- The ruins is considered the most dangerous place in Don't Starve, and while it's a great place to get useful loot it's not really good for anything else. In this video I'll be trying to see if I can survive 100 days there without leaving or dying.

Easier way to get earthquakes is to just hit a slurtle with a torch, the explosion is stronger so it causes them more often. You can also grow crops with a star caller staffs light but it's probably a bit pointless. I'm sure this info is suuuper useful to know now!
i did figure it out with the slurtle mounds, but like i said in the video i needed a lot of earthquakes to get all the rabbots, and there wasn't more than 5 slurtle mounds iirc so it was better for me to make it renewable even if it'll take a bit longer. also i didn't know the thing with the star caller staff, thank you for that
@@cursorjustvanished Naw you hit the snails themselves with a torch, they catch fire and blow up! Each snail explosion is worth like 6x a slime explosion but of course you don't get the chance at the armour if you do that

I think id personally just mine the stalagmites sicne they gont chance to drop gold. Also a star caller staff makes the crops grow, as well as fireflies, wickerbottoms light book and willows fire ball. I think also getting from surface pig houses and cones would be nice, as well as stone fruit if possible.

i love this challenge though i will say i think you should’ve based in the ruins cuz honestly it felt more like 100 days in a cave challenge nonetheless an enjoyable video hope to see more
honestly yeah i did make it easier for myself than i needed to
but also i didn't, because i was still in a place where there are almost no resources and if i wanted to get anythimg useful i would still have to risk my life

the prep is a lot easier if you're going there for 2 days instead of living there, but i could probably do it in 5 days now that i know what i actually need and what i don't

Actually you can. You need one Wilson and a Wendy. Clear the guardian. Secure finished station. Get a starcallers staff. Bouns points if you killed dragonfly for furnace. During winter put up pillar.kill monkeys during nightmare cycle and farm the singular pig you brought down. Subside off off of banana shake meatballs and Wilson's transmutation

technically you can also get ruins loot from sea chests, but nobody does that because ocean sucks and it's very rng dependent
