Appreciate the video. Will be down the week of Thanksgiving. Is there a water temp at Bull Shoals that you stop throwing top water?

Typically topwater slows down drastically around the mid 60s however I have caught topwater fish in 50 degree water!!!! Fish the conditions........ thanks for watching and subscribing

wanted to weigh in on a comment you made at the beginning of the video about thermocline. actually as the water cools it becomes denser and actually starts pushing the thermocline down, not up. when the volume of water above the thermocline becomes large enough it will then push through the thermocline and that is the start of fall tunrover and allows the bottom layer of water to mix with the rest of the water and it diminishes the O2 levels, and that in turn scatters bait and fish. shallow water will obviously turn first and will have the first good water. this is why to keep checking the backs of pockets because bait and bass will move out of the water that is turning and get into these small seams of good water and can be a bonanza when you find them. after turnover is over and the O2 levels re-establish then both bait and bass can be anywhere in the water column and where the most bait is will dictate where the most bass will be located in the water column. fall turnover makes any lake fish very small while it is going on. you have to fish above it where it has already turned, or fish downstream from it where it has not started yet.

Thanks you for catching that. “Nailed It!” I said thermocline was coming up I was thinking turnover is coming up as in yet to happen, thermocline is down around 50’ now on Bull getting close to turnover. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
