We stayed in a tiny little red cottage on the enchanting island of Visingsö where we felt like the prince and princess of a summer saga as we encountered trolls, fairy trees, a castle, a candyland village, and more! OmG, this was magical! I would never be able to leave this place again and probably die of homesickness Jonathan! And allthough Sleepy Hollow is also very enchanting, Sweden outshines it by many fold. I could easily see you both living here, in one of those Fairy Tale Cottages, near the great big oak forest, with Jonathan paitning, carving and drawing trolls and fairy creatures and maybe even making swedish blends of herbal teas, potpouries and spice mixes etc. ...... 🙂

I love that the memories of all the people and places are so lovingly preserved for us to witness and know of their lives, dreams and contributions to history. It's a visual reminder of what they went through during those times so long ago.

It is lovely to see this little swedish towns and the country side. The lovely houses and cottages. So adorable ! I am from germany and we live very near to denmark and sweden, in Slesvig-Hostein near Hamburg. We also love sweden because it has a "german Queen" ;) And we love skandinavian crime films and series :D ;) I wish you a wonderful time in sweden and a save journey back to Sleepy Hollow !

@@itsacharminglife Hi Jonas, it's always a pleasure to watch your videos ! Yes, Germany also has very beautiful cities and regions in terms of landscape and culture. Rothenburg is just one of them ;) Beck says something to me, but I haven't seen it yet, but I know where I can watch it and I'll check it out. The Bridge, Wallander and The Killing are my favourite Swedish crime series so far.
I have many troll books and recall so many stories of them told to me by my Mormor. This brought her a little closer to me today. Thank you!

Tack for the tour! I have adored John Bauer since I was a child. My mormor had a troll made in her childhood home of Fritsla of mosses and sticks. I miss Sweden so much and had to cancel my trip to see family this summer. Will go nästa sommar but in the meantime I appreciate seeing the homeland thru your videos! Tack tack tack!

@@itsacharminglife trolls figure in the stories my mormor told me and so does the tomte. We have a tomte door here in our home in California, so he can come and go as he pleases. And yes, I prepare porridge for him to keep him happy.

Beautiful video my friends! What a charming cottage and I loved getting to see all the villages. Also to see who inspired Jonas on his artistic journey! How tragic that he died so young(and his whole family too)! I kept feeling like he was still with you as a ball of light showed up on several of your scenes as you followed in his footsteps. Jonas looked so happy to be back in his native land. The Fika treats looked yummy but not quite as good as the ones I’ve seen Jonas bake! Makes me want to visit Sweden!!❤️

I loved everything about this video especially the gentle expressions of love between you two. And seeing a little Swedish flag flying on the front door of the cottage was so heartwarming since it reminds me of how we fly the American flag in front of our homes.
