Okay, that is awesome! I tried making vegan once fish eggs with tapioca pearls and well... let's say I will never make them again :D But I might give this one a try, if I can find those chemicals in my small town :D
oh! I just asked that question 😅 So, why don‘t you want to do it again? Was it a complete fail? Or did it just not taste enough like fish? Please tell us all about your experience with the tapioca pearls! thanks! :)
@@L-B-F_84 How about the fact that tapioca pearls don't have a liquid center? That what gives caviar its character...not just the fact that its round.
As a veggie with a chemistry degree, I love this. So few scientifically literate veggie people and it gets a bit lonely.
*do you have your own cookbook for sale, Cause i love all your recipes!😄 id buy one*
@@EastMeetsKitchen already done?
yeah.. I tried this yesterday and my liquid turned into a solid jelly. Now I know for sure it was the tap water. It is pretty hard so I only makes sense.
awesome!! i love and always appreciate ur unique content. what solution do u think would mimic a salmon roe type of caviar the most? would u do a follow up with a vegan sushi/sashimi vid ? thank you!
peplika Maybe a coloured solution from Wakame or Kombu seaweed ? 🤔
I love this! So many applications for this come to mind! Not to mention it will make a great edible science project to do with my son! Thank you for sharing! can't wait to see more!
Sago grain after boiling looks like ikura. U need to add flavor and colors to it.
I’ve tried to follow this recipe and ended up with coloured mucus in a water 😆 balls didn’t form .. I got the same scales ,weigh everything properly ,didn’t use acidic liquid ,used seaweed stock but didn’t work for me 😕
with this i can make seaweed flavor pearls to top my sushi thx for the tutorial
Wow, this is so exciting!!!
Wow! This is the Holy Grail of vegan cooking! Thank you for this :)
woooo amazing! can't believe i just found your channel, i love it
You can just use agar powder, boil it, and then drop it into chilled oil!
East Meets Kitchen I wanna try this to remake those fruit juice ball toppings that they have at frozen yogurt places too
O_O that's wild!!!
T_T
Just found your channel! Wow subscribed, amazing
Amazing thank you so much, just for the juice if you have a juicer machine it will be much better. Which most of us has it natural vegetables. Thank you for sharing
I’m not vegan but I just can’t find this in the supermarket
wow girl, neat work!!
Is this vegetarian
Better - it's vegan.
does this also work for Tapioka pearls soaked in water over night that has been flavoured with Nori?
I think it better to use dropper then that u use because it's to tight to push it drop... 😊
😎
HAHAHAHHA YESSS :) This is amazing!!! (AS ALWAYS!!)
I might make this just so I can get fish eggs anytime 😂
ahhh thsi is so coool i wanted to try this too uwu
Coooooool!
Cool
Why do you speak more and work less
Salmon roe is one of the healthiest foods you can eat
@@EastMeetsKitchen you fool, you fell for my trap card. Cholesterol is the precursor for many good things, vitamin D as an example. Cholesterol is the body's primary antioxidant and is required by every cell in the body. 25% of the bodies cholesterol is used by the brain. If you are in deficient in cholesterol your brain will be prioritized and you won't have cholesterol to spare for the rest of the body. I was cholesterol deficient when I was vegan so I know from experience. On top of cholesterol being required, salmon roe has nearly every nutrient, with healthy omega-3s most notably. And yes, I am trying to be a smart ass, because I know my shit and can be. Good video nonetheless, humans are dangerously creative
@@Silver-Freddy cholesterol is produced endogenously, you tool. how is it possible to be cholesterol deficient? smh. cholesterol and saturated fats cause endothelial dysfunction and atherosclerosis. you're only putting yourself at risk for CVDs. Food should be looked at as a package, you forget that salmon roe comes with the heavy metals, cholesterol, saturated fat and animal protein that raises igf-1 levels in the body.
