Winter Reminder....2011 Kiveton Park.

I have good memories of Kiveton Park my sister spent her married life there married to a collier. I lived with them for nearly two years in the late 50s and attended Dinnington secondary modern for a term. I still look back and think of those days as some of my best times. The last time i went back was 6years ago for my brother in law's funeral it had changed but the people haven't . lovely video .

Hello,I spent 20 years living away from Kiveton and when I felt the urge to come back it did indeed feel like home....so I stayed. There have been many changes since my childhood, both socially and economically, but yes I agree its the people that make the village and thankfully many are still the families I grew up with....plus the Samuel Smith best bitter in the Saxon Hotel ! thank you for you reply to my comments. I'm of an age when I'm thinking of the places I've lived and putting them in good or not so good places and I'm glad to hear
Kiveton is still a good place to live and you can still relate to your previous time there. It's still one of my favourite places i remember. I'm glad you like Sam Smith's it's also one of mine as well if you ever find yourself in Chester I can recommend the Boot Inn and the Falcon two of Sam's finest. Liked Your photographs brought back good memories.
