per hour (around 4 mph) with little effort and have seen 11kph (6.83 mph) briefly on one occasion. Cuts through chop much easier than my shorter boat too and suits me fine for the lakes and rivers where I intend to use it. Thanks Zack for a great review, and for confirming I made the right choice:)

Thanks Mate for your helpful review. Being an Aussie gives it greater authenticity :-)) I was considering buying a Kayak next year for touring the great places in SE Qld where I now live. Sooo looking forward to doing it now on the Kayak that meets my every need for overnight and longer Kayak tour/campouts. Your comment sealed the deal for me with this amazingly highly praised reviews not just here but globally as well. Thanks

@@robertfearnside7731 Hi Robert. Thanks for your kind comments. I don't think you'll regret the decision. I've probably used my 125 about 15 times since purchase and like it more after each outing. I've heard the 140 and 145 might be a bit faster but as they get longer and heavier they are not as easy for me to manage (getting on and off the car etc.). Maybe if I was 20 years younger it would be a different story:) Anyhow for me it's perfect. Easy to maneuver, and quick enough to keep up with friends in longer boats. Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks Zach for an outstanding review. I was looking at the EddyLine touring models but really expensive to get one shipped her to Mpls., MN. So I see many Wilderness models on the top of cars so looking into the 125 for sure as it will be my 1st Kayak. I'm 65 y/o so the 45 lb weight will work for me.

There are a couple of dealers in twin cities area that can order one for you, check out Joes - they won’t charge shipping if it’s included in their regular order for the year.

Compared to the previous design for the Tsunami this current design is not what I would call a light touring kayak but an advanced recreational kayak. The previous design is a light touring kayak and IMO a better design especially regarding the 140 and up. The current design is hybrid of a Pungo and Tsunami. It's a TsPungo.

Have this boat and am enjoying it. My question is, do you know if they make the back and kit, that actually matches this newer seat color? Backbands are all in black with the white piping, this newer seat is the grey color, with orange piping...just haven't seen anything that matches this new seat color. Any feedback/insight would be awesome.

Have the older version really wish it had an integrated skeg and more rocker as it's not particularly maneuverable on slow rivers. Rolls rather easily knee brace came loose last time I went and ended up loosing my phone and broke my sunglasses. Would rather have a dagger stratos or dagger katana as I like river running more than lakes. Also found the mesh material on the back band to be rather abrasive and uncomfortable if my shirt rides up or not wearing one at all.

I like idea of one of then I have to pungo and love it but I do want something more like that as well but It needs to have roomy enough cockpit I can just plop my legs over for sun when I want

I have the newer version. Good stability, easy to paddle in a straight line. But, the cockpit is still very small and I don’t agree it’s any good for large paddlers. I am 5’11” and 200 lbs. I have seat back all the way, moved the seat pan to its most rearward position (only 2” of movement at most), and still have trouble getting in, I have to bend my legs back at the knees all the way. Once you are in, it feels plenty roomy. But, don’t expect it to turn well, I have paddled many other kayaks in the 12 foot class, and this is the most difficult of all to turn well and steer with edge turns. It seems front-heavy, the bow remains too planted while turning. My experience is that the performance of this kayak (in turning, edging and speed) is noticeably better if you are 175 lbs. or less. Compared to my thermoformed kayaks, this one takes much more paddling effort to keep it moving. Also, I do not understand why WS went with a rough bottom on the kayak models they re-designed (this being one of them), the plastic surface of the bottom feels like sandpaper, yet the top is smooth. My WS Aspire 105 has a smooth bottom, not sure why this one is different.
