when ringo said “i like hanging out with you guys” i almost cried
Where?😄
@@ayazzzzzzz 8:47
Hell I cried when I saw this comment
Yes it was very touching.
and george said @ 8:26 :'
during the get back sessions when george decided to leave the band, it was caught from a hidden mic when paul said to john "And probably when we're all really old we'll all agree with each other and we'll all sing together." It's heartbreaking that john didn't get to join this reunion.
I HEARD THAT TOO IT’S SO SAD
It's quite ironic that he happened to say that to the one member who would die before the reunion.
😢
He also said at that time that they will look back in 50 years and laugh that George left because Yoko was sitting on an amp.
I heard one of three survivors say in an interview, maybe at the time of this video, that "Yes, the Beatles would definitely have got back together by now if John was still alive."
These guys should form a group.
I don't see they would get far...
Yea but i feel like something’s missing
@@tillingspoon1592 yea a four piece would be better
@@muttlee9195 someone like a John perhaps?
@@kyleehyo4797 yea that would have a ring to it John Paul George and Ringo ❤️
I got really emotional when George said ”We’ll see for the next 40 years”
He actually said "I don't have to see you for the next 40 years" which is very sad
@@vermilion584 Yep, you're actually right but I think he was joking (I do hope so haha)
@@Mrthecrafter162 he was damn serious
And to think he only lived another 7 years.
It's hilarious that George was known as "the quiet Beatle" yet he always seemed to talk more than anyone in the room.
Ringo looks so happy playing with George and Paul.
I love how George and Paul just have a certain chemistry performing together. They naturally harmonize, Paul has such a good sense of melody, and George of course is a genius guitarist, with an instantly recognizable style.
Even after so many years apart, they sound just as great as they always did 30+ years beforehand
They’re all Beatles. They all loved each other like family. They all had an uncanny chemistry.
George was a true Piscean
okay just leave out ringo I got ya
@@Schizniit They’ve also known each other since 14,15 years old
Doesn't matter if Paul is playing for 50,000 people or five, he's putting it out there with gusto. Born to perform.
George Harrison was simply on another level
Hahaha I was thinking the same thing about Ringo...
@@kroakie4 Paul was the bass player.
😅 Oh yeah, he was, wasn’t he?
@@kroakie4 😕
George reigns supreme, couldn't have happened w/o him!🎸🇬🇧
This just feels weird not seeing John Lennon there with them jamming, relaxing and reminiscing like he should. There’s always the “what if” question in my head
I don’t know, based on the documentary John would’ve been late, with Yoko and pretty bored
@@Renzo8375867 you forgot to factor in that people change with time. John would've been a more enlightened and wise individual if he was still alive. He would've had time to face his issues and grow as a person, and by this time, he would've jammed with the others like when they were young.
If John never died they definitely would’ve reunited before George passed. Guaranteed
Think that John would be too occupied with himself to do something like this…was he humble enough to just be kind?
I saw a video on UA-cam where John said that he was thinking of reuniting with the beatles, or at least jam with them. It was within a year or two before his death.
Imagine being the cameraman for this and being in the same room with the beatles
I don't know, that sounds pretty sus
I know Right!!!
I think it’s quite clear that, of the three of them, George is the one who’s least comfortable with being constantly filmed. It seems like whenever he’s irked, the fact that he can’t go through it privately because of the cameras makes it worse for him. Most of us would probably feel quite similarly in his place.
Give him a ukulele and a nice garden to sit in though and the rest of the world disappears, it’s magical. 😄😁
Paul would probably sing for the cameras all day if you let him - and you could provide him with an indefatigable band to bounce off.😄
Ringo just seems to love being around them regardless, they’re his brothers.🙂✌️
George had also this "serious" face expression. You can't tell if he's really pissed or not.
I agree. George keeps looking dead at the camera during the performance like he's irritated that it's there. He'll be smiling and enjoying himself one second and then his face turns to stone when he spots the camera and remembers it's there.
Well look at it philosophically. When George was a WILBURY it was George who had to go on as he called it "these dopey interviews" because Bob Dylan had a 'no interview" clause in his Wilbury contract.
For being the youngest, George turned out to be the oldest.
They look like 3 regular looking guys hanging out playing music, chatting, but 30 years before they were in the biggest band on the planet.
they look so much happier in this longer version.. the sorter edit makes them seem disinterested.
and thank you!
1:14 If I know my Beatles history correctly, they’re basically playing the first song they ever played together! “Raunchy” was the song George played to audition for the group when Paul introduced him to John in 1958!
thank you for that, I didn't know that
Awesome! Good to know this!
I think you're right! George played it to them all on the back of the bus as a sort of audition. Must have been funny for them all playing that after all those years.
@@ParkaMonkey1994 I think the bus part was just part of the movie nowhere boy lol
@@anthonymitchell9866 I'm fairly sure Paul talks about it in Living in a Marerial world, the Martin Scorsese doc
If they did a World Tour in 95’ it would’ve been the biggest tour in human history. They would’ve sold stadiums in every continent.
And with modern PA equipment everyone would have been able to actually hear their music
Just hopefully no lip-syncing this time... and that's not even bashing on my Beatles. I love my Beatles; but that was a fact of the matter at the time. The promoters didn't want artist to sing on stage. I think the Beatles sang Live on The Ed Sullivan show and that's it. Back then it was all about seeing your music idols live and entertain by appearance. NOW the Beach Boys did play live consistently the reason for that I'm not positive. But if somebody can light me on that one why did Beach Boys sung live a lot of the times that be awesome to tell me
@@vondeppe9739 so you think the majority of Beatles concerts were not live vocals or weren't live at all for the audio? As a guitarist and bassist to my eyes and ears it didn't seem like that
@@weebgrinder we'll see that's the thing The Beatles never really performed live before they broke up in April 1970. The 70s is when concerts really started to become what we know of what concerts are today the 70s is all about concerts and the Beatles missed it
Yes I believe so too but ultimately even Paul said I'll tell you who broke up the Beatles it was John things change John had a family he didn't want to be known as just a beetle there's a lot of different variables but Yoko certainly didn't help
The car story where Ringo crashed and George kept driving was priceless 😂
Devin Jerry Love it when Ringo looks at George, laughs, then says to George "You just didn't give a damn!" LOL
Ringo's rhythm and playing is perfect. Just pay attention to the way he enters each song. He probably didn't even remember those songs, but he just gets in so perfect each time.
muscle memory.
I like to think the camera is John Lennon's eyes watching his fellow Beatles playing and he being there with them.
RIP John Lennon 1940-1980
RIP George Harrison 1943-2001
That’s a cool way of looking at it !!
Paul looks like he's having the time of his life.
the "quiet Beatle' certainly has the most beautiful voice when speaking.
Yes.
My appreciation for the Beatles grows stronger every day.
same when I was younger heavy metal was what I listened too but the older I got the more I dig their music!! Never knew the range of their talents including seeing their studio work
Same here man
Over the years I have grown from finding them a corny 60’s band to total geniuses
Welcome to the party gentleman
A crazy group of events that formed lads from Liverpool into the most influential band in the universe! 😮
It’s cool how their chemistry together never faded
7:52 George chimes in with his signature vocal harmony and I got chills on my arms.
Holy shit that insane rare McLaren F1 at the start! Paul "Nice motorrr... nice motor.".
And Ayrton Senna in his McLaren on the wall!

