Go girl homeschooling! I homeschooled my 3 kids all the way through. I have one with a bachelor's degree in psychology, one in medical school and one that's a writer. Cherish even the hard days bc they go by so very quickly! It's very fun times!
I’m already learning that time zooms by! I try to remind myself of that on the hard days. My husband and I were both homeschooled as well. I’m a nurse and my husband was a police officer. My brother was also homeschooled and he is an engineer. Homeschooler’s rock! Sounds like your kids are doing great!
I relate so much to you Bethany. You’ve said it so perfectly: the character that is forged in the suffering can only come from the suffering. Amen. Things have happened and and of course I wish things looked differently sometimes. But if I hadn’t gone through any of these things that I have, I wouldn’t be who I am right now. Trusting and relying on God more than I ever have in my life. My faith is stronger than ever before all these trials I’ve faced. I’m so thankful that my circumstances and trials don’t determine Gods goodness or trustworthiness. His trustworthiness is not tied to our circumstances here on earth. But in who He is and what He has done. He never breaks a promise. He loves, cares, and provides always- no matter what I’m facing.
He sees the things that our human minds cannot understand! I think about a Father, gently tugging something from his child’s hands. The child gets angry, throwing a tantrum because he doesn’t understand the big picture. His Father has removed something from him that could be harmful to him. I feel like that child. Getting angry when life doesn’t go my way..then God reminds me that I’m to trust Him the same way that I expect my children to trust me.
I’m so thankful for you opening your heart up to us and being vulnerable. So encouraging to see how God has been working for you and your family. He is so good and I’m thankful He has you in this community to share His goodness through your testimony 💞

God brings us so much closer in our darkest hours. Because He loves us so much and He doesn't want us to go through these things, but He is here to comfort us and give us all of His love. More love than we can ever imagine.
