BLT Pasta Salad
Ingredients
Salad Ingredients:
• 6 oz uncooked rotini pasta, about 2 cups
• 4 cups romaine or iceberg lettuce, rinsed, chopped and dried
• 1 1/2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
• 8 oz bacon, fried and chopped
• 1/3 cup red onion, finely chopped
•
For the Dressing:
• 1/4 cup Ranch dressing
• 1/4 cup sour cream
• 1/2 cup mayonnaise
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 3 Tbsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed
• ¼ tsp salt
• ⅛ tsp ground black pepper
Instructions:
1. Cook pasta according to package instructions, drain the pasta and rinse under cold water, set aside to cool.
2. In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the dressing and whisk until creamy.
3. In a large salad bowl, add the cooked pasta, chopped romaine, halved tomatoes, cooked bacon, and chopped red onion and toss.
4. Just before serving, add the dressing to taste and gently toss until combined.

Frosted Lemonade (Copycat Chic-Fil-A)
Ingredients:
2 cups vanilla icecream
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice about 2 large lemons
2-3 teaspoons powdered sugar sweeten to taste (2-3 teaspoons)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
yellow food coloring optional
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend for about 30 seconds until smooth.
This is a thicker milkshake and depending on the brand of ice cream, so you may need to stir halfway through. If needed, you can add a splash of milk or water to help it blend.
Pour into a glass and bask in the glory of making it homemade!
Optional: Add a drop of yellow food coloring for a signature lemonade color.

Looks great. You could also add ice instead of milk and get more of a slushy-like drink. The salad looks very good. I am going to the beach with my brother's family of 13 adults and 7 children next week. On my night to cook dinner I am getting a Honey Baked Ham. I think that salad would be nice cool side dish with the ham.

Great looking salad and drink! Unless you were making the salad for several people, I definitely would do as you did and put the lettuce in separately. However, I have had a similar salad and lettuce was mixed in and it is really delicious that way. Having the dressing all over the romaine makes it taste differently. The frosted lemonade sounds incredible. Can’t wait to try this. Thanks!

I love BLT sandwiches and pasta salads. Good idea on the lettuce. I don't like soggy lettuce. Looks good. May have to try it. That is weird the frosted lemonade calls for powdered sugar. The recipe I made mine from calls for granulated sugar. I think the next time I make it I will not add as much water because it was not thick enough for me. I like the consistency of yours.
