  • Has this economic downturn caused a deficit in your craft budget? Do you have a lot of time on your hands due to this whole quarantine thing? Do you have a lot of old sweaters in your closet that you don't wear anymore?
Well! If the answer to any of those questions was YES, then boy do I have a video for you!
This is Part 3 in a series of videos that will explain how to quickly and easily take apart your unwanted sweaters and reuse them for the yarn. In this video I show you how to take over a Standard Pullover Sweater using the Magic Thread method. All you have to do is find the V's! Make sure you've watched Part 2 before watching this video, where I go into detail about how to find the Magic Thread.
Don't throw out your old clothes, recycle them! You can easily and cheaply revamp your yarn stash for knitting, crocheting, weaving, or even rug making projects!
What's even better about using reclaimed sweater yarn, is that a lot of commercially made sweaters are machine washable and dryable, meaning that whatever you make using the reclaimed yarn will also be machine washable and dryable! It's great for baby clothes, baby blankets, dishcloths, pillow covers, afghans, throw rugs, or even new sweaters!
Get ready, get set and let's give your old sweaters a whole new life!
