I just bought the 10 last week to use for my yoga zoom classes. I love my Fire 10! I got the white one with a nice case. It’s fast and the picture is beautiful. I also have a 2014 HD 7 and it still works but it’s slow and the battery is pretty worn out. But I’ll tell you that these Amazon Fires are a really good deal and last a very long time. Highly recommended!
Just ordered the 10 on Prime day and got it for $79.99, still waiting for delivery. All the reviews so far have been positive for a tablet in this price range, hope I am not disappointed. One question however, I thought it was based on Android 9 and not Android 10, maybe it has since been updated.
Its good for the price but the galaxy tab A7 2020 is around £169 and its much better i have both,id fully recommend spending the extra £19 and getting the Samsung.
Hi, I purchased the Fire HD 10 during Amazon's Prime Day sale and paid approximately 1/2 price, a very sweet deal and love it! The larger screen is very nice, watching videos is a pleasure, and I have had zero problems with downloads or performance. Nothing to complain about.
I just got a fire HD 10 plus (2021). And I'm in love. For some reason I prefer this over my old iPad mini 4. Can do all the same things for the most part and it has more ram.
Play store is very easy to add.... it's as simple as downloading apps....4 apks in precise order and a soft reboot. Side note....if you download content for off line viewing... Your battery last nearly18 hours on a single charge.
Thanks for this. I've been looking to upgrade from my 7 (i started with a 6 and upgrade every couple years, with the exception of the HDX 8.9 that crapped out way before it should have). I think i've made up my mind and will go with the 10. Awesome review!
There is a noticeable difference between the new Fire HD 10 and the previous version of it. It is so much faster, its a joy to use my new one. None of the lag I used to get on the older version. I would still recommend side loading Google play services. It gives you so much more options for apps than the rather limited Amazon App options.
I got the new HD 8 for Free because it was a gift. But paid for $15 for a digitizer screen replacement. Be careful for a screen cracking. Good for an ebook reader and some tablet features.
I have the Fire HD 10 and the battery life is crap. Not sure if I got a bad tablet, but from day 1, 1 year ago, the minute you turn the tablet on, whether your using it or not, the battery is quickly draining. If I don’t use it al all, 100% charge, but not plugged up, it is completely dead the next day. It’s constantly unresponsive, but I’ve figured out that you have to use the back button to go back to the last page to get it to respond. It won’t stay in landscape mode when watching movies or tv, especially with Hulu. Now it makes this chime when constantly like I just powered it on. It’s been an annoying tablet all around, but I still get limited use from it. Thank God it was cheap on a Black Friday special.
I want to get the 8 for my daughter and myself (but for myself I only really want it as a cheaper Echo Show - basically a fancy alarm clock). Will it be any good to watch films on (the Fire 8) for my daughter please?
I bought the Fire10 in the black friday sales at 90 GBP, I have connected up a bluetooth keyboard which works perfectly. I side loaded Google play which isn't complicated at all, took me less than 2 minutes (*see andriod police article), please not you can't download all apps on the google play store but the overwhelming majority you can, for example, you can't download netflix on Play but can on the amazon store. I would highly reccomend at 90 quid, 150 off sale is a little bit steep however. Battery life is fantastic, the processor is quick, Runs games like Among us, FM21 ect. I have used Microsoft office on this works fine.
got an 8, was able to see and feel them at my local Amazon Physical store, the 8 is more fitting for the portability and getting the plus version is better for that more speed with the ram plus havign full HD isn't a huge deal I'm not going to be watching a lot or maybe occasionally along with some games and reading
I like that your voice is easy to understand. This is a cool review as I'm updating from the previous Fire 10"and I'm wondering if the new 2019 version is a worthwhile upgrade, or should I wait for a Fall/Winter version of the 10" (fingers crossed)???
Great video. I have multiple devices and have found my fire HD 10 is great for messaging and UA-cam ECT. Unless you are needing a tablet for business then get an ipad which is much more powerful.
Hey Chris! Enjoyed your videos that you have been making on the Fire tablets. I did have two HD8s and noticed one screen was markedly better than the other, the better one was bluer and one was very yellow and washed out.
@@Cryptech1010 Actually, you don't need to root your tablet to side-load Google play and get rid of all amazon-related bloatware. Also, Fire Toolbox makes things sooooo easy that you don't even have to copy anything.. the tool will do everything for you!

I've had the 7,8 and 10. The 8 is much handier when traveling and just better in your hand when using it. It's all a preference but I really like the 8.
Thanks for this awesome comparison. I am trying to decide and most of it comes down to size and if I'll be annoyed carrying around the 10" or prefer it. Great presentation! :)
We actually have all 3 sizes. I find the HD8 is probably the best for reading books and doing general tasks like watching UA-cam. The HD10 is the one I use to watch movies and videos from Amazon. The Fire 7 is kind of useless, although it might be good for a child.
From my experience, reading PDF files from the low resolution one is just annoying.. If you plan on reading PDF files, I would highly recommend a FHD screen. The 10.1inch model has a way sharper text. Even though in 3:51 said that "the difference in screen size means there's not a huge difference in clarity" but believe it or not, the difference is noticeable and you'll definitely feel a bit annoyed by a HD screen even if it is 8".
