- Hello everyone! I will see you August 1st, once I have this whole new life just a bit more figured out ❤️ so many contrasts: things feel slower... yet time is flying by. I think I need to do a hundred things, when I really only need to do one at a time. Life is overwhelming, yet comforting, scary yet exciting. Things are hard sometimes, and yet my family is supporting me each step of the way. And at the end of the day, this new life is absolutely overflowing with love, which keeps me going through it all.

It is always such a miracle, I am 70 and I can still recall each of my 3 babies I had and how they smelled, their face and every little detail. Enjoy this precious time it goes by so quickly.

My son came to me after the birth of his first son and said, “My heart has burst open so wide, I never understood…and now I do” The memory brings me to tears.
I am 62, my children (!) are 30, 33, and 35. I don’t anticipate grandchildren, though I hope my kids will experience this joy.

My son fell into my arms in tears of joy after the birth of his first child. All he said was, oh mum, mum ❤
You know. I just might cry. I wasn’t expecting this video, but ohhhhhh, I have been hoping. So many times I have wondered “The Cottage Fairy will have had her beautiful baby by now. I do hope all went well” so to see those precious wee hands, and the beautiful shape of a new borns head….just made me overflow with emotion. Being tired is hard. Being sore, is hard, ohhhh, but there is no feeling quite like that of holding your new baby in your arms. Ohhhh, and I remember the middle of the night feeds, when you were so tired, and it was so tired, and your husband is softly snoring beside you, and your baby is snacking, and you get a wee windy smile, just for you! So precious. Enjoy every moment. ❤
My mum said when she had her second baby she didn't know how she could fit more love into her heart, but when she saw him, she realised love doesn't halve, it doubles. I was number four! May the faeries and angels bless you and your beautiful family Paola x

Oh wow! How wonderful ❤ sending many blessings to your family and your little one! ❤ My daughter is now 22 - they grow up so fast and don't stay babies for long. Cherish every moment! I was stupid and spent far too much time cleaning, working and making and i can't get back that time, life doesn't have an undo button. I wish i had spent more time just being with her and enjoying time with her instead of trying to give her everything and worrying and doing things that didn't matter or profit. Hoping and praying you will stay well- may God give you all the strength and wisdom you need to be a mother to this little darling bundle of joy.

Your advice is very good. The priest in our parish is so wise, daily come to him about 50-60 people to confession, he speaks with a lot of people and he said his advice for young families is that the mother should not work. Even if it means having less money, the child will be happier if he is eith his mother, if she is there to sing him a song, tell him a tale, play with him, go outside. But if you never have time for him, then he will remember that, it will create a void in his heart which he will never be able to fill.
@@vavanz True, but this advice seems authoritative. "Don't do it" sounds more like a command and warning than warm advice. Unsure how it was meant, but reading it fell off. Also, she can spend time with her new baby and vlog. I think it's important to trust others that they know what is best for themselves, especially when you don't know them personally and there are many details and facts you don't know. Of course, there's no pressure for The Cottage Fairy, Paola to return but if she feels she's ready it's not on anyone to tell her not to. Wishing you all the best!

My son turns 45 day after tomorrow and it seems like just yesterday that I was bringing him home from the hospital and laying him in his new little crib for the first time.
I wish I could go back just one day and hold him in my arms again. My joy now is that I have this wonderful adult son who is just amazing and fills my heart with so much love and happiness!!!

Enjoy! I can recommend wool or wool/silk so much for baby’s clothes. You don’t need many of them, they are so encapsulating for the little one and ventilate far better than cotton in the summer. Another game changer has been pottying them from the start while still putting on diapers. Saved baby so much rash and is so connecting between parent and baby. All the best, Lotte -mom of 5

I remember the season after birthing my first baby. I was overwhelmed with fear that I didn’t have what it takes and that I would fail him. I am so grateful for family and friends who spoke gentle, reassuring truth into me. I had 3 more babies over the next 7 years. Those weeks/months after welcoming a new baby came to be some of my most cherished times in my life. I love the forced slowness. I also love the way it helped me focus on essentials and challenged me to let the rest go.