Yes I was thinking that the lawn looks very '94
George and Paul together on ukuleles is too awesome
I agree! I also love Ringo drumming on his knees with them! Lol
George and Billy.
Ringo really love his bandmates when he said I love hanging out with you guys and I wonder how much he miss John
I love how Ringo just knew when to play 😍 2:59
I’m not a musician but I can’t for the life of me understand why anyone would criticize Ringo. He plays the drums like it’s the most natural thing in the world. It’s like they’re just an extension of his body. It looks so easy but it sounds fantastic.
It’s like the Get Back sessions 25 years later! Just plow through some old songs. With considerably less smoking! 😀
Paul quit smoking for good around 1980. Ringo shortly thereafter.
Ringo is 80 and Paul is 79 today and they both show no signs of slowing down.
George sadly never quit and contracted throat cancer at 58 in 2001.
If that doesn’t tell you if you don’t smoke, don’t start, and if you do, quit, nothing does.
@@joe6096 I agree. Sadly I feel John likely would have suffered the same horrible end as George, had he survived the shooting. I’m guessing John must have gone through 3-4 packs a day.
The fact that they always jam over the same oldies they used to love back when they were teenagers is very moving.
It's the same for everybody. We all play enter sandman, smoke on the water or any other song like that when we are just jamming with friends!
"I felt like I was meeting Vishnu." ❤ Their humor, ease, commaradery is AMAZING.
Chemistry sure changed from the 60s. Used to be Paul & John competing with each other while George & Ringo stayed out of the way. Here it was 3 old friends hanging out with mutual respect.
Sad to see the awkwardness at first, with George asking for "...the short version" and Ringo looking at his watch, but nice to see them more relaxed later, reminiscing over a cup of tea.
0:47
Paul: "I'm gonna hold this note until you smile, George....that's more like it!"
I love how Paul was mesmerized watching George on the ukulele
john will always be missed.
As will George.
If only John was there curse you Mark David Chapman.
@@jamarkusholcomb516 He doesn't his name to be mentioned in a UA-cam comment. That's how vile he is
He doesn't deserve his name*
It's really fascinating to see that their irreplaceable musical compatibility never went away even after decades of not playing together. You can see it very subtly when they were playing old songs in the back room, Ringo instinctively knew when to speed up/ slow down even though he's never properly heard the song Paul and George were goofing around with before. In the park when Paul sang Ain't She Sweet with George on the ukulele, he purposefully entered some verses late because he knew what George was doing with the style (making it a jazzy, laid back one) stopping for George to play the last ascending crescendo before ending with the last "ain't she sweet" for the song. George took the lower harmony instinctively, and knew exactly which part to come in. This was all done without verbal communication, and why Paul himself said it's impossible to replicate that perfect music 'atuneness' to each other, simply because the 3 of them basically grew up playing together since they were 17, they knew each other's every single musical thoughts. What a remarkable musical partnership the beatles were!
I have to imagine there’s no one they all felt more comfortable around than each other, because they were the only ones who experienced what they did together. No one else besides the three (plus John) knew what it was like to be a Beatle. What they created together were countless masterpieces. There have been other great bands, but none that I can think of that have created as many memorable tracks. It all ended far too soon.
considering how much great music theyd made and the terrible attitudes that existed in 69, it didnt end too soon. it had run its course
People saying where’s John? He’s there, sitting next to them with a cup of tea as well.

