- Today we start a big MLB The Show 23 Franchise series with the Oakland Athletics. The A's are the toughest team for Franchise mode in MLB The Show this year, with their weak roster, struggling farm system, and the lowest budget in baseball. The rebuild of this team won't be easy. And there aren't many future stars already on the roster. We need to scout, develop, and completely change this team to succeed in the rebuild.

I would LOVE to see Sano brought in. I believe hes a free agent once the season starts, but he would be a nice power bat to add which isnt really on the team. Just DH specialize him if you wanted
Goat franchise UA-camr, doesn’t matter what sport is being played.
I picked up Sano after I traded Aguilar in mid June of year 1, he was hitting .290 at the deadline with power too so I was able to flip him to the Phillies for a good upside outfielder. Really worked out well for me!
I won't lie Cane I'd much rather watch you play WWE2k than FIFA or NBA2k. I know you wanna get into other sports but that San Diego Surf series was really really tough to watch at points and with something like WWE you don't really need to know much to play it. Its honestly perfect for your kinda style of series while FIFA and NBA just won't be fun unless you really really spend time at them which I think would hurt series like the A's or Titans.

Cane I would do football manager over fifa because it’s a lot more in depth and I think you’d enjoy it a lot more
im extremely late but if certain guys with low potential are doing well give them potential boosts to at least hold their ratings. like Jordan Diaz and Capel deserve at least c potential based off their stats and their attributes. besides they have been good throughout their minor league careers and their minor amount of major league time

Jp sears and Paul Blackburn are proving that even though their teams crap when their pitching they gotta a good chance I think mlb should make them at least mid 70s next game just cause their proving themselves

Soderstrom has only played 4 games and had 17 ABs down in AA. May need to adjust the lineups. I have to every couple of weeks because CPU seems to change too frequent for my liking. Love the content!
Go to league settings and change everything to manual so the cpu will stop changing things
Cane please up the potential of the A’s top prospects. Check their top 25 and make it make more sense. This out of the box roster has some of their highest ranked guys at D potential. You’re setting yourself back like that. The A’s have top 100 guys. Particularly your starting pitchers. Even the first roster update from Friday upped the potentials of quite a few of them, albeit still too low. I know not every player should be a star, but some of the A’s prospects are getting absolutely no respect from SDS. The reason your Rockies roster had guys with better potential was because you used the Full Minors roster, not the horrific base set. So I think you should keep that in mind.

If you sign a player that doesnt default to a minor league contract they will be added to your 40 man..

@@XaviRonaldo0 yes.. no player who earned free agency wants to go back to a non 40 man contract.. some have to cuz they arent good enough, but if they arent good enough they shouldnt have an issue goin through waivers

It's a mistake to not sign those prospects in free agency. I don't see that cheating the system or fleecing another team.

I think the problem with the Colorado series was that, the entire team was made through free agency and it kinda ruined the immersion. Here you’re kind forced to build from within and try to trade for the underrated guys.

Just out of curiosity what is max muncy (the As prospect) rated? I feel like it would be good to have some of the prospects mixed in a bit earlier than usual to see how they do since the team is so bad. And I hope we get some minor league focus like you did with the Rockies
Cane I have a Franchise going with the Reds on my channel and I have been contemplating trading for Jo Adell! The fact you have the same thoughts is funny🤣 If I did make a deal I’d probably send over Jake Fraley and a prospect with around B potential.

The mariners are terrible in my franchise as well. Something about their roster seems off.
The rosters are generally terrible. Cane is setting himself back years in this franchise simply because a lot of the A’s top prospects in this game have D potentials for no reason at all.

Hey Cane between Adell and Tork is there really a big difference? Same overall, same age, most likely the same ish stats and the only difference is potential but is it a big deal if Adell is 89 potential (so he’s a B) and Tork would be a 90 so his potential would be an A?

What's the difference between regional and the show theme?
In the regional theme, you're getting to see things like more signature lines that you might hear on those broadcasts after home runs, and then the national broadcast showcases more things like win expectancy (I'm sure that might be in the regional one as well)
I also think you may see unique team logos in the presentation on regional
