Would love to see you get your hands on a Fara, Dare, Titici, Cinelli Nemo Tig, Passoni Prima Disco, Ribble Allroad TI, Heroin, Aurum, Standert. These are bikes you don´t see that many reviews of. So would be cool to see what you think of them.
I"ve got the Cube Lightning Aero Race 2025, rode about 500km on it now, had to replace the frame once due to a crack (factory mistake). Got a new frame in 2 weeks and since then no problems!
I have the Cube. Its the new Litening Aero C:68 SLX in blue and with new Sram Red. The bike performs AMAZING !!! Very stiff but also confort, if you put watts she goes, its really really fast ! And new its the best top tier bike on the market. You cant find another brand or model with full carbon wheelset and new Sram Red E1 under 7k €. Only Canyon or Van Rysel but both coasts 9k :) i really recommend the bike for anyone who wants a aero bike, climbing fast and very sharp top tier machine :D
The Cubes do look really nice. Only thing I hope they will change ist the handlebar width… I mean 44?? Who rides these nowadays? It‘s an aero bike, so get some 36 or 38 on there
I’ve been deep diving Cube’s C68X Aero Litening. I’ve only seen two reviews. It’s a pretty advanced aero bike that nobody seems to know. It’s not sold in the US. Inter Marche seems to like them. Looking forward to a comprehensive review. Waiting to purchase!
the most interesting thing about the Pinarello X, to me, is the tall stack on an aero frame. they also have half sizes. I've never been able to slam the stem on any of my bikes, but I feel like I could on one of those.
@@harrylook7810 the other advantage of a taller head tube is that it is more aerodynamic. Stem spacers aren’t as deep as the head tube, so a frame with a taller head tube should be faster unless it is too tall.
Thanks for all the work you did in 2024 really appreciated the videos. If you could get your hands on the Cube Attain SLT I'd really love that. It's their top of the range Endurance model with a complete Carbon package and Ultegra Di2
I was able to order the 2025 cube agree pro for 2804€ (local 15% discount from the cube-retailer multicycle, if u look on their website u'll find it) will probably take some time to get it delivered but hey, won't complain
HOW have you not ridden the Ostro VAM? You're in the UK, Vires Velo will happily give you a loan bike to try!?!? Also somewhat condescending to say "fanboy" when you've not ridden them! Maybe because they have been shown to be most aero bike in professional racing in most recent cyclingnews aero testing. And the are one of the lightest??? A bike they gave 5 stars and said rivalled the best with the only con being "I have to give it back" .... and you're so behind the times you show a picture of the OLD Ostro - they're now on to the Ostro VAM 2.0. The 2.0 was launched in February '24, so you'll be over a year behind!
Hi David, I'm looking forward to your test judgement of the C62 pro. Cube in particular manages to offer fantastic prices with such groupsets. I haven't found anything comparable yet. Happy new year🎉
Alternative Boutique choices; buy Standert kreisssäge RS for the refined classic geometry and superior ride quality for 3500€. Time AdH with Dura Ace costs the same as Cube in similar setup, but Time is the more refined virsion of any mass produced carbon bikes! Even no nonsense option would be ritchey or Fairlight, again with more superior comfort with no marketing gimmicks!
Hi Dave, try to get your hands on a Ridley Grifn RS for a review. This looks an interesting bike to me as well also also an all road combo or with two sets of tires (a ‘light’ gravel setup and a road setup)
I actually use the C68 Gravel as an all road bike. It fits up to 45mm and I usually have 40mm Pirelli TLR Race tires on there to soak up the road bumps.
C68Gravel is one of few gravel bikes that fits road cyclists because its closer to classic road geometry than typical gravel. 42mm slicks are perfect for the road because medium sized tire 35-38 means giving up both comfort and speed.
Speaking of Cube, check out Radon Vaillant and Radon Spire as well. I believe Radon is something like a sub brand of Cube and their bikes are extremely good value. ❤
Really tempted by the Lauf as I like to ride something different to the mainstream. Just a shame you have to pay import duty which makes them expensive. Need a UK distributor
I really like my Uthald Ultimate. I got it in August and it caused quite a stir when I brought it to my club rides. I find it very comfortable and faster than I am (sadly it does not include new legs). Here in the U.S. it is a great value.
