Soon as u rode up the nicest part of the 92 is those nicely anodized blue fork tubes they really set the bike off and give it that factory race look....

The kept getting better untill about '97-'98 then they just went full lame on the graphics.
I'm sorry but these colors and graphics are fucking disgusting. And the plastics shapes are no where near as nice as the new bikes . But it's a badass bike . I would get a new aluminum frame and swap it over and then it would be perfect .
@@letsgobrandon5622 Those neon colors were the thing in the early 90’s. I was gonna buy a KX 500 in 92 but the pink graphics turned me away lol. I could have just changed them but… nah. It had hot pink on the seat! I just couldn’t understand why you would put hot pink graphics on a KX 500.. lol
Had a 85 KX 500 an it was a Monster! I weighed a buck an a quarter back in the day and would fly like you did. 2nd gear was always wanting to flip me so easy. Love the 500 S/S 2 Stroke.

Watched Larry Roeseler on one of those in Adelanto, CA in 91 or 92. Couldn’t believe how fast he’d go through sage brush and 4’ sand whoops.
My 2001 KX250 sounded like that with a diesel mechanical clack and slap. My son has it now.

I had a 96 kx500 i loved it
When I think of this bike I think of the KAWASAKI race of champions where I got to see my riding hero Ron Lechine and Jeff Ward ride at englishtown...both of those guys so smooth Ron and Jeff both riding those big whoops at E town not even moving on the bike. they so good on those factory suspension I was really amazed how Lechine didn't even look like he was doing nothing over these big whoops he was just using the power and the clutch to float over all of it he got stuck on the 500cc and Wardy got to ride the 250cc...after practice I was over at the Kawi pit tent...and ward say track is rough...no it ain't know California high way sonny...I just laughed the rougher the better what's motocross without big whoops and rough terrain.
My generation only rode two strokes, And we don’t change for anyone. 😆👍
Ok Boys , this one Had the Most Reduced Power of all KX500's.. Bearly 59hp .. My Older 1988 C1 KX500 was sadly the Last off the Full Raw Power that KX Produced an It was 64hp on the Back Wheel which Made some Very Fun days Riding it lol .. Thankyou God For KX500's

Lessons Learned.. Keep your bikes stock trimmed and clean.... Stock is definitely the most desired bike, I believe myself..

I don't really know how other 500cc two strokes were but I have heard the fear of them but I was able to borrow and race a 1992 KX 500 and was tentative at first but quickly realized Kawasaki was real intelligent with the power delivery on this bike and I lied I was actually riding two 500s a 1991 and 1992 some thing was wrong with the power valve on the 91 so I took the forks off of it and put them on the 1992 because some one tampered with modifying the forks but the 1992 was a very user friendly bike it started without to much trouble was a holeshot machine my friends hated me for that and it shifted and handled like a 125cc KX which I had just been riding and I was by no means a 500 rider but if want a good bike this year KX was awsum I really enjoyed getting holeshots on it which I do on any bike but this just made it easy...ok Kap shameless plug hah hah love seeing all these old bikes thanks ...oh yeah I forgot I was rode racing and sold my 750 in winter time which is dum up north...in the sale I told my friend give that 1981 YZ 465 over there too u cheap bustard u...when I got that home I ran a hare scramble on it at Walden playboy club motorcross track,beat all my friends on all their husky with there skinny bars,And then wouldn't talk to me ever again,when I sold the bike the two guys who came to buy it didn't care to ride it because it was too much so I did what a beast it never let the front wheel stay on the ground absolutely refuse too...I just laughed u should seen the looks on their faces when I was flying around the yard on the back wheel.....when I brought it over for them to load it I jokingly asked one more time if they wanted to ride it before they bought it and I got two no s and they just laughed. And I said ok your loss cowards skallywags....

Hey Tyler ur stole Roy Turner jacket team manager,hey looks like papa Laroocco,hah hah hi thanks that bike is sweet its a shame most people are scared if a 500 because this bikes is absolutely a great bike to ride I was too till I got offered by track owner an new track sponser to ride both their bikes someone fiddle with the power valve on the 91 so I ended up racing the 92....holeshot after holeshot after holeshot it did not feel like I was on a 500 that was the best part i still was learning two strokes believe or not so the 500 helped with my lazy throttle arm....very smooth and plenty of power and mine was wore out....THANKS.....

I'm almost positive we are related . also fkyaaa the monster THE KX500 . mine was an 85 blew my knee out the second month I had it then almost killed the neighbor kid when he accidently got behind me when I was on it. I told him ... Whatever u do don't get behind me. Doh .

Funny thing was after I trade in for brand new 97 kx250 people were looking for that bike like I won the nations with it or something....it was a holeshot machine and that's always fun when u race when u no u are gonna get out classed by more experience d friends when u hole shot them ever time.....doooooiiighh please stand by we are experience ing operating diffricultys,like a lazy shift foot...hah hah
