So you are telling me Edgeworth gets the bellboy from the hotel next to where Phoenix works to fetch him some tea on the other side of the city? You want me to believe that's all???
This case is like an Edgeworth super fan was allowed to script a case. Savage one liners constantly, whitewashing his actions as the "demon prosecutor", ignoring scene continuity for rule of cool, and using a case way too complicated for Phoenix at this point in his career. It's a great time, but there's definitely a reason fans have a love-hate relationship with it, and why the anime decided to just pretend it didn't exist. Glad you were able to find all the fun in it, though. I do love Lana and Ema and they're the best part for me
I’m pretty sure the anime skipped this case because it wasn’t originally part of the trilogy (having been added for the games’ rerelease on the DS to highlight the capabilities of the new system) and wasn’t written by Shu Takumi.
So, for those who don't know, this trial wasn't originally part of the first Ace Attorney game. (Hoping I'm remembering the details here correctly.) The first Ace Attorney trilogy came out on Game Boy Advance, but then was rereleased for the DS. At that time they added the fifth case to the first game. There are some aspects of this case, such as the way Edgeworth seems to be taking things so harshly, that might seem a bit out of place after such an impressive victory, but had to be included because of the situation in the second game, which was originally written with the intent of being after the case with Manfred Von Karma, which much more understandably and obviously left Edgeworth distressed. I think they still pulled it off pretty well, and it is an AMAZING case, but if anyone thought it seemed a little strange that's because it was made after the fact to slot into this time period. I won't elaborate on what the situation with Edgeworth is in the second game, as that would be spoilers, but I feel like it's not spoilery to say that Edgeworth does have a part in the second game and its not divorced from the events here in the first game.

He truly is like gum on a shoe, you can't be rid of him unless Capcom says so. And.....he's been a little absent from the recent games. We've been wondering as a fanbase where our beloved puppy dog of the law is. We've been wondering if he's okay.....
if i had a nickel for every time a streamer made meekins into some kind of demonic entity i'd have 2 nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice!

He even ended up on her list. Blue badger song Crystahhhl- Put on the cat ears. No really, put them on. Miles- Leave me alome! Chief Daman Gant looks like Zeus from SMT 5 to me
This case is such a mixed bag for me. On one hand, the case is really fun and engaging, and you feel like a genius for exposing the conspiracy behind the scenes. On the other hand, because it was written after the third game in the trilogy was finished and only added for the DS port of the game, we see parts of Phoenix and Miles’s character that make little sense. Edgeworth acts like he’s had a conscience and moral compass as a prosecutor from the start of his career, when his actions in Turnabout Sisters blatantly show us otherwise. This case is too early in the timeline for him to be this good of a person. As for Phoenix, he makes plays (mainly the last one against Gant) in this case that he did not have the skill to pull off after the end of Turnabout Goodbyes. He levels up in this case and doesn’t stay at that level in the next game.
Counterpoint! (This is my favorite case of the trilogy so bear with me) The "impossible trick" he pulled off with evidence law was slowly presented to him by both Gant and Lana: The latter with the book, obviously, and since Phoenix is no dumbass he figured out what she was trying to say; Gant, on the other hand, pulled off the exact same trick on Miles, with the report about the Evidence Room murder. And again, Phoenix is no dumbass, so he realized he could pull off the exact same thing on Gant! So yeah, to me it's not out of character at all; he didn't come up with it on the spot, he had a little push in the right direction and a good example! ☝️😎 And Edgeworth already showed a good moral compass in case 3 with Vasquez, and case 4 made it even more apparent. Edit: grammar and added Edgeworth comment
Edgeworth literally manipulates both the bell boy and White for the sake of winning in Turnabout Sisters. Between that, the speech about his all-guilty policy before the second trial day of Turnabout Sisters, and every pro-Von Karma thing he says in Turnabout Goodbyes, him claiming that he’s never touched evidence a mere month after Turnabout Goodbyes feels like a lie. I will agree with you about the Phoenix part. Even if it feels like an AA3 level of thinking from Phoenix, especially because he presents it so calmly as opposed to panicking and having an aha moment, he was given enough info and context to use that evidence as cunningly as he does.
Edgeworth in Turnabout Sisters is a mildly an amoral jackass, but he's never actually been as bad as the rumors around him say- and this case shows a lot of those rumors came from the SL-9 case, which he had minimal impact on (he was brought on after Marshall died, and all the evidence fraud was Gant and Lana). Which tracks with what we actually experience dealing with him- eg the updated autopsy report feels like a dick move, but it's just Edgeworth catching and resolving a contradiction before the player can (and a side effect of the super rushed trial schedule). Also, Edgeworth here is kind of just burning everything down. He's decided he's leaving and everyone's trying to scapegoat him so fuck it he'll take on the Chief of Police
I love how just about every reaction to Gant anyone ever has can be summarized as "ah, not this goofy ass boi😮💨" or "Holy balls, this dude scares the crap out of me😱"

