I was there!! There were a tone of technical difficulties being the first show of the Tour. The Giant Lemon among other things but the band still put on an amazing show!! One of my favorite shows.
The Edge nearly nailed the studio tone of Pride... He should use the Grestch or a Gibson hollow body for this song. The Strat and single coils just don't do it for Pride..
But he’s always played it on strat. The music video is just a music video. He’s done it on other songs. Like even better than the real thing had him play his sunburst Gibson Es 335 or look a like, when he actually used the Ricky
This is a very interesting verion, Edge playing the Gretch and a semitone higher then the rest of the tour. You can see B struggling but he gives it is all
on the original version of "Pride", it was played in E standard tuning. But since then they lowered it to Eb tuning, and for this tour, it was put into D tuning, but on this performance, Bono probably forgot to tell Edge that he can't sing it like that anymore. Very under-rehearsed, but brilliant all the same!
I remember Adam Clayton saying "It was the most scariest concert ever. At anytime, the stage could have came falling on us". This was a terrible concert. But they improved big time over the tour. Mexico City or Leeds are prime examples.
Pobre Bono. Estaba tan nervioso y estresado con la mierda de recital que estaban haciendo que se olvido la primera estrofa. Así y todo, este reictal de Las Vegas es de culto. U2 dando jugo por todos lados, pero poniendo la cara para sacar el concierto adelante.
No es que halla olvidado la letra sino que the edge esta tocando una nota mas alta y no la puede cantar incluso en el coro practicamente esta gritanto, pobre bono

Edge is playing to high, Bono is making gestures that his voice isn't in a good shape to sing that high. That's why the song is crap.
