been watching others do machine work and one of them uses thick steel plate for making disks simulair to the ones you made for this machine, it think its eazier to find drop off pieces of steel plates (plasma cutter shipyard) compared to finding pieces of round stock you do make it look like its within my reach to make these things myself
Copy my project and you will not regret it! Do not listen to those who say that the disk made with printed sheets is not accurate! if you have a good hand and a well-pointed burin you can certainly get a great result. But if you have to build a ROLEX only in this case you are authorized to doubt this system ;-)
@@capto8784 i have a actual divider wheel so i can drill those holes pretty acurate its the vertical slide / spindexer idea itself that switched the lightbulb on i was planning on building a toolgrinder / surfacegrinder based of the crosstable from a bf20 that tool placed on top of the crosstable under the grinder would realy help grinding cutters and i can mount the grinder solidly to the post (can raise the workpiece instead ) yes i seen youre idea of place the grinding disk in the lathe but i'm not sure i want to expose the ways on my new lathe to the abrasive , if i could find a cheap used lathe i wouldnt hesitate

This is awesome in all aspects! Is there a video of you mounting this tool and using it? Also might you have any info on the face mill you showed yourself using on the body of the unit in the video? I was wanting to purchase one for my lathe for squaring up surfaces.
