Thank you Mark and Nadia for sharing Nanny Di with us.She is amazing lady! To get rid of odors in your house leave a bowl of small vinegar in the kitchen and it will remove all the odors from your house. AND I'm really impressed how Mark knows New York like the back of his hand too.

Aww Mark know just what you mean when you leave the big apple, you leave a bit of your heart there ❤️ it’s a place like no other for invoking so many emotions, but wonderful memories have been made and thanks to your hard work, captured on film! Bless nanny Di rallied round and looked so much better in the morning, I’d been quite worried about her, but guess it is the pace of city life, very strenuous so she dud amazingly and such a lovely companion. Great filming too Nadia and btw the smell of fish .... huumm I’m the same when you cook it, I usually burn some incense sticks and that helps a bit. 💕👍

Nadia burn a candle when cooking fish, you can get ones specifically for your kitchen to eliminate cooking smells, but any candle or even the wax melts will do. Oh Nadia my son is 21 now and fabulous to his old mum but I remember him being too embarrassed to walk beside me!! Dont worry, secretly I'm sure she's very proud.What a day, Nanny Di announces that nothing hurts and shes now operating at New York speed. Mark, on the other hand, is now talking about not feeling too good and being resurrected into a coffee bean! Plus ça change!
Thank you for sharing your experiences whilst visiting the fabulous NYC. Definitely will be going at some stage as your trip has been very inspiring however, there is no place like home and the equally fabulous Crystal Palace just hasn't been the same without you!

Thank you Mark for putting together another great vlog. It's been a fantastic journey to join you and Nanny Di in NYC, it's almost like you took us subs with you too! Safe travels home. Looking forward to seeing you Nadia on the new show soon, although I'm not a fan of Big Nasty I'm a fan of yours so it'll be worth checking out. Oh, try using fresh lemons cut in half in hot water and keep on a low simmer whilst cooking your fish or soak your fish in milk or lemon juice for about half an hour before cooking it, it won't spoil the flavour of the fish but reduces the cooking odors 😊 be lovely seeing you all together again for your next vlog. Hope Mark and Nanny Di return home safe and sound. Lots of love to you all xxxx
Would Nanny Di consider doing a monthly or even three monthly book club on your vlogs? She’s clearly a bibliophile and I’m fascinated that she mentioned studying contemporary American authors as - I’d love to know what she thinks of George Saunders whom I adore. Thanks so much Mark for including us in your trip by taking such time and effort to film and edit. It was brilliant. Nadia - you get rid of the smell of fish in a microwave by putting a lemon , cut in half, in it with a little water so I’m guessing that the same principle would apply to a larger room..perhaps boil/steam a couple of lemon halves? Also leaving a bowl of bicarbonate of soda out is a brilliant natural way of clearing an odour. Last but not least ...jeez book clubs to fish smells..😂....Nanny Di has all the symptoms of diabetes - an unquenched thirst only sated by fizzy drinks, urinary frequency and fatigue. Hope she gets her bloods done and best of luck with the knee replacement after which she’ll hopefully get assistance to wean off these painkillers. she’s done brilliantly in NYC as the pain of arthritis is underestimated but codiene based analgesics are terribly bad for the body and rarely prescribed now due to this. ❤️🚦🗽
Nanny di is a trooper , I went to New York in my early 50s and I was exhausted .

I remember the first time I drove to NYC from Ottawa, Canada. I was so EXCITED, especially driving through the Holland Tunnel to Manhatten, I may have shed a tear with joy. lol Such a fun city, so glad you had a wonderful time! lol, So funny Mark can smell spliff's everywhere, its the same here in Vancouver

Omg, Mark has the exact same sense of humour as my brother. And he had done things like this to my mom all the time, to which my mom would say "oh shut up Bobby" lol Now he does it to me and I sound just like my mom. But always in fun.

We are going to new york next week im 58 and no way am i doing the walking nanny Di has done. We havent been before so we are going to the main tourist attractions. We are going to use the hop on hop off bus or cabs but there are 4 of us so a cab would be cheaper between 4 i presume. Loving the vlogs but feel for nanny Di. Has Nadia been to new york previously with Mark?

Brexit is such a worry for so many. I feel as though I'm in total limbo - my parents are in their 80s both with serious heart problems (my father cannot, on medical advice, even go on holiday for a couple of days); we live in France and although I really wanted to go back to the UK I chose to stay to care for them. They will be able to get the appropriate cards to stay as they have their pension but I do not have enough income to match the critia to be able to get a card (even though I have lived here for over 17 years). I will be heartbroken if I have to leave them when they need me the most especially as I won't be able to afford to travel back to see them. I know I am just a 'number' but the human suffering Brexit is causing is terrible. Ironically I have a french friend who lives in the UK who is afraid they will be told to leave UK, he has lived there for 30 years. It is all so sad. Love your vlogs, thank you for making all us subs smile

Hiya Nadia, You get kitchen candles from Lakeland specifically for helping to get rid of fish smells and I also put some vinegar in a bowl and let it absorb the fish smells while I'm cooking it . I don't like cooking fish much either because of the smell.x
Burn a scented candle Nadia to help get rid of the smell of fish ( Yankee Candle ) is good.

Just catching up with your NY trip. You both seem to of had a great time. Nanny Di made me laugh with plain water lol I know the feeling of looking up at a tall building and feeling bit dizzy. Happened to me as i looked up at the shard from the opposite side of the road.

Just a thought for poor Nanny Di, 10,000 steps...don't they vary depending on your age and level of fitness?! 😅 I think it's great you had this time together, parent and adult child time can be special., thank you for sharing it with us. Nadia, I cook my salmon in the oven because of the smell. I package it in glad bake with slices of lemon.. I know what you mean by the trying to be healthy, it begins to do your head in, it seems there is not a lot that's truely "safe" to eat. 🙃

I enjoy watching you walking round NY makes me miss the place and want to have another trip there. How on earth do you manage to sleep after drinking espresso all day though especially the six double ones 🤪 Also for Nanny Di I think Diet Coke contains aspartame which is supposed to be the worse sweetener for your health, also your better off sticking to still water.
Nanny Di has got the “ I’m full of beans,because I’m going home face”. But she has done so well,and I’m very envious,I long to go to nyc,but I doubt it will happen now.

Nanny di carbonated drink are bad in general, it can disolve bone 🦴 stick to still drinkks👍🏻Nadia febreeze spray or zoflora in a sprayer, or neat wiped on radiators, cut up lemons 🍋 work well too 💕👌🏻👍🏻x

Mark, don't forget when buying anything in the U.S you need to remember tax is not included so you need to factor that in before buying anything. Also each state has a different tax rate.
