- This is the astonishing moment hundreds of starving wild monkeys scramble for a single piece of food because of the coronavirus outbreak.
The primates are normally well fed by tourists in the city of Lopburi, central Thailand, but visitors have plummeted because of the virus sweeping the world.
So when one of the primates had a juicy banana, the entire pack roaming around the streets surrounded the creature this morning (March 11) and tried to grab it.
Footage shows how hundreds of monkeys began tussling for the snack. When one of the animals fled with it, the creatures chased it up a grass bank.
Even locals who are used to seeing the creatures were shocked by their ferocity.
Onlooker Sasaluk Rattanachai captured the scene from outside a shop where she works.
She said: ''They looked more like wild dogs than monkeys. They went crazy for a single piece of food. I've never seen them this aggressive.
''I think the monkeys were very, very hungry. There's normally a lot of tourists here to feed the monkeys but now there are not as many, because of the coronavirus.''
Lopburi is home to thousands of wild monkeys that roam the streets and buildings. Many live on the grounds of the city's ancient Buddhist temples.
Last month it emerged that wild monkeys in Thailand were suffering because of the coronavirus causing tourist arrivals to plunge by 44 percent.
Primates living in a public park in Songkhla, southern Thailand, are usually well fed by visiting tourists from Malaysia and China.
However, the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus has all but stopped the arrival of tourists to the area, where they would normally feed the wild monkeys.
Kind locals stepped in on Tuesday (Feb 26) evening to give the monkeys fresh watermelons and tomatoes.

You use the known tried and proven methods of contacting your higher spiritual self, Soul and source God of course, Allah, different names same Being, [remember the divide and rule lesson, different "faiths" killing each other, everyone killing for God, and I ask you, is Lucifer/satan behind that?.]
Once you grasp lesson 3, using the correct drug,s, yoga, all the various systems, the path,s are many, Japa Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Raja Yoga, Kundalini Yoga[but do not try to awaken it, much spiritual and physical preparation is needed to prepare for its awakening]. Karma Yoga. This is obviously internal inner being "work" there's also the external, we have a deep connection with this planet on a physical level, NURTURE IT, it is DYING. When it Dies you Die.
Before moving to lesson 4 let me mention this, All the talk of disaster, end time days, Armageddon etc..Whatever lies ahead for this World will hit one and all, face it as one or all will fall.
4th lesson, Get rid of your Golden Rule!, Gold should not Rule your World. Take gold off your alter, stop worshipping materialism and valuing it above and beyond life, each other and Mother Earth. Replace it with the gifting system, everyone work's 20hrs a week to sustain society, with high technology and a sane approach to materialism it could be reduced. Add the H.I.P.P.I.E. Ideal, Help In Producing Peaceful Individual Existence. Your free to do whatever you want.
5th lesson, Having achieved the first 4 lesson,s you should now be starting to realise your deeper connection,s with each other and will be developing a spiritual strength and bond with one another, once you do this and reach "The critical point of no return", it will spread to the rest of Mankind.

To make this clear to any onlookers, feeding wild animals makes them depend on humans and humans are not dependable so the animals just die when we the humans stop feeding because their natural skills have atrophied or they do not live near an abundant food source.

If they were never fed in the first place, they would not be over populated. There is not enough natural food to support the large numbers. I hope some tourists know that if they try to feed wild animals that are starving let alone, hundreds of them, then they may get hurt or cause others to get hurt. I know that some people feel sympathy for the animals, but there is a high chance that if you feed those animals, then you may be put at risk of some of them attacking you for more food or if they feel threatened. Please do not feed the animals at these places. It is good to help sometimes but it can cause problems within those places you visit.
I agree with you 100%! Feeding water fowl is one thing; even if there are signs to not do so (angry, flying Canada geese are not as aggressive as hungry, wild monkeys). But monkeys are much more clever than that. And your average tourist doesn't always know any better. Some organizations feed them with boxfulls of healthy food. And I personally LOVE that!
