@@ranadevraychoudhury Now you have touched a painful subject. The late Smt. Geeta Mayor , was sister to Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. And lived on the family estate in Ahmedabad. Through the 1960s and maybe till as late as the 1980s she invited many musicians to her place and recorded them. In her living room. Around 2004 or 2005 she began to release some of these performances as CDs. Sharafat Hussain Khan, Siddheshwari Devi, a rather tired Rasoolan Bai, among others. Cannot recall just now. She expired in or around 2009. But the vast bulk of this treasure is still at her place. And her daughter, maybe only offspring, refuses to continue the work. And simply sits on them.
From the Sarabhai collectoion. Superb.
What a beautiful rendition...would be much obliged if you could throw more light on the Sarabhai collection.....thank you so much
