Repotting is also therapeutic for me too. Most of the time I won’t record mine because of that I just like spending time with my plants. I am always interested to see people using LECA or PON and have a successful plant. Anytime I have tried I get root rot and the plant dies. 😢

For me, both LECA and Pon are good. It’s just that I noticed a little difference where my Hoyas in LECA roots and grows faster than ones in Pon. 😁

your plants are gorgeous. i love hoya too. i am moving all of my hoya to pon, may i ask why you prefer leca? also do you get algae in the bottom of those white self watering pots? i really like them, but wondered about the algae. thanks for this great video.
do you ever get mealie bugs? how can i prevent them? so far, i haven't had any but i do wash them down each month with the soap/hydrogen/alcohol treatment. they are all doing very well.

Thank you so much! Both LECA and Pon works. But comparing the two, I never had any root rot with LECA, but in Pon I have. I think it’s because Pon is more water retentive than LECA. ☺️ Algae is normal but I make it a habit to flush my plants once a week or bi-weekly to prevent it from happening.
I only had mealy bugs once and it was for a Monstera Thai Constellation. I use predator mites for prevention so that none of my plants can get pests.

I love your collection...watching from Colorado but I'm also from the Philippines...sorry but I'm just bothered/distracted by all the mess on the floor, specially the water (please wipe it down right away), worried it might warp/damage your flooring & it might sip through the gaps & cause molds😢...I would suggest you use a tray or a wide container when repotting😊
