i love that scott and tim as guitar players are insanely clean and technical, no doubt, but also insanely creative. it's been said a thousand times, but technical playing is always impressive; rarely interesting (after the novelty wears off). However, Scott, Tim and the Clays come up with the most creative riffs, solos, and combinations of all of their collective technical abilities. I haven't ever listened to another group and thought "how the hell did they come up with that?" as many times as I have with Polyphia. It doesn't hurt that Tim is also a wizard in the studio and is able to do some next-level stuff to enhance their sound with studio magic as well.
Tim Henson loves playing fast, but every single note is really clear because he used to play violin when he was younger so he’s used to putting more pressure on the strings then if he was just playing an electric guitar.🎸
They have a full live studio playthrough you should check out!

A lot of the time it looks like Scott is tapping the whammy real fast when he strums downwards
Underrated song.
It's like Ariana Grande's mouth is on that guitar.
hes just doing octave slides with a wah pedal effect for the chorus