They could have gone as a trio easily, If they’d wanted to. The three of them singing all together sounds fabulous. It’s a shame Ringo doesn’t sing much with his fellow Beatles.
"Carry That Weight" and the guitar-based outtake of "Good Night" (as well as the coda of Paul's "Beautiful Night") are precious to me for that very reason. A really special effect.

FOR THE BEATLES & ALL MEMORIES
"THANKYOUJESUS"
I could watch 50 hours of them reminiscing
George is so honest and humble. I like how he takes the piss out of Paul. George, Paul and Ringo I can tell misses being in a band together.
George is playing the guitar riff (Raunchy) that got him into the Beatles.
I love George telling them about his Elvis story & how he went total fanboy when Elvis shook his hand....lol. You can see the genuine love & friendship they have towards each other. Its a shame john isn't there with them. I believe this is some of the footage from the anthology special that aired on ABC when they did the 3 anthology releases. My mom was a Beatles fan and it was a big deal at the time.
I've been a fan ever since.
What aired on ABC on Thanksgiving of 1995 was barely 5 hours or so (with commercials) of the full 9 hour unedited Anthology series that was first on VHS on Christmas of 1995 then re-released in 2003 on DVD with additional footage and a behind the scenes disc on how they made Anthology. If you’re any level of Beatles fan you owe it to yourself to get the DVD set.
9:00 seeing the poster of Ayrton Senna on the wall behind Ringo, and realizing that he had died just a month or so before this was filmed 😢😢😢
What I love most about the boys, is that by this point, there wasn’t an artist in the world who had not in some way been influenced, borrowed from, or tried to build upon the beautiful music that flowed from their minds. They could walk about with an air or ego that no one could match. Yet at their root, they still remain those same humble meager-beginnings kids who have grown past desiring celebrity, and are at a stage where time spent reminiscing with friends and plucking old skiffle songs means more than any fame they’ve earned. Beautiful souls….all of them.
This one is great viewing after watching The Beatles Get Back Trilogy. Nice to see the group dynamics and interaction while making timeless music or just recalling good times All Those Years Ago. They enjoy each others company. The Beatles are forever.
George Harrison in past interviews says he doesn’t remember the Beatles days and it was a blur but remembers the songs they made when they first became a band
Maturing is realizing how beautiful of a human ringo is.
I'm not a hateful guy. I don't have hate in my heart for anyone, but Mark David Chapman really does draw a lot of hatred from me. I don't like feeling that way.

