      Very kind of you to say this Leszek. I always thought I sucked so this makes me feel good.

    Beautiful knife. I like hearing the sound the knife makes as it also is helpful in gauging the performance. Definitely looks like a fun knife that can tackle most tasks with ease.

      At 250mm with this amount of belly height it definitely pushes me outside of my comfort zone. Find it hard to control for precision work. Crazy that for some, 250 is on the small end of their gyuto collection. So you’re not saying necessarily you like this type of review video but you do appreciate not having any background music so you can hear the knife more.

      @@KitchenKnifeGuy Probably was too brief in the comment. I liked this format very much. I felt like it was a more clear window into your impressions.

      @Steelforfood because the impressions happen on the spot right? So preference for this potentially over my classic approach.

    Really enjoyed this style of knife review, and esthetically speaking I may have a new favorite knife!! 😍

      Since it’s easy for us to chat I may send you a message to see what exactly you liked compared to the former review model and how I can combine that with this model. And oh my; a knife finally beat the copper Damascus one. That says a lot haha.

    You know. I don’t know which type of review I like better. ASMR or the regular kind that you do. Either one is great! Love the knife! Looks amazing 🤩

      So your answer is 50/50. Appreciate it. If ever you wake up one morning and you’re leaning more one way or another let me known. I guess the good news is, so long as you like what I produce the direction to get there doesn’t matter.

    I like that I can hear the knife cut. The sound of the cut is important.

      There is starting to be a consensus. Got it. No music for knife demo and potentially voiceover is ok. Thank you for sharing.

    I've seen these around and they're beautiful knives. Now I guess I have to try to get my hands on one this year! I had a chance to purchase a 200mm Gyuto but that's too small for me. Waiting for a 250!

      So you’re waiting for one in this size! What handle and steel?

    Thank you for reviewing this knife. You make great content. I just bought this knife from Chef's Edge. 👍

      Thanks so much for leaving this comment. Means a lot. Which Leszek knife did you get from Chefs Edge? I know they had a really cool one with copper lately. Love that shop so much.

      @@KitchenKnifeGuy I got the San Mai Gyuto 200mm which I believe is the same as the "Graphite" one that you reviewed. It's my first time ordering from them. I am looking forward to more knife reviews from your channel.

    Is this the 26c3 or the apex ultra? How do you like this knife?

    • @KitchenKnifeGuy

      The answer to both those questions is in the video. And more. Likely worth a watch.

    This style is better. ASMR can be slightly turned down but nice having no distracting background music

    • @KitchenKnifeGuy
      @KitchenKnifeGuy  8 місяців тому

      Super appreciate your feedback. So maybe I can still show my face and introduce the video, but then say something like here's the unboxing, etc., and keep comments for voiceover over knife demo with no background music. Turning down a little the sound of the cutting.

    • @xChiili

      @@KitchenKnifeGuy Definitely yeah. The important part from my perspective is to avoid the unnecessary noises in the background. Should be improved audience experience and should convert better as well

    • @KitchenKnifeGuy
      @KitchenKnifeGuy  7 місяців тому

      Awesome so I’ll try to avoid background music from on.

    I need a choil shot.
    I like the voice over, but it's a little too ASMR for my liking.
    I like food cutting videos, so this is great. Looks too thick at the heel as you described.

    • @KitchenKnifeGuy
      @KitchenKnifeGuy  8 місяців тому

      Send me a message on IG and I’ll gladly send you a choil shot. So your vote is my classic review style: mention what I think about a knife with small snippets of b roll and finish video with knife demo?

    • @jiahaotan696
      @jiahaotan696 8 місяців тому

      This is good. I'm on IG with handle (at)sparrowsharpening.
      I meant that if you were to shoot nice clips of the bevel and handle and even spine, you might as well include the choil for better visualisation, which to me (as a knife enthusiast) is important since you really can't tell until you see the knife in person and hopefully even get to use it and sharpen it before knowing exactly how the steel and knife performs fully. So every little bit of information helps.@@KitchenKnifeGuy
