Yes, same here, its horrible to get it out, got it all cleaned up with rustbrush and stuff, and still got ruined. Terrible thing. I ended up buying new ones, couldnt save them.
So on my front stabilizer bar link on my 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer ES has a semi-stripped Allen Key socket. You mentioned having to ruin the link to get it off, so I was wondering what you did to remove it. Spent 3+ hours on the single bolt trying various remedies and nothing.
hi man,, did you have any problen after, because i instaled lowering sprins, but in the front part is noisy i can hear two pieces of metal crashing thank you
This looks much more helpful than any other videos. I know which one I'm watching when I get my springs! Thanks man!
LOWERING SPRINGS, what model and series did you use?
Honestly I came here because I thought I might find an easier way of getting the sway bar link bolt out I see I'm not the only one having this issue 😂

Where did you angle grind it? Like fully mangled or slightly.
Nothing about the alignment of the spring seat to the shock, so the holes in both have to line up?