You said it Matt. I thought the exact same thing when I first saw this.
everyone who's seen Peter Jackson'sget back documentary, go and watch this. nigh 25 years on and the music still holds them together even w*out John.
Ringo was on another level... brilliant drummer.
He’s left handed and played a right handed kit. I don’t know if that’s still the case, but it certainly is part of why he’s got such a distinct style.
The basic level. Ringo is THE luckiest drummer in the world. A monkey could do what he did in that band.

This was so good for us fans, we needed to see these guys hanging out and having a good time. At least I did
I like how specific they are when reminiscing about old times
i never enjoyed people talking for a few minutes this much 😂
I love the informality of it! It’s been 29 years…
George's McLaren F1 is just so beautiful
It wasn’t actually his one in this video. It was one he borrowed from McLaren as his one hadn’t finished being built yet.
People are hating on Paul and how much he talks, but that's probably why he's my favorite! I'm a chatty extrovert too lol we're not trying to be rude, it's just how we are. Love them all though! ❤ everyone else seems to be watching up all the Beatles UA-cam videos after watching Get Back like me! Lol
"Raunchy" starts this clip. They've always said the fact the Harrison could play "Raunchy" was what convinced them to bring him into the band in the 1950's.
The distance of time between then and the Beatles being together is the same as this recording and now 😢
25 does not equal 29.
Ill never get tired of the greatest band of all time
It's so awesome to see these guys just hangin out and reminence about the Beatle days. It makes me happy but I feel sad too because of no John. Imagine the conversation had he been there. These guys were brothers.

There’s must something magic when these guys get together. They sounded perfect playing together. If only John could have joined them.
That ukulele playing by George was just awesome.
They were still so tight after all those years ago! Unreal how several geniuses collided in one group.
It's cool how George spontaneously played "I Will" on ukulele even though he didn't partake in the original Beatles recording on THE WHITE ALBUM. :)
I like when they are talking in the living room, because there is a painting on the wall by Ayrton Senna from Brazil.
yes, George was a racing cars collector.

This is exactly half way between Sgt. Pepper and this day.
I can feel the 90s vibes right now! Miss the 90s!
I had no idea these guys got together in 1994.
They passed the audition!
This video made me happy and sad at the same time!
They can bring me to tears easier than almost any one thing or artist ever
beginning is more like an episode of Top Gear - Harrison is James May, obviously
6:50, George completely ignores Paul's question. Probably just George being a little engrossed in the song they were playing, but still, a strange moment.
The only Beatle I can see is the same is Ringo . I love you man
Fr Ringo never changed . You can just tell
In my own opinion, i think the last member of "The Beatles" to die was Ringo Starr because even though he was the oldest of the entire members of "The Beatles" he was the youngest old man living in this world. You'd think that even though he's 81 years old now, he only looks like he's in his 50's, his hair still doesn't turn white, so I'll know exactly who will be the next to pass away with Paul McCartney.
That cover of blue moon is amazing just leaves me speechless
This amazing footage brings tears into my eyes!
Ok I’ve got to chisel the smile from my face for a couple of reasons. I just watched the last 3 gentleman who changed music for generations and they weren’t trying to act as if they hadn’t gone in different directions. They simply enjoyed their time together. It’s a tragedy that John Lennon was not able to join them if he wanted. The other and the smile became bigger is at the end when they started talking about Elvis Presley. They were fans and to hear George Harrison say paraphrasing“ I wanted to tell him to put on his jeans and sing right near the end “. Staggering.
