- Today's video is quickly (in less than 4 minutes) explaining only 20 the confirmed DCS planes. Now, this only includes those that have been confirmed by Eagle Dynamics. And if there are any more that you know of, Make sure to leave a comment, I'm genuinely curious whats coming to the simulator.
PLEASE NOTE, There seems to be some errors with my speaking and just not being able to read (lol). If you have any doubts, make sure to check the comments, where people have thankfully corrected my errors.
Please note, In the original video (before youtube editing took place) I accidentally say GR1 instead of IDS for the Tornado near the end of the video. This was a mistake.

Maybe Kfir, but that is literally the only one and only if it costs $10. Otherwise zero. I'm sick and tired of these highly inflated prices. Haven't bought since 2020, when ED ramped prices crazily and removed regional prices on Steam. That's where I called it quits...

@@jamesrothwell8693 Nah, would like another group to push the limits, maybe bring something uniquely brilliant of their own. They make decent modules but we also need to spread the wealth and have others bring greatness.

yup... that's one I am definitely looking forward to.
My favourites future releases are the F-8 Crusader, F-104 Starfighter and MiG-23 "Flogger", what is missing is an EE Lightning!
They should have a Ki84 to go with that F6F and F4U.. . . at the very least. And not an obsolete A6M just because F6Fs were still getting a steady diet of those after '43. I wonder if they'd let those Homare 45s have some high octane AvGas, lol. Probably not. You'd be lucky to get 92 octane if they were keeping it real i guess.

I've managed to use UA-cam's primitive editor to remove the mistake, hopefully avoiding more confusion.

I'm most excited for the OH-58 but it's also one I'm incredibly nervous about. I'm primarily interested in Cold War aircraft and everything I've seen looks as though it'll be a very late post Cold War version of the OH-58 being added to DCS.
The A-6 Intruder is my next most anticipated aircraft along with the F-4 Phantom. I was psyched for the MiG-23 right up until I saw it was the air superiority version, at which point my reaction went to "meh." Beyond that I've got a general interest in most of the Cold War aircraft bar the F-104 and G.91
I vaguely recall seeing a rumour that an SU-17 was in the works along with the English Electric Lightning, both of which I'd be very eager to fly.

F-4U Corsair was anounced ages ago, it was seen flying back in Dec 2019. It is pretty much ready to go now, I think they are just waiting on ED's WW2 Marianas and PTO package
The helichoppers - Chinook, Kiowa. And the Mig-23 and LA-7. Not that I like Vatnik planes, but I do want something other than US warbirds to fill out the roster.

SUPER SURPRISED no Japanese ZERO A6M. Literally a whole 1/2 of WWII isn't being covered. Sure, the US Navy Hellcat and Corsair but who they gonna fight, themselves?
From an historic point of view, I agree. But given the US warbirds are or are gonna be mid-late war, I'm not sure the poor zero is gonna be much of a contender. As mentioned elsewhere, a ki-84 would be nice, although god knows where anyone will get reasonable data on it. Or to get the contrasting fight styles, an A7M? I don't think there were many of those so probably even harder to get info on. Either way, I'd be satisfied with a zero. I do believe we are getting an AI version. Alternatively, if someone does make an A6m, it would be nice to also get a Wildcat or P40 as balance.

Sad to say, given the utter shtshow that DCS has become, I doubt that many of these planes will ever be launched. So wanted Skyraider and Mig17.

May i ask as to where the announcement of a Tornado GR1 is coming to DCS? I am aware of the IDS variant, but a GR1??? By eck, an actual British aircraft... For DCS..? O.o
Yea, this is a error that passed through my editing, gonna fix it the second I get a chance. Apparently my source wasn’t correct on the variant (it quoted GR1) when in actuality it is the IDS. Sorry about any confusion.
My source was Stormbirds.blog, for most of the aircrafts, I had double checked it, I just apparently didn’t for the Tornado.
@@avun No worries, I just got super excited thinking that Just Flight were porting their Tornado over to DCS and I hadn't heard about it :) What we really need is the H.S. Buccaneer, preferably the S.2B...

I'd originally intended to include it, But there hasn't been any news about it since may 2023, when they said it would be released in the following months. (I am aware of the music video released September 2023, but this only further confused me while trying to find details about it's status)
From this, I honestly just presumed it had already been released and just... Didn't check.

Apologies about that. I realize now I might have mistaken the pre-order announcement as the original announcement when writing dates into my script, This date was being off Eagle Dynamics announcement back in Nov 3rd 2023, (www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/2023-11-03/). I apparently just didn't notice this original announcement lol (forum.dcs.world/topic/291775-announcing-the-f-4-phantom-for-dcs-world/).