Laughing so hard when the pot & the Badger showed up 🤣 Also fun fact: This case was made for the release of Ace Attorney on Nintendo DS. There are apparently 2 reasons why, to showed what can they do with DS at that time(The powder, replaying the video, & the luminol. This elements will showed up again on the 4th game. Why no new cases for the 2nd & 3rd game? Unfortunately i don't know why) & to connect the story between AA1 & 2(This 2 games have 1 "hole" regarding the story. But even without this case, connection is there, this just add another theory & conclusion as for "why"). May you also have fun in Justice For All 👍
I think this video is from when she was playing through the first game, so she hadn’t played the rest of the trilogy yet at that point. (I could be wrong, though!)

Well, presumably someone else became the Chief of Police after this, much like how there was still a Chief Prosecutor even though it was no longer Lana.
(Minor spoilers for Justice for All and major spoilers for Trials & Tribulations, though if you read the above comment you’re pretty much already caught up) I’m guessing that Gant probably received a death sentence given his crimes, though we don’t know how long it would be before it was carried out. I don’t think it was confirmed whether Manfred von Karma was executed or just died in prison, and it was definitely a number of years before Dahlia’s execution was carried out. I barely recall the livestreams from this case I only know Biblically Accurate Mike Meekins
16:43 them staring at each other while having the same fit on is sending me
So you are telling me Edgeworth gets the bellboy from the hotel next to where Phoenix works to fetch him some tea on the other side of the city? You want me to believe that's all???
Go on. What next?
"I'm ready for case 5 today."
Gant: 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
What is up with Crystal having dreams with her favorite characters, like Akechi and Edgeworth. I wish i could do that😢
This case is like an Edgeworth super fan was allowed to script a case.
@@Keyanna64what!? Wow i didn't know that shu takumi didn't participate in writing this case :ooo
4:36 when you are so into this game that your worst nightmares have now become the protagonist's worst nightmares
Yooo, convenient lunch time crystahl vid, lets goooo
And it's more Edgeworth thirst, hecc yeah
I'm confident Crystaahhl could pull off amazing cosplays of either of the Skye sisters.
Well, she does look A LOT like Lana.
29:00 I've never seen someone struggle im this part as much as her 😂
If i had a nickel for everytime meekins was headcannoned as a horrifying entity id have two nickels. Which isn't alot but its weird its happened twice.
(Shout out to yall who watch save data)
2:24 "Corprate wants you to identify the diffrence between thease pictures. They are the same picture"
Yes you gotta edit and upload all the ace attorney cases on the main channel
The Meekins love is probably my favorite thing here
i feel like this case goes on for way longer than it needed to even though the final trial was really good and gant is such a fun antagonist. overall i'm glad that they shifted to only having two trial segments per case for the rest of the games in the series
Gumshoe may be the butt of a lot of jokes...... But God damn if he is not the realest bro in this game.😂
There are no fires in Hell hot enough, painful enough, nor ruinous enough to deter Detective Dick Gumshoe from being your very best friend.
He is the most loyal person in the series. He truly is like gum on a shoe, you can't be rid of him unless Capcom says so.
And.....he's been a little absent from the recent games. We've been wondering as a fanbase where our beloved puppy dog of the law is. We've been wondering if he's okay.....
I miss him soooo much. I need to see him again with a good salary
She aint ready for the next 2 games for edgeworth
This case is always a joy to watch, especially with Gant. I'm glad to see the edit is finally out!
The connecting the dots part was at the same time funny and kinda infuriating I'm not gonna lie lol
I care not that I am not gay. Edgeworth is the hottest fictional character ever to exist.
"I'm getting tired of the judges shit in this case"
Oh honey, if only you knew.😂
Girl really jinxed herself saying she needed to watch it 5 times. 😂
CrystAAHHL does look like a Mia Fey. She bears a greater resemblance to Lana though.
if i had a nickel for every time a streamer made meekins into some kind of demonic entity i'd have 2 nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice!
First we have Mia and Maya Fey, now we have Lana and Ema Skye
7:12 Dejavu with the second case with April May, except April's booba were much better; and chat wasn't feral, or they were feral and I didn't see it
11:06 I know a streamer who was done with the judge by case two. He even ended up on her list.

