      The average body weight in the 2016 CF Games was around 85 Kg (~185 Lb); now, in order to pass the cut to qualify for the event you must be able to snatch 120+ Kg (~264 Lb) and be able to do dozens of muscle ups. Most of gymbros can't snatch a shit, and 220+ Lb bodyweight will mess your muscle ups except for elite calisthenic athletes. Yes, even elite CF competitors can't stand in size and mass vs bodybuilders, but they have better strenght x lb ratio and can go throught the Games without dying.

      Max Willson What are you, high? My guess is you have never worked along side a serious bodybuilder. I tried crossfit for a week just to shut up a friend of mine who was all about it. I was bored, and they kept telling me i was doing pull ups wrong because I wasn't doing that "fish out of water, lets try to hump the bar" move. I was like whats the point I can do 30 strict pull ups. They were like well maybe you could get 50 and get more points. So how do you display these points and who will admire them? Well other crossfitters will admire your score. But when I leave the BOX or whatever its called who will admire them. How will anyone know. "Well you wear this shirt that says you do cross fit and you tell everyone." How about i wear no shirt and keep my mouth shut and everyone knows I am a body builder. Ckeck mate game over. Tell your girl to stop staring.

      BassasaurusRex eh smaller people naturally are way under 200... I'm 5'9. At 5'9 if you weigh 200lbs at 10% body fat your ffmi is over 26 which is not possible naturally and is huge, so no I don't want to be 200lbs and will never be 200lbs as I'm not taking steroids

    Dude, I just don't see the reason for this level of hostility toward crossfit. I am not a crossfitter but I'm not a bodybuilder either. Just a regular gym goer. If people want to do crossfit, let them. If people want to bodybuild, that's great too. However the only hostility I see is from bodybuilders like you and the asian guy with the glasses. Just chill out and respect everyone's choice in workout. Everyone is just trying to be healthy, and that's the most important thing.

    I'm a crossfitter 3 days a week (for endurance/stamina mobility, power, etc) and bodybuilder 2 days a week (for strength) ... But being a short Mexican I don't think I'll ever get to be that weight and still be able to do my muscle ups. However, I DID find the video hilarious!! 😂 😂 😂 😂

    AMEN! I got here after searching "An adult male weighs at least 200 pounds" - Mark Rippetoe". In the NFL, even a highly skilled position like QB they want them to be at least 220 pounds, and 230-235 is even better. Why, because they handle the punishment much better then a lighter QB. A 175 lbs man looks like a teenager.

    Charles Bronson (Britain's most violent prisoner) said he never wastes his time with weights. The guy pops 6000 pushups a day. Can do 132 in 60 seconds (actually recorded by the prison he was in), breaking world records. He tried weights for the first time, picked up 500 pounds, like it was a bag of flowers, wasn't hard for him at all. Read solitary fitness. Funniest shit too, the guy is a legend.

    All depends. In my opinion cross fit is a recipe for a snapped up spine. However to truly impress me show me a gym full of natural folks who are huge from just food and hard work, it's like a unicorn. Personally my knees feel like shit when I weigh over 200, 180-190 seems to be my sweet spot so I guess I'm that adult male.

    I'm trying so hard to get to 200+lb of muscle. I'm being patient, hitting the gym and eating healthy and getting my calories and protein. Currently at 185-190, hope I can get there by next spring!

    The biggest guys in CrossFit juice the fuck up, I guarantee you. Not only that, but CrossFit makes you a dilatant. You don't master anything, and doing metcon all the time is horrible for you. Building strength takes time, there isn't a easy way out. Doing it wrong is a death sentence.

    I'm 240 got a good bit of muscle chunky as hell though trying to get down to like 200 lbs and I'm 5'5'' I hold it well though I'm pretty stalky plus I don't body build I strength train basically same thing except I eat whatever I want and look pretty average "so like shit" I can lift things though lol love the channel

    Crossfitters and body builders aee both a joke. Wrestlers (Not wwe, I know one of you fools was thinking that I was talking about the fake wrestlers of the world) and Boxers are the men. Cael Sanderson could take on Hafthor Bjørnson and destroy him just because of what he his and what he does. Wrestlers, boxers and mma fighters are the ultimate competitors.     I do CrossFit because it's helped me lose weight incredibly fast. once I get down to my desired weight, it's back to a regular gym to bulk back up. Hell, I still hit the gym at work to isolate certain muscle groups. CrossFit is a good complement to regular workouts, but I wouldn't replace it with CF.

    I started going to the gym to get into shape so I hired a trainer at first we did body building things but recently he's been making me do CrossFit so after this months over(already paid for the month) I'm dropping him and doing body building with my dad

    Whats up with all this crossfit vs bodybuilding? I mean both get out of their comforte zone to up their game and instead of pointing to the lazy guys on the couches they go up against each other. I dont get it, is there a deeper truth behind this?

    I mean those guys also don't do crossfit to get in that shape, that's why they are so much bigger than everyone else. They do bodybuilding to get into shape for the events.

    i never trusted rob frank as a natty, he clearly isnt or he was very large before working out which gives him his width but his lifting ethics are very good and should be taken as advice
