BigManEDog Not just this one, he murdered a ton of people in the first one. He blew up a factory filled with goons, threw that one dude down the bell tower, and while the actual death seemed to be an accident, Batman *did* seriously threaten to kill the Joker.

The issue with calling something good 'gay' is that it isn't any different fundamentally than calling something bad 'gay'. Just consider what it would mean to call everything good 'Jewish' or everything good 'female'. It begs the question, "What of the others and why are they being excluded?" Frankly to raise any category of humanity above another and not by virtue of better behavior is bigoted - just of a different sort.

My brother is a huge batman fan, since he's 10 years older than me he would show me the old batman movies. I loved this one and the first one. Ive never watched these newer ones, I feel like they won't be all that.

My gay friends use "gay" to describe things that are shitty..... I think people put way too much stock in how words are portrayed. And words in general, for that matter.
Wow, it's interesting cause in class we've been going over Pascoe's "Dude, You're A Fag" and how the words "gay" and "faggot" have become terms used to call someone or something stupid, or to denote that a man is feminine (making faggot a derogatory term about genders, not homosexuality). So it'd be really cool to see like an entire population trying to change that, even if not starting in the GG fandom.

I like how they remember that Christopher Walken was in the movie, but forgot that his character's (last) name was Shreck
Little did they know, David Bowie wouldn't survive much longer after this episode...
The thin clown character was Doug Jones, and was one of the first characters to boost his career in acting for film. He could wrap his leg around his head, and impressed Burton and Danny off set which led to a bigger role. Check out some interviews. Amazing stuff.

Years ago, when I first met one of my closest friends, I showed him Labyrinth. He said he hated that movie, and I quote, "what was the deal with Billy Idol singing those crappy songs?" I have spent almost SEVEN years now, trying to wrap my head around how anybody could confuse David Bowie and Billy Idol. And yet, here you two have done it, and I'm sure I'm about to get a vindicated text from him.

Christopher Walken's character from "Batman Returns" was named Max Shreck. He's named after the real-life actor who played the title role in "Nosferatu."

Michael Keaton was actually the FIRST Batman to use a different voice as Batman than when he is Bruce Wayne. Not a drastically different voice, mind you, but it IS indeed different. This is most apparent in Returns when he is talking on the phone as Bruce Wayne while still in costume treating a wound he got from Catwoman.

Jesus the first two burtman where hardcore. Batman was a stone cold killer, he blew up a fuckin' factory full of people, intentionally lit someone on fire, smiled while throwing someone in a pit with a bomb, threw the joker off a chapel, ran someone over with the batmobile, drowned penguin after sending an army of penguins to blow him up, smacked a guys head against a bell and threw him of a building, broke a guys neck by kicking him threw a door and fell down a flight of concrete stairs, he fried a business man and probably much more - it was probably the most faithful batman on screen in terms of 30s/40s batman
this game is such a throwback to snes. i had the gray and purple one with a fucking power rangers game and a superman game and spiderman and tmnt and they were literally all the same game with different characters and settings. you stay in one screen-wide area, fuck up a bunch of ppl, then it says go with an arrow and lets you progress to do the same shit over and over. the only game that was really any different was the jurassic park game, considering it was more of an open world type, i guess. damn. it's honestly so amazing how much games have progressed from this to something like fallout 4, gta v, and even the mario games we have today.

sense both Shrek and and Chris Farley were mentioned in this episode, I feel I need to tell this story. Chris Farley was gonna be Shrek and had the majority of the film voiced before his untimely death and Myers came and changed things. On UA-cam there exists a video with Farley voicing Shrek and let me tell you it is MOVING. Myers took Shrek in the "oh look I'm a funny sounding oger laugh at me", but the film would have been drastically different with Farley. It focused on how Shrek felt like an Outcast and just wanted to be accepted and played on the emotions of being lonely and sad. Quite different to the Myers version. Personally, I was moved nearly to tears by that video, and think it shows how underrated Farley was and what a huge loss his death was. I highly encourage everyone to find that video and watch for yourselves!
