your field workers do not use your seeds, manure or tools they have their own endless supply, all you have to do is map out the area and then use the field management to select what you want them to grow you do not need to do anything else, if you want to grow crops yourself for the skill points do not use field management for that field and they will not touch it. also you can use unstuck for everyone not just you but roof campers too..
Quick tip putting resources into chests of workstations and buildings they are used in will make it so NPC's keep working. For instance sticks, stone, and logs in the smithy storage will keep the smithy working. Putting seeds and manure in the barn will keep farmer working. And placing food items like carrots and meat in food storage will keep everyone fed.
The peasantry in this game is lucky. In the middle ages, hunting big animals was a privilege of the aristocracy. I think it'd be interesting to see a game having a poacher system. You'd do it to fill your depleting pantry, with the risk of being caught and jailed by the local nobleman. At any rate, it'd make the game more challenging, mostly if farming harvest goes down due to dryness.

I read on Reddit that the farmers were bugged. Basically they aren't using any seeds from storage at all. Not sure if it's true or not, but that's what I read, anyway.
Once you have the ability to craft an iron shovel, do so asap. Using an iron shovel to dig lay pits gets you about twice as much clay as using a wooden shovel.
Love the series man. I think it would be nice to have a few benches and chairs around a fire for the community. A nice place to catch up on gossip before bed. Lol

When you added the manure all was good but when you ploughed it yourself, that clears what you assigned to the field which is why when you opened the manager half the field had lost what was supposed to be planted (the plots you had ploughed) need to be carefull when helping them its caught me out a couple of times.
I live in Vermont and smell manure all the time, I use to work on farms in high school, it's called Fresh air haha. We also say the smell is Vermonts Perfume! Thanks for the great videos! Enjoying them a lot

I heard since the last update there have been more villagers, it obviously more appearant if you havent recruited too many yourself. Also workers should be workig more even without you being around.

I am really loving this game :) If you already know this, then sorry hehehe.. but your villagers eat alphabetically :) So if you store berries in the food storage, they will eat all of them first and on up through the letters :) If you want them to eat Potage, for example, then remove all the edible foods above that. But then your tavern keeper cant pull foods from the storage to cook if you remove them all. LoL I hope the devs will give us a way to set the food that we want the villagers to eat.
If farmers don’t start working, just quicksave (f5) then quickload (f9) and they should all start working. The latest update 1.1.3 should have the workers continue after you’re out of range now. Farmers use their own resources and tools. You only need seeds and manure if you want to farm your own fields unless/until the devs change that later on. I’m keeping plenty of seeds from the harvests just in case. Also, up to three workers will work on a field at once as long as they have different jobs... manure, ploughing, and sowing seeds.
GE I'm finding that my field workers are still really bugged just like yours. I can't seem to get them to work properly either. Until they iron out all of the problems with them, I'm just doing all of the farming myself. It really doesn't take long once you get a system down. Great video!
They are still working, regardless of their animations. Check out your production tab under Management for them, the building they work in. You will see that they are still producing logs, meat, etc.
@@bethanymay3056 Thanks but that actually wasn't my issue. I couldn't get my one and only field worker to plant cabbages. For two whole in game days, she stood there doing nothing. I provided her with tools, bag, seed, etc and nothing. I triple checked that it was the correct season. I just did it myself on the last day before the season changed.

Yup! VERY frustrating!!! They also do not change them out with new seasons. These workers only rotate around the map! I dislike this new change very much. I worked HARD and need descent workers, not crap that I have to compensate for.

It's better to marry one of the village girls, not the homeless ones, I think villagers come with higher stats. I married the girl that starts out at 17 from the first village and she has several level 10 skills.

If inga is your wife and she is pregnant she won't be doing anything for three seasons... So 9 in-game days, plus I believe I heard they also don't do anything while raising the child to a certain age.

Idk what it is. I have all my seeds and manure in my barn, but my field workers are planting and spreading manure without using my resources... I guess this is a good thing so I can get farming points?

Ugh, if he only read his comments!! I am finding it frustrating watching him play, thinking that everyone is lazy because he can't see them doing the work and he doesn't know how to check their production rate (or is refusing to for content role-play???). I have tried explaining this to him many times and it seems like he is just ignoring these comments...ALL of them that talk about this issue.
Would you like to try and put down a field in front of your door just to remove the wild grass and get it nice and flat there, see if it looks good? And when your child is born you should ditch your wife and get that hard working woman. 😂
Actually, all you have to do is talk to her, let her know you are ready to have a baby. You do not need to do anything else. They have kept this G/PG rated, no sex required.

When you skin your kill you automatically pick up your spear (see the text upper left side) if it didn't break.

Your best way to wipe out npc's of their gold is iron arrows hands down. Watched a guy make 800 arrows and walk away with 5500 gold within 10 minutes

For the workers being frozen. Unemploy them and then wait for them to move about then hire them back on. Should fix it.

you need to assign a farmer and field worker on crops not just 2 field workers lol( 1 plants and cultivates farmer) ( 1 gathers crops field worker).
I hope the devs adds the ability to make roads for the town, i like the place where you settled (lots of flat land) but its weird without roads.