Crystahhhl- Put on the cat ears. No really, put them on.
Miles- Leave me alome!
Chief Daman Gant looks like Zeus from SMT 5 to me
Are you referring to Jazzyguns?
@@frozenfoxgames5300 Yep, that's her. I didn't know if it was okay to mention other streamers.
Watching this... Lana would make a great cosplay for you! Your hair already matches hers really well. Emma would also be a good choice.
AtobeHunter gets Giga Chad of the week for that sentence at 26:30.
(This is my favorite case of the trilogy so bear with me)
The "impossible trick" he pulled off with evidence law was slowly presented to him by both Gant and Lana:
The latter with the book, obviously, and since Phoenix is no dumbass he figured out what she was trying to say;
Gant, on the other hand, pulled off the exact same trick on Miles, with the report about the Evidence Room murder. And again, Phoenix is no dumbass, so he realized he could pull off the exact same thing on Gant!
So yeah, to me it's not out of character at all; he didn't come up with it on the spot, he had a little push in the right direction and a good example! ☝️😎
And Edgeworth already showed a good moral compass in case 3 with Vasquez, and case 4 made it even more apparent.

13:15 huh, i think we found who Lord Strongheart is the ancestor of.

1:09:33 This one... Yeah this one just hits me. It's like Gina's crying smile in GAA, I just love how genuine it feels. It's just... Genuinely one of the best smile sprites in the series.
Finally, it's time!
so i'm guessing crystaaal got the identity of the 'killer' and 'victim' in the locker room mixed up? XD
Laughing so hard when the pot & the Badger showed up 🤣
Also fun fact: This case was made for the release of Ace Attorney on Nintendo DS.
May you also have fun in Justice For All 👍
Easly top 3 cases in the entire series.

Damn, this fanfic case is not half bad
I like how she reacts when edgeworth puts a letter of resignation eveb though she finished the trilogy. Unless this video is after she played case 4.
I think this video is from when she was playing through the first game, so she hadn’t played the rest of the trilogy yet at that point. (I could be wrong, though!)

42:16 damn that's a high pitch
I love your playthrough of the ace attorney games, but sometimes you are so slow to get the easiest of things xD
This case was made for the DS version, so it was made after the rest of the trilogy.

i cant wait to see you react to game 2
YAAAAY
New AA video just drop🎉🎉. I wonder what happened to Gant? Von Karma and Dahlia were hanged. Even after this case Police Chief were mentioned a few times in both sequels.
Well, presumably someone else became the Chief of Police after this, much like how there was still a Chief Prosecutor even though it was no longer Lana.
(Minor spoilers for Justice for All and major spoilers for Trials & Tribulations, though if you read the above comment you’re pretty much already caught up)
I’m guessing that Gant probably received a death sentence given his crimes, though we don’t know how long it would be before it was carried out. I don’t think it was confirmed whether Manfred von Karma was executed or just died in prison, and it was definitely a number of years before Dahlia’s execution was carried out. (I think we’re told it took place about a month before case 3-5?)
I love that everyone just agrees they're gay. Like if you're not reading that, are you even playing Ace Attorney?
