3:50 brilliant foreshadowing.
Thanks for the great reaction and discussion. Beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to edit and react and all that. Please keep it up.
What a lovely reaction 😊
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it 😌
THE BEST MOVIE EVER!
I love the beach off scene, the fact that when they first roll up the ken’s are doing their best to look like they are in slow-mo.
One of the best scenes in the movie 🤣
Loved this movie. I’m 60 and thought it was brilliant. The Holdovers, Past Lives and American Fiction should be watched before the Oscars coming up this Sunday.
Oh yes I definitely need to check those out!
How cool to have "your own" doll! 😁💖
Great reaction! Thank you!
I really love that mini rock opera of the Kens! As a mother of two sons, I find it really touching under all the thick layers of goofy. The bonding at the end. Like women were jealous of each other, fighting over the men, until feminism made us* unite and help each other out instead.
* at least many of us. 😬😛
what a delightful reaction to such a delightful film. you are delight Stephen. thank you for really going all the places the film can take you. BARBIE is saying such gorgeous things about humanity, really. this is the miracle genius work of greta gerwig and Margot Robbie. anyone who thinks this film is anti-male or woke or any of the other labels insecure people are trying to call this film is just ridiculous. give us a break! please! it is so refreshing to see so many men see this film, get this film, understand this film, and love this film. I am a 56 year old gay man. who wanted a barbie so badly as a little boy. alas, I was in the Bible Belt of the midwest in the early 1970's, so it wasn't going to happen. and would have thought some 50 years later, BARBIE the movie would make me laugh so hard, delight me so incredibly, and move me so deeply? amazing! thanks for posting. I liked and subscribed. your take on all of this is right on. inspiring and very cool!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the reaction! Thank you for sharing your story as well, it’s wonderful to see how much of an impact this movie had on you. And it’s never too late to get that Barbie that you want 😄
@@stephensuniverse I know. I know. don't think I haven't been looking online. it ain't over til it's over. thanks again.
Ps. And thanks for the after talk! Always interesting.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Other than the impossible fighting skills, I'm Allen.
She almost laughs when he says "sublime" because on every take he would make up something different. ua-cam.com/video/ru1LC9lW20Q/v-deo.html
Gosling has a huge range of characters, much more diverse than Margot Robbie.
Ryan Gosling planned the entire "I'm JUst Ken" presentation at the Oscars and planned it after Marilyn Monroe's Diamonds are a Girls Best friend from Gentlemen Prefer Blonds, ua-cam.com/video/fo6T5BwxFh0/v-deo.html