Cube proves that bikes should cost what they are getting for theirs, and they must still be making a profit. It shows how ridiculous prices are for most Chinese carbon P.O.S. these days, costing 4 times what they should. I'll stick with my lugged Italian steel thanks.
J’ai un cube Lightning air SLX depuis plus d’une année, j’ai fait 15’000km depuis, et j’en suis plus que satisfait, c’est un. Super vélo avec rapport qualité prix imbattable!
Can you share about ride feel? I tried a couple of endurance bikes and they where soft putting power when climbing. Can you feel the stiffness or is it soft? Mostly around the bottom bracket .
@ that may be true, I wouldn’t say it feels quick and my fitness is not at a level I can compare it to my race bikes at present but I bought it as a winter bike and for use on poor British roads so it fulfils those criteria
I don’t get your Factor fan boy comment. I bought one because it is the only bike out there that offers all the component options that exactly match my somewhat odd fit dimensions. I just clicked the boxes and Shazam! A custom built bike shows up on my doorstep. I looked into bikes like the S5, but they don’t even have my stem length available in the US. Similar problem with the SL8. Crazy to think these companies want you to spend a fortune on a bike that doesn’t fit out of the box and it is iffy if the right parts will even be available in the next 6 months.
I have a new Dogma F big dollar build and my wife has a Cube Agree Race .Its an amazing bike for the price .Its a good as any bike twice Its price and I'm serious .I swapped out the cockpit for her for more aero bars and its amazing. If you don't have big money or want to save alot buy a Cube .Its looks amazing
I just wish Giant would ditch hookless - had two TCR's and really fancy the new one, but not buying a new bike just to immediately replace the wheels...
@@davidarthur There's nothing inherently "wrong" with them if set up correctly and maintained at the correct pressure - more that they just aren't suitable for daily riding up here in the North Pennines. Which is also why I've ditched tubeless, great idea (if you've got a team car and mechanic following you) but just don't stand up to UK roads. Been covered in sealant too many times, trying to put a tube into a tyre at the side of the road to get home. Switched back to latex tubes and so much easier...
ah sorry to hear that, sounds like you've had all the bad luck to my good luck with tubeless ! ;) It was riding in winter with tubeless many years ago and not having to fix a flat in the freezing rain that converted me
Saying 35mm on the Pinarello X is not enough is dumb and doesn’t make sense. Narrow tires are faster on the road and that’s all I want on my road bike. I ride 28mm on my rim brake bikes and it’s more than enough. It’s like buying a Ferrari and trying to fit off-road tires. If you need more comfort and wide tires buy a gravel bike. It was even ridden in the gravel world championships so why wouldn’t that be enough on a ROAD bike. Also the Pinarello X range is a really great bike it fits well, goes down to a smaller size than the other endurance bikes and doesn’t have any weird useless suspension like a Rubaix and Domane.
‘Weird useless suspension’ shows you’ve never ridden one or don’t understand the concept. Also adding 40mm tyres to a top end road bike doesn’t suddenly make it a dog. It’s just a tiny bit of extra comfort for a tiny sacrifice in average speed. We all prefer different set-ups. Nothing wrong with that.
I beg to differ. First of all, in some cases 34mm tires were tested to be actually faster than 28mm. (NorCal Cycling) Second, even if the 35mm was slower, the difference is marginal while the added comfort is huge. On an endurance bike where comfort is key, I think that’s pretty important. Also, I don’t think speed is as important of a factor on an endurance bike than a road bike. You might be comfortable with having 28mm tires even on longer rides, but there are folks who would be much happier with wider tires maybe due to their age, health condition, environment, etc. And lastly there are race bikes that has tons of clearance now (example: New Scott Addict RC w/ 34mm clearance), I think it makes sense for endurance bikes to have slightly bigger clearance.
That’s a older factor and those aren’t black inc wheels then you mention “deserves my time”. If you can’t put the appropriate research and time in to your content then it’s my time I need to protect
@josephdunbar2105 My sincere apologies for inserting the wrong image of the bike when I was making this video I'll try my best to do better in future (Maybe editing while drinking over Christmas isn't the best idea in the world)

I 100% agree with Cube bikes. For me the most popular of 2025 road range is the brand new Attain.
Just been out on mine 👍🏻
better than Ali Express carbon bikes because Cube is a legitimate big name brand and comes with proper warranty.
Happy new year David, thanks for the work you put in testing bikes for those of us not fortunate enough to be able to test ride before we buy!
