I collect hot wheels and do a lil custom to them but mainly like switching the plastic wheels out for some rubber wheels (realriders). My favorite would be the squarebody chevy trucks. I like to go to Walmarts and Target hunting for new hot wheels, looking for those super treasure hunt.

I make hardwood furniture that I always give away as gifts to friends and family. Built my sister a Walnut dining room set. It would be over $10,000 if you tried to buy it at a store. Instead I cut the tree down, milled it, dried it, and made something beautiful out of it.

I like what you did with the Hot Wheels truck. I'm disabled and I build 125th scale model cars and trucks. I haven't found a 63 Chevy Stepside Pickup yet though. If you find one, I would be happy to detail it perfectly to your truck and build it. The closest I came was a 65 Chevy Stepside.

You could also have painted the hood the primer color first let dry then paint it white let dry then wet sanded some of the white to reveal the rust color underneath the white for that patina look.

Ive done car plastic an metal models for like over 20+yrs, 25 or more were done as required by the instructions, 30+ cars were customized in some form or another an some have custom kits to make them look more real as well but my most favorite ones are ones I chopped an streched an made look like nothing like it or for a better term, one of a kind, its fun.. Its a challange an its not expecive, if you keep it simple 😊
(Edit): the weirdest, is art in general, like tattooin, its a art form that hurts as it also is a very hard skill an you have to keep extremely clean at.. plus you have to have talent at doing it, youd never want anyones tattoo to look bad, your goal is to make a tattoo look like a masterpeace or you shouldnt do them & its not a cheap hobby by any means !0! 🤣👺😎
