Just 1 more… I was shelling in the Padre National Seashore at Corpus Christi, TX this weekend and I said just 1 more until it was too dark to see and then had a two hour drive through soft sand to get back to civilization. 😂 And it’s Kemp Ridley nesting season so low beams only and 15 mph speed limit. The sand was gnarly in spots, but my little AWD SUV handled it pretty well. I managed to get through without getting stuck. I found 3 sundials in excellent condition and a dozen more that were worn and busted. Mine are probably about half the size of yours, though. And I found enough broken pieces of Bonnies to make at least 3 of them, lol, but none of them fit together. Still, for TX beaches, I was pretty happy. I got two small but gorgeous shark eyes in pristine condition and a beautiful lightning whelk that has a little chipping on the aperture but it is really beautiful and otherwise perfect. It was well worth the sandy drive in the dark, but you had me giggling at the “just 1 more shell” 😂
Hoping to get out there soon. Making a project for my parents’ 35th anniversary & im wanting to use shells & sand from Navarre, as that’s where they got married 35 years ago. Fingers crossed for a good day whenever I do go 🤞🏻
Hello, great video! My wife and I go to Navarre once or twice a year and we have never seen this many shells in all the times we have been there! Can you tell me where this was in Navarre and can you recommend some places to find shells in Navarre? Thanks!
Thanks for watching. Depending upon the tides and the weather, some days you can find shells from the east end all the way into the National Seashore. Be mobile and willing to walk a few miles everyday :).
We are vacationing in FWB for baseball. Came down to Navarre on Sunday but didnt find much. May try again. Really want some Florida shells to add to my Atlantic collection. Did find one small flat and am super pumped!
I think every time you picked up a shell you would say "and a flat" lol.. flats are some of my favorite shells lol!! look at all the shells on this beach!!! Amazing!! You have on a fleece i think but was wondering 2 questions.. was it cold when this was filmed?? And is Nevarah Beah on one of the countless islands in FL? or is it on the main land in FL??
Every day is different as the shells come and go with the waves and the tides. However, beaches will always have shells; sometimes they are up high, sometimes they are in wrack lines, and sometimes you find them underwater in the riffles.
Thanks for watching 😁. Sand colors vary with the weather. While the Emerald Coast is known for it's sugar sands, I have seen varying colors depending upon the day. Since we had a thunderstorm yesterday today's sand was dark with mixed granules. Walking thousands of miles you would be surprised at how the beach varies from day-to-day. Have a great week.

It sounds funny to me to hear a man say, one more shell. Lol
Lol. Can you imagine shelling 7 months in a row and hearing me say, " just one more shell". 🤯
Seems like you don’t have much luck scooping ever.
🤣
Navarre beach sand is white not where you are
